"Service is always friendly and Joey K's is always Joey K's consistency is king here. The seafood is always hot and fresh. The staff always has a smile if it's 4 tables or 40 being served. They are a neighborhood spot through and through and where I always take visitors to city for that first bite or NOLA."
"On the whole this is a 4 1/2 star restaurant but bring that they are in a small town I'm bumping it up to a five. It's cute. It takes me back to yesteryear and I love the bayou accents. The employees were all friendly and nice. I was dressed more big city than country and everyone treated me well (that doesn't always happen in small towns). I got two appetizers as my lunch and that was plenty. First, I ordered the shrimp boulettes. This reminded me of deep-fried a shrimp shumai but even better. Oh my goodness it was good. When I first saw my lunch I thought they I'd want ranch and nope, I didn't need any sauce. Why mess up perfection?I also got the alligator jalapeño bites. They were good without being too spicy but the inside was too mushy for me. For the most part they had the flavor right it was Just a texture thing. They were just the right amount of spicy and flavor though."

"Came back here for my 2nd time (after the 1st many years ago) for a K9 Rouge Rescue event and was impressed with everything! The staff was so helpful for us setting up space for the pups, the food was delicious, and the setting is just precious (as it was the first time I went). My favorite find was probably the fruit-infused lemonades! I couldn't get enough!! I hope next time I come they offer alligator corndogs again as I was really hoping to try that out. All good though as they have so many options, and no doubt they're all delicious!"
"My husband and I came here in the afternoon after a lunch date. The bar was pretty empty, there was only one other group besides us, but I'm not really shocked considering the time of day. The bar was really clean and inviting with big windows in the front letting in the beautiful sunlight. Lots of fun decor all around too. The bartender here was great. I told him I was looking to get a gose and he let me sample all the different ones they had, explaining them as I tried them. He also put up with my husband's dad jokes . This place has a huge selection of beer and spirits. I was pretty impressed. We were only able to stay for one drink, but we will be back next time we have a sitter."
"Yelp Review 2024 #55:A few years ago after seeing Domilise on the Food Network, I tried coming here assuming they're open on a Sunday. I remember it was raining and I was staying in the French Quarter area - good thing my friend lived in New Orleans and drove me around.Fast forward to a few years later, I finally got to try what Alex Guarnaschelli was raving about. The place is old, small, laidback but a very good representation of New Orleans: no need for anything fancy, just proudly telling its story and culture. A few tables and chairs and it's ok to share your table with a stranger or two. It gets busy and crowded here. If that's too much for you, you can always take your food to-go but eat it quickly. The ordering process is pretty simple. You look at the menu if you didn't look it up ahead of time, go to the counter to place your order and pay, and wait about 20 minutes for your food. The service was friendly. My original idea was to try their shrimp po boy, oyster po boy, and a roast beef po boy. But that's a lot of food for one person. Time to narrow my choice. I'm not a huge fan of oysters so, there goes the oyster po boy. I hear a lot of good things about the shrimp po boy but I was craving beef since I've been eating seafood in NOLA. But towards the bottom of the menu, it says "Surf n Turf" - roast beef po boy with shrimp! No need to choose. I can have both! Next dilemma was whether or not to get fries. Fried potatoes is always a good idea but what if it's too much food?It did end up being too much food. So, my trick was take off the buns on one half of the sandwich and stack everything into one massive sandwich. It was messy, hard to eat and required a lot of napkins but I had space for my fries! The Surf n Turf Po Boy was a very good call. The beef was juicy and tender, the shrimp was lightly battered and crunchy with great flavors.Their sandwiches come in 2 sizes: small and large. They have soda, alcohol, etc to wash it all down. You'll leave full and completely satisfied for under $25."
"We walked by this bar several times while exploring the French Quarter, and the $2 beers and well drinks sign finally drew us in. To say this wasn't one of the most fun bars we visited on the trip would be an understatement. There's plenty to do and enjoy here - beer pong, hook ring, jenga. Even if country music isn't your thing (it's not mine), the drink prices more than make up for it. The bartenders were friendly, and since it wasn't crowded, getting drinks was easy. They have bars both upstairs and downstairs, although the upstairs one was closed while we were there (wasn't busy so it made sense). Tip: don't miss out on taking advantage of the free photo booth upstairs!"
"Overall I would say the restaurant is a 6/10 . For starters Host - Lilly was phenomenal, she was very welcoming and attentive. Server - Chris started off great but I believe things took a turn once I let him know that my steak was extremely salty . He informed the manager Tina and she approached the table very aggressively without any introduction of who she was and started "You didn't like your steak ? " My response , No it is extremely salty . Tina - Would you like me to get you another one with no seasoning at all ? Me - No , that's fine . Tina - Takes the plate and walks off abruptly. Moments later Chris checks in with the table and says "Did my manager take care of everything for you ?"Me - No , but I'm ok. Chris - "She bought your steak .. that's what you wanted right ? " I could only let off a deep sigh because Tina did not buy me anything nor take the leadership role as a manager to assure customer satisfaction. Her demeanor was very condescending and it shows that the characteristics trickled down upon the server . I would definitely say the kitchen needs a little more structure as all of our entrees and sides came out staggered and not all at once , and after having a conversation with another patron while waiting to use the restroom she stated he brother and law had come last week and his steak was extremely salty and dry . That makes me to believe it depends on who's working. I loved the crispy oysters and wouldn't mind returning for them as well as the delicious rum idk fashion however Tina put a real damper on my experience and I would hate to be disappointed a second time and receive piss poor customer service."
"Absolutely loved this place! I've been wanting to come here for a while and finally did to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant is so decked out and decorated, even now during the holidays. I had a spicy margarita and it was delicious, not too spicy. I ordered the bone marrow tacos and the marrow was rich and tasty. I tried my husband's birria tacos and I was a little disappointed in them. The consomé came to us cold and it overall made me not a fan of the dish. One of our friends ordered the Al pastor dish and I can't speak to the taste but it came out on a vertical roaster and looked awesome. They did agree that it tasted better than the birria tacos. One fun thing we got to see was a fire breathing bartender show! We were the 10th birthday celebration that night and I think that speaks to how popular and fun this place. Definitely recommend it!"
"Met some friends here on a hot summer Sunday and it was a cool vibe. Luckily it was not too crowded. I've been on other days where it was a much larger crowd and almost shoulder to shoulder and that's no fun! My bartender was Abe and his service and bartending skills are top notch!"
"Worth the night. Dad was playing awesome hit music and telling terrible dad jokes, which made it all the more enjoyable. Service was amazing. Shrimp platter with root beer just hits the spot after a long day. It may be a little loud, but it's just the sound of the large family of Louisiana having a good time."
"Rampart Treehouse was one of my first stops in New Orleans. I had bookmarked it on Yelp and when I checked into my hotel, I realized it was withing walking distance. The menu is super simple but fun. This is a great spot to stop by for drinks and some pizza. We actually stopped by 3 out of our 5 day trip to NOLA. The first day was during happy hour so we got vodka lemonades and pizza. Annie was our bartender. She was awesome! So cool and she's super stylish. She took great care of us. The pizza was SO good. I'm back home and I still thinking of that pizza haha. There was also ranch dressing made in house, it was sublime. Drinks were nice and strong. Interior decor was amazing. Music was perfection. It's such a chill place. If you're in New Orleans I definitely recommend this chill place!"
"Its so delicious. The salmon bites are top tier. The eggrolls are yummy. We loved everything"

Joey K's is sort of the neighborhood restaurant for those of us who live in the Garden District. It's homey, has down home New Orleans food and is a great place to go for a casual lunch. The blackberry cobbler is to die for. The appetizers are big enough to eat as an entree. Great onion rings, seafood, pasta, too. They don't take reservations but have accommodated my large extended family if we call ahead and go early. I recommend it to anyone coming to shop Magazine Street.

My sister loves Frankie's Dawg House and usually makes a point of stopping in at least once when she's in town. Her go to is the Chuck Norris which is topped with chili, cheese, bacon, onions and jalapeños - that a lot of toppings. I would just usually get a regular hotdog, chili cheese, nothing special for me. Their sitting area has a nice cozy feel, not what you would expect for my hotdog place. Great service as well. The last time we were there I ordered two corndogs for a change of pace, and the corndog wasn't cooked long enough and the center was a bit cold. They ended up making me two more, no questions asked. I've spoken with the owner a few times. Very nice gentleman. I even made a YouTube video here once and talked to one of the employees about the cat which is actually named Frankie. If I recall correctly, Frankie's is actually named after a cat! You also find more interesting choices on the menu. There's a deer hotdog and alligator and such. So there's definitely something for everyone. Even vegetarian choices.

Heavens, what can be said about this place. It is an experience beyond all lunch places imaginableIt was so packed and chaotic that one could hardly move. Everyone kept an even cheerful tone, both employees and patrons. The crush of arriving people, however, had a line out the door. They eventually stopped taking orders to catch up with the meal preparation. You now enter on a side door, order at the bar and pick up when they call you name in the prep area.I ordered a large po' boy half with shrimp and half with oysters. Accompanying it I got a bag of chips and a root beer.It took a considerable time to get it due to the backup of orders, but they did their very best to move it along. The po' boy was excellent, the shrimp and oysters absolutely delicious with the dressing in exceptional bread. The meal itself was such a treat, and although the chaos annoying, it was worth it.I happen to like these po' boys over the ones at Parkway, but it's a matter of personal taste, similar to Coke or Pepsi. This is a hole in the wall place but well worth a visit, or two, or more.

Stopped in this side bar off bourbon street and it did not disappoint. The upstairs has a great bar area with lots of seating and a mechanical chicken (to ride if you dare)! The bartenders were great and the guy operating the chicken machine got everyone to participate and have a good time.

Such a beautiful restaurant- and it's a very popular place right now. We arrived a little early for our reservation and squeezed in at the bar - the bartenders were busy but cheerful. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time, so the hostess poured us a little half glass of bubbles, which was appreciated and a nice touch. For appetizers we ordered the salmon crudo and lamb lollipops. The crudo was excellent. The feta with the lamb was delicious- the lamb tasted like a campfire to me. This is a flavor that some people enjoy so it's a matter of personal preference- but it wasn't for me. We ordered filets which were both cooked perfectly. Creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were good. We tried the chocolate cake which was also good and a unique presentation. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

My friend and I dined here after our disappointing visit to Morrow's Steak. It was like night and day. We were greeted and sat at the bar right away. We tried the margarita of the day, which was fruit punch. It was delicious! Our appetizer was the elotes. So good and the corn was juicy! I had the Chicken tacos and my friend had the Brirra tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. The restaurant is really cute and picture perfect! I'll definitely be back!

"Just discovered Mr Tequila while exploring Freret Street and I was impressed! We wondered in after 6pm on a weekday and quickly found a seat at the bar as happy hour was kicking off. As we ordered other locals also arrived seeking their favorite tables. On this visit, we kept it simple and ordered drinks and several appetizers to share. We enjoyed Queso, Tamales and LOADED Chicken Fajitas Nachos that defied expectations in every way. Serious we loved these Fajita Nachos so much we plan to visit again just for another taste.Hopefully next time we visit Mr. Tequila we will try more of the menu, but from what we had a taste of we have fallen in love with this place and recommend for couples seeking a date night and small group get togethers."
"It was one of those nights where Mimi's started to get crowded, so we headed across the street to this place. I had never been before, and there weren't many people here when the bartender introduced himself- I think his name was Steve. We chatted briefly with a nice couple that was sitting at the bar. They explained that they were neighborhood regulars and raved about what a great place it was. I had to agree- they had good music on the speakers and everyone was having a good time. There wasn't much else going on this particular night. We all just sat around and talked and had a good time. I'd return."
"We had a party of 17 people and used the party room. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Can't beat the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. We will be back very soon. Highly recommend!"
"First time trying Spoke and Barrel, wonderful atmosphere. Clean comfy seating. Friendly staff. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something different. Pet friendly patio."
"Really wish we had more time to have a full meal here. This place is modest on the outside with a nice set up. I tried the chopped salad earlier, which was very good. Take a break from the heat and come chill!"
"I've always been a fan of Port Orleans since my first visit. They have a rotating selection of beers brewed in house. My personal favorite at the moment is the Oktoberfest, even if it's August and still in the 90s. You can't go wrong with the Jax beer, too. If you remember the old days, it's the same recipe and tastes just right. The staff is always friendly, especially when it's slow inside but also when they're busy. One thing that's important to know, they used to sell their beers in stores, but earlier this year they stopped, so the only way to have them is at the brewery now. They do sell beer to go, along with THC seltzers and a few NA options. If I had to make one complaint (and it's not even that serious of a complaint) it's that a lot of the beers are very high alcohol content. They have always been delicious when I've tried them but if I drink two of them the night is over! They are really good though. There is a good restaurant inside called Avo Taco. I haven't been there in a while so I will do a separate review later, or just try it while you're there!"
"Great pizza bar service from super friendly staff. Really nice slice! Next time I'm ordering the pesto drizzled pie!"
"I give this place 5 stars because of how well done everything is for being such a new business. It has a very local vibe for Saint Charles and the staff were very helpful (recommended favorites) and enjoyable to talk to. I will say the pizza exceeded my expectations-- New Orleans is definitely lacking in the pizza scene, but this slice was worth coming back for. Another thing i really liked was the many different options of beers they have. Sours, IPA's, Lagers, Stouts. I mean.. that's a good but for such a new/small craft brewery! Anyways, i'm happy this place opened up and I will definitely be coming back. Can't wait to see how this place grows!"
"Amazing service! What a cool place. We stopped in before our 1p wedding and had a blast! Benjamin is THE best!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"This bar is in my top five list. They are known for their mojitos and is probably one of the first craft cocktail bars in the city before craft cocktail bars were popular. You walk in and it is a hole in the wall, but keep going till you reach the back patio. The ambience is great and filled with religious decor everywhere. It is fitting for a New Orleans bar. The service here is always great. They do not have food, but you are on Magazine Street, come here for a fresh mojito or two after dinner."
"Was in town for a conference and staying just down the road. My coworker and I decided to give this a shot since it had decent reviews and was close.Holy beef brisket nachos, it was delicious. We ended up going two more times during our stay, (don't judge it was raining) and the food was amazing each time. The brisket nachos are a delicious take on classic bar food. The crawfish pies were so good. Tasty and warm and the perfect ratio of filling to crust. The brisket quesadilla to also perfectly cheesy and brisket-y. But the highlight was absolutely the onion rings. They were the best gd onion rings I have had in my long and well travelled life. The PERFECT onion ring.Season and fried to perfection.Definitely get the onion rings.Actually get two. They're that delicious. All the food is amazing and I recommend this very HIGHLY.Just a perfect bar with great food.Go. No really go."
"I'm giving this place 5 stars just to say that in the late 60's this was a great boutique steak house that was especially friendly to us in college at the time providing a great place to take a date with terrific ambience and specials not on the menu pricing for us. Todd the owner or manager was exceptional and did the college community a great service. So disappointed that it's just a memory. Good luck and have fun. I'm sure if there's a heaven Todd is there greeting guests."
"This place is a gem. The food and drinks are amazing. The Taco's are delicious. It is a funky place on St Claude and just feels like home. The staff is warm and fun. I highly recommend you do your taste buds a favor and head over as soon as possible."
"Super impressed!!!The peach slushie is the best beer slushie I've ever tried! And I really enjoyed having the little paper to order our flight- it gave us time to read over each one (love that Pastelita!)It was too hot to sit outside but I like the patio"
"My last review for the Lost Cove was pre-pandemic. I happened to be in the area and wanted to check them out again. They did not disappoint. On a Monday night I needed a chill place where I could have great conversation, not be overwhelmed by MNF or loud music. They had a great mix of classic rock and pop playing with MNF on the TV but muted. Atmosphere was very chill which was amazing. The bartender, Jeff was super helpful and friendly. This is definitely an awesome hidden gem to hang out and have a great cocktail or 2."
"I really enjoy this bar! Its basically the ONLY bar on the Westbank that really carries craft brews as its mainstay. Well kinda. Its still makes its living selling the regular stuff to the uninitiated. That's when the craft beers are consumed more as a dare. Sometimes a Bud, Coors or Lite drinker will convert. Its a really classy looking place. Definitely not what you would expect. Yes its a smoking bar. Don't let that deter you though. Its a big place with high ceilings and even when I was there for a very crowded night, it never got choking bad. So on a typical night or afternoon its almost non existent. Also seems the smokers mingle on the far inside end of the bar keeping that smoke away. This bar is also part of the Untapped online app. You can check the rotating beers before heading out there. Its also a full bar so they can make good looking cocktails though I never had one yet.Plenty of pool tables, dart boards and on a stage for live music. There is a online AMI jukebox with a wide swath of music. Plenty of TVs and sometimes there is free food. All of the bartenders are super friendly and the owners are cool. I try to visit often to help support this craft beer bar. Prices are inline with everyone else, but there is happy hour specials.Take a ride to 4th street and check it out ya heard!"
"Wonderful food, service, and BBQ sauces! The potato brought me back to my childhood. We came in from out of town, but this is work an hour drive for lunch!"
"Look small on outside but inside is another story. Very niceThis is an amazingly good restaurant. Tuesday is taco Tuesday. Their $4 margarita is kickinMy dish is well prepared. I ordered Pollo Hawaiian Seasoned to perfection. The Charro beans taste like New Orleans red beans. How do? Seasoning running through it, the trilogy of seasoning welcoming a place in your palateNicholas ordered the Birra bowlTaco Tuesday offered $4 margarita. Let's go iMorgan cityGotta mention Kedian, my waiter was amazing. Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. Very polite and friendly"
"Waited a while on a busy Friday night (45 ish minutes). I think they might've been slightly under staffed but all in all we had a good experience for our first time eating here. Our waiter Reed was polite and efficient with our order. Food came exactly as we ordered it and drinks stayed full, one thing I look for when being served. My burger (Casual Cow) was an excellent medium and seasoned well, fries were good too.Parking was a tad small but not unreasonable, while it looks like a bar vibe it's somewhere I'd be happy to bring family and friends. There was a good bit of room between tables as well. The last possible con if you will is the single bathrooms (that we saw) were small and definitely not for more than one person at a time (at least for the men's room) We'll definitely be back for the food and service **** very good"
"I know I just may have not found the perfect spot in Cali for Mexican food but I'm Slidell I hit the jackpot. Pedro's was amazing. From the customer service to the entertainment. We sat outside like the three amigos and enjoyed great margaritas, conversation and great food. The waitress was polite and took very good care of us. The food topped all other Mexican I've had this year and when I finally get back home I will be visiting here again. I had the nachos and it was huge serving enough for two easily. The flavor was a dance party in my mouth."
"I was rewarded in my French Quarter meanderings for checking out this marvelous brew pub. They have a contraption called a bier puppeteer. Apparently it has German origins. I have great video of a guy dumping his bier as he tries to take a sip. He promptly ordered another.I ordered a 90s Women's Power Ballads Hazy IPA and a Märza Märza Märza Dunkel German brown lager. Hit the spot. Hope I have an uneventful stroll back to the hotel! The stainless brew tanks are an arm's length away. If you love craft brew on tap, come here!"
"Luna Tequila, located in the historical Olde Towne district made an everlasting first impression! The ambience & decor has a warm welcoming presence, with genuinely friendly customer service. If you're a fan of margaritas, this is the place where you'll find the perfect margarita, refreshing, smooth & flavor hard to resist! There are also so many top shelf options, whether it's tequila, whiskey, vodka or whatever preferences anyone may have?! Luna Tequila is the perfect place to chill at the bar top, or hangout with friends in lounge area without the loud crowds as the neighboring bars. Bar bites are also available for ordering, but unfortunately I arrived near closing time & didn't have the opportunity to try out the food. Plus I had already had dinner With that said, I'll be looking forward to try out the bar bites on my next bar experience at Luna Tequila!"
"We were in Abbeville pre-festival and someone recommended Shuck's for dinner. It was a great recommendation. It was crowded so we put our name on the list and went to the bar. Our drinks had just arrived when our table became ready. My wife ordered the Oysters Rockafeller and I ordered a cup of the crab and corn soup, the red beans, rice, and fried catfish (which also came with a small potato salad and a house salad). Whoowe was that a lot of delicious food...some of the best I have ever had...and too much for the bread pudding I had planned for dessert. Excellent service, great food, and very reasonable prices. Had planned to come back the next day for the rum sauced bread pudding but they are closed on Sundays. Oh well, maybe next time."
