"Service is always friendly and Joey K's is always Joey K's consistency is king here. The seafood is always hot and fresh. The staff always has a smile if it's 4 tables or 40 being served. They are a neighborhood spot through and through and where I always take visitors to city for that first bite or NOLA."
"Yelp Review 2024 #55:A few years ago after seeing Domilise on the Food Network, I tried coming here assuming they're open on a Sunday. I remember it was raining and I was staying in the French Quarter area - good thing my friend lived in New Orleans and drove me around.Fast forward to a few years later, I finally got to try what Alex Guarnaschelli was raving about. The place is old, small, laidback but a very good representation of New Orleans: no need for anything fancy, just proudly telling its story and culture. A few tables and chairs and it's ok to share your table with a stranger or two. It gets busy and crowded here. If that's too much for you, you can always take your food to-go but eat it quickly. The ordering process is pretty simple. You look at the menu if you didn't look it up ahead of time, go to the counter to place your order and pay, and wait about 20 minutes for your food. The service was friendly. My original idea was to try their shrimp po boy, oyster po boy, and a roast beef po boy. But that's a lot of food for one person. Time to narrow my choice. I'm not a huge fan of oysters so, there goes the oyster po boy. I hear a lot of good things about the shrimp po boy but I was craving beef since I've been eating seafood in NOLA. But towards the bottom of the menu, it says "Surf n Turf" - roast beef po boy with shrimp! No need to choose. I can have both! Next dilemma was whether or not to get fries. Fried potatoes is always a good idea but what if it's too much food?It did end up being too much food. So, my trick was take off the buns on one half of the sandwich and stack everything into one massive sandwich. It was messy, hard to eat and required a lot of napkins but I had space for my fries! The Surf n Turf Po Boy was a very good call. The beef was juicy and tender, the shrimp was lightly battered and crunchy with great flavors.Their sandwiches come in 2 sizes: small and large. They have soda, alcohol, etc to wash it all down. You'll leave full and completely satisfied for under $25."

"Great pizza bar service from super friendly staff. Really nice slice! Next time I'm ordering the pesto drizzled pie!"
"Really wish we had more time to have a full meal here. This place is modest on the outside with a nice set up. I tried the chopped salad earlier, which was very good. Take a break from the heat and come chill!"
"Met some friends here on a hot summer Sunday and it was a cool vibe. Luckily it was not too crowded. I've been on other days where it was a much larger crowd and almost shoulder to shoulder and that's no fun! My bartender was Abe and his service and bartending skills are top notch!"
"Wonderful food, service, and BBQ sauces! The potato brought me back to my childhood. We came in from out of town, but this is work an hour drive for lunch!"

Joey K's is sort of the neighborhood restaurant for those of us who live in the Garden District. It's homey, has down home New Orleans food and is a great place to go for a casual lunch. The blackberry cobbler is to die for. The appetizers are big enough to eat as an entree. Great onion rings, seafood, pasta, too. They don't take reservations but have accommodated my large extended family if we call ahead and go early. I recommend it to anyone coming to shop Magazine Street.

Heavens, what can be said about this place. It is an experience beyond all lunch places imaginableIt was so packed and chaotic that one could hardly move. Everyone kept an even cheerful tone, both employees and patrons. The crush of arriving people, however, had a line out the door. They eventually stopped taking orders to catch up with the meal preparation. You now enter on a side door, order at the bar and pick up when they call you name in the prep area.I ordered a large po' boy half with shrimp and half with oysters. Accompanying it I got a bag of chips and a root beer.It took a considerable time to get it due to the backup of orders, but they did their very best to move it along. The po' boy was excellent, the shrimp and oysters absolutely delicious with the dressing in exceptional bread. The meal itself was such a treat, and although the chaos annoying, it was worth it.I happen to like these po' boys over the ones at Parkway, but it's a matter of personal taste, similar to Coke or Pepsi. This is a hole in the wall place but well worth a visit, or two, or more.

Fun local tap room off the Garden District. Local blonde was ok, no IPAs on tap when I was there though. Modest wine and spirits available is nice.

After the parade this weekend we decided to walk over to Domenica. I have been to the downtown location multiple times, but this was my first time eating at the uptown location. The pizza is amazing a hit, so I went with the pepperoni pizza. However, I saw they had king cakes knots on their dessert menu. Mardi Gras season so I had to try them, and I'm so happy I did! They came out hot, they were the perfect ratio of crispy ends and soft center! . The icing on time gave it the that sweetness. Had leftovers and ate them with coffee this morning. Go for the great pizza, and make sure to get the dessert!

What initially was supposed to be a quick restroom break during the parade ending up being a place to hang out and decompress with our group of girls. It was perfect for us as there were comfortable seats for us to relax all while taking in the NOLA skyline. This rooftop bar is located inside the Ponchitarian hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for good views and drinks.

First and foremost, change your music, hard rock, grunge, and rap are not appropriate. The burger was pretty good and so was Ruben. They're serving way too many fries or chips. It looks like they're just trying to cover the plate with them. The real problem is, they were both cold. The creme brulet was excellent

"We were in Abbeville pre-festival and someone recommended Shuck's for dinner. It was a great recommendation. It was crowded so we put our name on the list and went to the bar. Our drinks had just arrived when our table became ready. My wife ordered the Oysters Rockafeller and I ordered a cup of the crab and corn soup, the red beans, rice, and fried catfish (which also came with a small potato salad and a house salad). Whoowe was that a lot of delicious food...some of the best I have ever had...and too much for the bread pudding I had planned for dessert. Excellent service, great food, and very reasonable prices. Had planned to come back the next day for the rum sauced bread pudding but they are closed on Sundays. Oh well, maybe next time."
"First time trying Spoke and Barrel, wonderful atmosphere. Clean comfy seating. Friendly staff. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something different. Pet friendly patio."
"Came back here for my 2nd time (after the 1st many years ago) for a K9 Rouge Rescue event and was impressed with everything! The staff was so helpful for us setting up space for the pups, the food was delicious, and the setting is just precious (as it was the first time I went). My favorite find was probably the fruit-infused lemonades! I couldn't get enough!! I hope next time I come they offer alligator corndogs again as I was really hoping to try that out. All good though as they have so many options, and no doubt they're all delicious!"
"Just discovered Mr Tequila while exploring Freret Street and I was impressed! We wondered in after 6pm on a weekday and quickly found a seat at the bar as happy hour was kicking off. As we ordered other locals also arrived seeking their favorite tables. On this visit, we kept it simple and ordered drinks and several appetizers to share. We enjoyed Queso, Tamales and LOADED Chicken Fajitas Nachos that defied expectations in every way. Serious we loved these Fajita Nachos so much we plan to visit again just for another taste.Hopefully next time we visit Mr. Tequila we will try more of the menu, but from what we had a taste of we have fallen in love with this place and recommend for couples seeking a date night and small group get togethers."
"I know I just may have not found the perfect spot in Cali for Mexican food but I'm Slidell I hit the jackpot. Pedro's was amazing. From the customer service to the entertainment. We sat outside like the three amigos and enjoyed great margaritas, conversation and great food. The waitress was polite and took very good care of us. The food topped all other Mexican I've had this year and when I finally get back home I will be visiting here again. I had the nachos and it was huge serving enough for two easily. The flavor was a dance party in my mouth."
"The food is amazing! This place is new and I was so excited to finally find authentic Mexican food in Baton Rouge. They have typical Mexican options, as well as a variety of unique dishes to choose from. I really loved the chorizo queso and the birria tacos. I will definitely be back to try more things!"
"On the whole this is a 4 1/2 star restaurant but bring that they are in a small town I'm bumping it up to a five. It's cute. It takes me back to yesteryear and I love the bayou accents. The employees were all friendly and nice. I was dressed more big city than country and everyone treated me well (that doesn't always happen in small towns). I got two appetizers as my lunch and that was plenty. First, I ordered the shrimp boulettes. This reminded me of deep-fried a shrimp shumai but even better. Oh my goodness it was good. When I first saw my lunch I thought they I'd want ranch and nope, I didn't need any sauce. Why mess up perfection?I also got the alligator jalapeño bites. They were good without being too spicy but the inside was too mushy for me. For the most part they had the flavor right it was Just a texture thing. They were just the right amount of spicy and flavor though."
"We had a party of 17 people and used the party room. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Can't beat the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. We will be back very soon. Highly recommend!"
