"My girlfriend and I stopped in here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor of all the food. I got the combo plate with brisket and pork and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend this place."
"See I really wanted to take a photo but the way my hangry was set up, it didn't make it. There were so many fast food places I was gonna stop at first but the drive thru lines were to the road. As I was waiting to pick up my daughter from SLU, I passed this gem and realized when I took one look at the menu that it was an installment of my favorite BBQ joint in Independence. I literally thanked God for the happenstance. As always they did not disappoint. The BBQ brisket dinner was EVERYTHING. One of my girls got the Brisket baked potato and it was so good my other daughter went in to get another. We LOVE this place. Hands down some of the best barbecue this side of the Mason Dixon!"

"Food was delicious. I found the brisket to be a little bland but everything else was great. Smothered cabbage was YUMMY, it was my favorite side. Walking distance from our condo, we will definitely be back!"
"Wow! It's been 10 years since I last reviewed this spot. And it is still a solid choice for a casual but fine dining experience. They've changed the menu a bit to have small, mid and large plates. I love love love the grilled Caesar salad so will almost always get that. And I got their scallops again and they were yummy. Unfortunately they were out of my dining companions first 2 choices on the Saturday night we were there. So she came up with a 3rd option. My old fashioned was great and then I had a lovely glass of bubbles to cut the richness of my super chocolate dessert.Service was great as always and now you have choices between dining inside or out on the patio which has greatly increased seating and you can make a reservation online. Definitely still a great spot for a lovely dinner."
"First time trying the ayce bbq, most of the meat was pretty tasty but the side dishes are pretty bad and not too fresh. Salad was terrible. Also they are pretty stingy about the meats that you can only order twice like the galbi, they only gave out 2 small strips at a time when there's 5 of us eating. They also didn't even have ribeye steak when we paid extra for that part of the deal. I still enjoyed my meal overall just hope they can improve the side dishes. There's also a 20% tip automatically added when there's 5 or more party even though the menu is posted for 18% and they also automatically charge a service fee on top but I don't know why cause you have to go get your own sides and rice"
"Stopped by on a quiet mid Friday afternoon and had a half sloppy roast beef poboy which came with chips. Flavor was great (and as sloppy as promised!). Staff was attentive when I was ordering and left me to enjoy my sandwich which was equally welcome. Will definitely be making a return to check out the rest of the menu."
"Everything and everyone was great. The bbq buffet was great, the brisket was moist and juicy. It was a bbq buffets dream come true, and the price was very affordable"
"All you can eat Korean barbecue. Everything is delicious! Service was great! It was about $25 a person on the weekend. One of my favorite spots in Metairie."
"The brisket has always been excellent. Perfect smoke rings perfect flavoring always fresh. Never had anything that tasted reheated .I've also have pulled pork and the barbecued ribs once again. They've also been very good. Very juicy , perfect smoke rings and very fresh."
"Bbq chicken special can't be beat. Ribs were a lil dry but the sauce was great. Macaroni was different but good--tasted a lil like nacho cheese and had an interesting spice. Will be back. Worth the trip."
"If you love bbq, you have to try Honest Abs. It's a great mom and pop, locally own and greatly cared for. Its clean and friendly. The brisket is soo tender, ribs well seasoned, sides were great. The portions are great for family/friends share and you wont leave hungry. I can't wait to come back and try more on the menu."
"Well, My wife and I were searching for a change from the usual suspects of Bogalusa when she suggested we try Na' Bogues. She had recently remembered they opened and we are always looking to try the new spots. We decided to just do takeout this evening as neither of us felt much like going out. After searching the menu we both decided on the Ebony Wings with the sweet bourbon sauce. She choose to do a side salad,I choose the bowl of seafood gumbo. We ordered, the Lady on phone was very welcoming and friendly and kindly took the order informed us it'd be 20mins,stated that if we drove up to front she'd gladly bring it out to us. I chose to go in when I got there to survey the new establishment and kind check the vibe, and Wow the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Compared to the normal establishments in Bogalusa this is definitely top tier with the decor and seating. When we arrived back at the house and opened the boxes we were definitely surprised by the care took in the presentation of a to-go order. The wings tasted as good as they looked loved the sweet and spice! The Gumbo was good also better then average for sure also served with a slice of grilled bread which I enjoyed alot. My wife's side salad was awesome she said as most place don't put that many veggies in just a plain side salad, she was pleasantly surprised. So all this being said was definitely a good first experience for us. Look forward to going to dine in next time and trying more items on the menu. Great job"

The slowest place I have ever been to . I've been to many of these restaurants through out the country and this one is by far the worse . The people behind the counter cutting the meat can't get any slower I've been in there many time and there has been many diffrent people behind the counter all have been slow. The sides lord I don't know what they do diffrent but they are horrible Cole slaw trash fried okra trash Mac and cheese trash . But every where else I have been the food side everything was great . I'm sure this place is running to the best of the pros le ability

I've ordered a few things from this location, and every time I do I'm satisfied. My favorite thing has to be the brisket burger, it's always cooked to perfection and I can never finish it in one setting. I look forward to trying more items.

I'm not in love with the food. We ordered out so I can't speak to service or ambiance. The way this pls s has been promoted I thought my mind would be blown with the bbq. Honestly I don't remember what we ordered or how it tasted (we ate here a week ago). That's not a great sign lol. Not sure I would go back.

You know you are going to have a meal worth writing about the moment you take your first bite. That is exactly how I feel about my dining experience at Boucherie. First, I was so happy to have been able to snag a table on a Saturday night pre-mother's day. The restaurant is in what might have been a home in the past. Very unassuming but once you're there, you will immediately know what the fuss is all about. I wanted a place a little farther from the busy scene so I chose Boucherie for that reason. We arrived, informed the host of our reservations and we were seated immediately on a corner table. The place was fairly quiet, had a full bar, and attentive wait staff. Our dining experience began with some smoked tuna ragoons with Louisiana strawberry dipping sauce. The smoked tuna was a little bit on the salty side but otherwise, the flavors between the sauce and the ragoons worked. For my main dish, I ordered the scallops which were divine! Very flavorful, prepared perfectly and the sauce was magnificent. I could have probably polished off another serving of it (on a different night, of course!). My meal was lovely and exquisite. My dining companion enjoyed some cocktails while I sipped on some wines for the evening. Overall, I had a wonderful and unforgettable dining experience.

Been there a couple times and the service is great. My go to is the 4B burger and it's awesome. The staff in friendly and welcoming and patient. My only complaint is the one time I got the brisket and it was cold and lacked smoked flavor. Also I ordered green beans on a takeout order and the portion is small considering it's $4 for a side.

"So myself and wife were in this side of Metairie and had just dropped off our daughter and we found ourselves being hungry and my wife says to me "Baby you want BBQ? And I replied HECK YEA I DO lol". We both had seen Moe's a while back but, hadn't given it a chance until we went to Destin, Fl. That location was pretty good and we both wanted to see if this one was better and let me just say "Moe's BBQ in Metairie knocked it out the park". We came inside and was greeted instantly by the young lady at the register and we put in our order. My wife wanted brisket and unfortunately they were out but, they had Brisket sandwiches with 2 sides and a drink available and she got that. I came up to order and I was in the mood for some good wings and I ordered the Smoked Wings platter with 2 sides and a drink. Our sides were the Potato salad and Bakes beans and the Cabbage. Let me start off by saying that all the sides were DELICIOUS and both the Brisket sandwich and Smoked wings were both absolutely tasty and both great choices. I do recommend this place to anyone living in Metairie or passing by and we also got to meet the Chef and he was so humble and down to earth and told us about the Smoked Wings process and was very appreciative of our positive feedback. The Corn bread was delicious also btw :) Thank you again Moe's Original BBQ and y'all we be seeing us again soon and GOD BLESS"
"Service, Atmosphere, Food and Drinks are always excellent. 5 stars plus. We have never eaten the same things and the food is always 5 stars. Highly recommend."
"Best Po'boy I've ever had! I stumbled across this little gem leaving the parking lot of Walgreens and man, am I happy the food Gods smiled down on me at that time. I wheeled into the parking lot of Buddy's and eagerly opened the door. It's tiny, like 6 tables or so, and welcoming. They have daily specials posted (all looked good) and I decided to feed my shrimp po'boy craving. I LOVE that the cook is right there, behind the counter, working her magic. After a few minutes of smell and sizzle heaven, I was handed a dressed po'boy. First bite, I cried. Happy tears. Biting into crispy bread, then a little mayo, lettuce and tomato and then perfectly cooked shrimp. FLAVOR. Check. TEXTURE. Check. Euphoria. Check."
"I have no idea how I stumbled on this fairly new gem but it's been a great find so far. This is a mobile bbq truck that's only open Tues and Thursdays and so far I've found it in two different locations in Zachary. He is still working on finding the best location for sufficient traffic. So.. I have tried the ribs, brisket and pulled pork... all very moist and tender.. the flavor is decent..if I had one wish it would be for a pre sauced version ..as it stands the meat comes dry with sauce on the side. The jambalaya and baked beans are both delicious...if he adds potato salad, he would get 5 stars from me. The menu is a bit limited right now but I'm satisfied with each visit. Excellent and friendly customer service. Try this place if u get a chance."
"We arrived right at 10am on Sunday. We were just passing through Ponchatoula and looking for a bite to eat. The restaurant was clean and the staff at the counter was polite and helpful. We decided to try the cheeseburger po-boy, sweet potato fries, and 1/2 & 1/2 tea. It was ALL perfectly prepared. I will definitely visit again to try the BBQ HiHo sandwich they are known for."
"Came out here for lunch last Wednesday with several co-workers, per their enthusiastic recommendations to get the rabbit sauce picante (the Wednesday lunch special). It... Was... Amazing! There is no more that can be said. It was perfect. It just was.The place itself is a hole in the wall. And it doesn't look all that impressive. But the rabbit sauce picante is just delicious. I also got a couple bags of cracklin to go (they sell them in sandwich size ziploc bags). Pretty good cracklin - crunchier than most, but good flavor."
"We stopped for lunch & ordered 2 Cochon de last (pork) poboy's with slaw & peach cobbler. The pork was moist, tender & tasty the slaw was a great balance with being a little sweet & definitely get it on the French roll. The peach cobbler was sweet & had plenty of flakey crust.Boy we lucked out they are only open until 3 pm or till they run out on Thursdays and Fridays & today is Thursday. We got there around 1:40 pm & they closed at 2:10 pm. So get there early. They were so friendly & helpful as we stumble through are order."
"Amazing food (brisket, chicken wings, mardigras potato and green beans) and service...staffs were so friendly - will definitely come back."
"Stopped at the dock today after boating and they had a food truck rally. happened to try the burgers and to my surprise they were awesome and had a wicked smoke Ring in the burgers and they were very tasty. would like to try the wings or the ribs, but I will in time"
"If you are one of the lucky few who have been invited to a meal at Crazy Jeff's BBQ bungalow, then count yourself blessed by the Gods of smoked meat. It is more than a meal...it is participation in an evolution of the low and slow...a progression of flavor profiles and techniques. There is an equal amount of technical attention to detail as there is love for BBQ in all of its forms. Most are not worthy to dine at the alter of smoldering wood, sizzling fat and flavor drenched animal parts. Few will know the joy of a grilled Krispy Kream drizzled with vodka after ingesting a good part of the animal kingdom rubbed and mopped in various concoctions. Like the secret door in a mansion, or the train platform of the Harry Potter novels, it is an always moving and ephemeral doorway to flavor bliss. Once experienced, it will haunt you...like a melancholy dream..a wisp of mesquite or a hickory haze."
"Podnuh's Bar-B-Q is a simple, old-fashioned BBQ place that serves good food at a good price. This location has been around for much longer than I have lived in Baton Rouge, and is convenient and easy to like.Podnuh's employs a cafeteria-style serving line, where you order your meat(s) or sandwiches, serve yourself some sides, then pay and select your seating. There is ample room for you and your crew, and the interior decor tells you that your are at a BBQ place. The BBQ is as good as it smells, and there are always good side dishes to choose from. Sandwiches come in regular and large sizes, and there are a variety of lunch specials one can save some money by checking out. There is also a drive through so one can get a meal to go if one wants. I suggest going in and taking time to enjoy some smoked goodness though, but the option is available."
"Take into consideration for a moment that there are, at this moment in time, nothing but 5-star reviews for Gonzo's Smokehouse! That is an exceptional accomplishment, and I agree with every one of the 5 star reviews!! The owner, Jason, has a gift and a passion when it comes maintaining his product. Every item sold at Gonzo's is high quality with even higher quality service. The barbeque offered each week may change a little from different beef items to pork, to turkey or some combination of all 3 and more. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any item on the menu, they are all so well made that you will wish you ordered more. My absolute favorite items are the beef rib, beef cheeks, beef brisket, brisket tacos, and hot sausage smash burgers. Smash burgers or tacos are offered on Thursday's and a full barbeque menu is offered on Friday's. Gonzo's is very active on social media to let their customers know what is available that week and the information provided includes preordering options. If you are considering visiting Gonzo's, don't think twice and definitely just go, you will love every bite!!"
"My husband and I wanted to try this place after seeing a lot of raving reviews on Facebook. We ordered the country fried brisket biscuit and it was amazing. The bottom of the biscuit was pretty burnt, but that didn't stop us from enjoying it (we just removed the bottom half)! I'm not a huge biscuit fanatic but this biscuit was the bomb. We also ordered the boudin burrito, which was also really good! We can't wait to come back and try their lunch menu!"
"Great Brisket and chicken wings. Loved them so much that we went back the following day for their Friday special Ribeye and Potato dinner. They sprinkle the potato with bits of their brisket! If you want the smoked ribeye remember that you must pre-order! You will not be disappointed!"
"Salty Joes always has a nice atmosphere a solid food. This time, we had Noah as our server and he was super attentive. He helped us pick an appetizer and wing flavors. We got the appetizer sampler so we could try a little bit of everything. Husband got some huge plate and I got the build your own bowl with loaded potato, pork belly, and sunny side up egg on top. Overall great service and great food!"
"Wow. Just overall a great experience. Our friends and I are driving the Blues Highway and had a stop in Baton Rouge for the night. I had found this restaurant and the menu looked incredible. Von, the owner, and Miss Kat were so welcoming and gracious that we ended up staying well after we had finished eating to talk. Our group ordered po boys (fried alligator, blackened alligator, catfish and fried shrimp) and swapped out the fries for green beans, dirty rice and a to go order of Mac and cheese. The bread on the po boys was so soft and a perfect vehicle for the ingredients. The favorite was the catfish. Then the dirty rice. Oh my goodness I have never had dirty rice like this. Small pieces of beef brisket (with just the right amount of fat on it) sautéed with bell peppers, rice and seasoning. I've never had dirty rice like this before and I will most definitely be attempting this at home. The green beans were also sautéed with bell peppers and had a really nice flavor. Our friend had the Mac and cheese later in the night and said it was very good too. Dessert was a peach cobbler that my husband and I ate in about a minute. Mmmm is all I can say to sum up the food."
"Was at my buddies camp and found this little local gem on the way back. The crab boils here are locally caught, and absolutely delicious. If you want a lousiana crav boil, this place is for you. Very good buffet as well, fried chicken looked tasty AF. This place epitomizes was southern LA seafood is about. Worth the trip!"
"Great option for Korean bbq. The chicken was marinated perfectly and the pork belly was delicious. They don't have any shrimp or seafood option for the grill but they do offer a seafood pancake that satisfies the pescatarian option. Also a really big fan of their fried chicken wings. It's fairly difficult to mess up a Korean bbq place, but they get all the extra stars for service and chill atmosphere."
"Had the friendliest server ever and the food was once again amazing. Had a really good fish sandwich and fries, and the salads are definitely shareable. The menu is a little different than the last time I came and one of my favs had been removed but still overall great place to enjoy a glass of wine and a good meal."
"Everything I had from here so far is like Really Good.. definitely made with LOVE The Real Deal was no joke.. they live up to this name.."
"Looking for a GREAT lunch or maybe the BEST Fried chicken around ?? Stop here! Sandra's has the BEST LUNCHES! Burgers are awesome , ribs are amazing . Don't past this lil hidden gem! She is right on the corner , has outside sitting, just a mile off the interstate."
"Ordered the 2 pound boiled shrimp dinner with corn and potatoes, also the 2 pound crawfish dinner with corn and potatoes. Spices, and seasoning we spot on. EXCELLENT!!! Will be returning for more."
"Such a little gem situated in the middle of nowhere! You'd almost have to be from this neck of the woods to know it's there. They only operate during the week for lunch and it's a small quaint space with a few tables situated inside. You order at the counter and they'll bring your food out type deal. A coworker told us about it one day so we as an office decided to do takeout soon after. I remember ordering a pulled pork sandwich and fries and the coworkers all ordered a variety of the platters and sandwiches. Our lunch table was mighty quiet that day as we all dug in and thoroughly enjoyed! The portions are plentiful, sauces are all good and homemade, service was super nice (Linda was so sweet!), and the prices weren't outrageous. I only wish we had taken pictures of all the yummy plates! Will definitely return and let everyone I know about Big Jake's."
