This is a must try in New Orleans. While it's not traditional creole or cajun food, this Thai food is some of the best I've had. When we arrived, it was very busy. You can always tell if somewhere is good when there are alot of people dining. You order at the register and take a number and food is delivered to your table. They have both outdoor and indoor seating and a full bar. We ordered the pad see ew with chicken and I let the employee at the register pick our second dish. I let this dish be a suprise to us. He selected cal soy with crispy pork belly. The food came quickly. The price and portion sizes were pretty moderate. Both dishes were phenomenal. I would go back here in a heartbeat and highly reccomend you try this place for yourself.

Let me eat my words. Let me eat them along with leftover drunken noodles because they are so good, I find myself gobbling them down right out of the fridge two days later. I never gobble. I never eat leftovers. Budsi's, what did you do to me?This is why you give places second chances. Under the guidance of NOLA's own local expert, Sa'Rah H, we had a lunch meeting at Budsi's and she has made a believer out of me. Budsi's is vegan-conscious and they have an entire menu for us. In addition to that, they will be able to tell you what can be made vegan if it's not on that menu. All curries are premade with a little shrimp paste, but you know what? I'd gladly give up traditional green, red and even pumpkin curry when there's an entire menu of other delicious options that include the aforementioned drunken noodles as well as a spectacularly bright and silky tom kha soup. I ordered both and took home leftovers.I do feel that experiencing Budsi's for a late lunch made a big difference, as I wasn't ordering from the bar, which will still be a barrier for me if I'm dining here at night (possibly not a bad thing for my liver or my wallet). I had the sweetest hibiscus iced tea imaginable and normally I hate sweet tea, but this complimented my food very well. Also props to the awesome staff. The woman taking my order was very much in the know about dietary restrictions. Food is brought out quickly, and they have an array of take-out containers at the counter so you can take home those precious leftovers.

I thought I been completed a review for Budsi's...hmmmm...well let me do it now!!!!! I absolutely LOVE this place! I was introduced to Budsi's by my best friend Jessi. I came here and fell in love. The ambiance is super chill and casual. There's two ways to dine...order and drink at the bar or order at the food counter & seat yourself. It's an open kitchen so you can see and smell the magic cooking. Bartenders are on point. I always sit at the bar. I always get the Spicy Buds-Rita. It's there spin on a spicy margarita and it is tasty!!!! The pad Thai is phenomenal. The tom yum soup is amazing and flavorful. I've not had a bad dish yet. Come here and stay for the betterment of your tastebuds. Love love love! Checks all of the boxes!!!!

I really like their food, the spot is cute. It's in a neighborhood and looks like a converted house. They have lots of options on the menu. They do get busy and it can take a little while when they are, but that's to be expected. I stop here on the way home sometimes and get take out.

Budsi's is my go to for high quality Thai food in a quick casual setting. I honestly could eat here every day of the week. This time around I had my fave, the Khao Soi with shrimp. It was amazing as usual. My colleague ordered the drunken noodles and Tom Kha soup with tofu. The serving sizes are large and there are usually leftovers. Gotta love it!

I am so happy that I was finally able to eat here! The food exceeded my expectations; everything that we ordered was delicious (and spicy). The portions were big enough for my friends and I to share as we ate "family style". The service was very fast on a Saturday during a festival and the ambiance is very casual. It is located in a neighborhood near downtown and there's only street parking. Grilled Pork Shoulder- pork was cooked perfectly. Tender, sweet and savory. Khao Soi- warm, filling, coconut-y, savory. Comes with both fried and soft noodles. The broth is thick and rich. Pad Thai- sweet, perfect amount of savory. Noodles had the right amount of bite. Papaya salad was prepared with added spice and it was delicious and tangy.

Yum Yum Yum! We love Budsi's. I haven't had anything bad here ever. I love their pad thai, I also will always order their pad see ew with the crispy pork-- SO TASTY. Their veggie spring rolls are crunchy and the sauce is very good as well. My partner also really likes their steak salad (cold dish) and very flavorful! They don't take reservations, but walk on in and order at the counter for dine in or take out. They also offer a full bar. It's a very casual dining experience with very good food. Been here several times and will continue to frequent.

The Waterfall Duck was a special when I came in, so I'm not sure if it's still available (there's also a Waterfall Pork on the main menu). The duck was tender and seasoned more so after cooking. It was a little salty. We also had the grilled pork shoulder, pork dumplings, and the fish cakes which were all really good! I had the pad thai as well and it was piping hot with the perfect spice level. I'd definitely return.

I met some friends for dinner here Sunday afternoon, and the food was pretty good.I had the chicken sate, coconut soup and spring rolls. My husband had the drunken noodle. All were good, and I loved and appreciated that I was able to request the level of spice. I love Thai flavors, but my tummy can't handle the heat. My husband ordered drinks for us at the bar and the service was a little slow, even though he was the only customer at the bar at the time. The bartender was chatting with a friend and I think she didn't realize he was there.
