Brooke's Sno World

Every time we travel through a city or town outside of New Orleans, we always use Yelp to check out the local sno-ball scene. On 06-24-2018, we were in Thibodaux, LA and had just finished visiting the Bayou Country Children's Museum. We yelped local sno-ball stands in the area and were actually directed to another stand. However, while driving to our destination, we came across Brooke's Sno World and found out that it was not on Yelp. We busted a quick u-turn and decided to try it out, as the facility looked very new. We noticed on Yelp that there was a Brooke's Sno World in Houma, LA, and the owners (Errol & Tammy Malbrough) confirmed that this was a new location. The name was a little deceptive, as not only do they serve sno-balls and ice cream (to include sundaes, shakes, malts, blasts & dole whip, they also serve burgers, po-boys, sandwiches, nachos and hot dogs. However, we were here for a sno-balls and ice cream. The building was obviously new or newly renovated and the inside was impeccably clean; however, it's all about the product.My wife and son opted for ice cream. It should be noted that Brooke's proudly serves Schwan's premium ice cream. To be honest, I had never heard of this brand before, but after tasting my wife's hot fudge sundae and my son's vanilla cone, I can attest that this ice cream is deserving of the premium name. It is a pleasantly rich ice cream that almost has the a gelato like texture that I truly love.But I was here for a sno-ball, and I ALWAYS get a nectar or nectar cream. By always getting the same (my favorite) flavor, it's easy for me to compare to other offerings in the area. Kudos for Brooke's putting a LOT of syrup, as there's nothing worse that having a dry snow-ball once you reach the bottom of the cup. However, there was enough syrup for my son to take several sips and there was still lots of syrup once I reached the bottom. I cannot say that this nectar cream was my all-time favorite; however, I pretty much gave up sugar in January 2017, and occasional treats like this are overly sweet to me. So while I thought this nectar cream tasted a little artificial, it very well may have been my taste buds being shocked with a rare sugary treat.Regardless, although not my all-time favorite sno-ball, Brooke's has a super friendly staff, the owners were on-site and very open to questions and comments, the business was impeccably clean, there's something for everyone and they use tons of syrup. That my friends, makes me a fan!

Snowballs are always so juicy & not dry. Ice is perfect. Staff is always friendly. By far the best Brooke's compared to both East & west side of Houma hands down.

They must not have a vent in the one on St. Mary or Malt Burger. Every time we get snowballs or ice cream it tastes like fried food. We thought it was just at the Malt Burger one but the one on St. Mary St. has the same problem.

Every single time I come here, they are ALWAYS over 10 minutes late with every single order. None of them know what they're doing.

Went to Brooke's in Thib. Ordered a kids meal chicken nuggets it was the worse so soaked in grease nuggets looks like they was sleeping in grease all day,Burnet could not eat them lemonade was so sweet could of put a horse in sugar coma wasted my money. Poor quality food.

Customer service is trash the lady's at the window and the owner are rude they missed up on my order and tried to give me watered down ice and a cup full tops at the bottom and thought it was OK had me pull to the front to wait 10-15 minutes. When owner came out told me check my receipt next time aggressively .

Brookes in Thibodaux is nothing like BROOKES SNO WORD IN. HOUMA. The person who's there every time I go is Errol. I'm not sure if he's owner or manager but he is always yelling at an employee. Idk why he's always angry.The line is ALWAYS LONG, the sundaes are "thrown" together. I'll stick to Houma!My recent cheesecake bites purchase delivered undercooked oily cheesecake bites. So disappointedStick to the Houma location

I have never waited so long for a snowball in my life. This place takes forever. You might as well go get a icee at the gas station.

Best salads ever.The grilled chicken salad is my favorite and the food is soo yummy. If you looking for something to eat for supper, they have the best food you can get for supper tonight. Also the brownie fudge sundae was delicious and the lemonade was yummy too.

The young lady at the window blatantly told me, a paying customer, to hurry up with my order as soon as I pulled to the window. I waited in line for over 10 minutes and I do not appreciate the way I was treated!
