A restaurant in the middle of nowhere gave us hope we'd find good eats. Ugh, no, not really.Unfortunate. We loved Grace, our young waitress. She was a real gem. If she lived an hour east & worked in the big NOLA restaurants, she'd easily double or even triple her pay. She was that good. But the food was overall very average. Peel-n-eat steamed shrimp appetizer prepared with zero seasoning. They were terrible. Mealy & flavorless. As though the chef had frozen, thawed, and then re-frozen them multiple times. They were inedible. They should've been thrown out.The catfish fingers were pretty good. The red beans were barely ok in the heart of the best-prepared red beans on earth. The potato salad was just ok.Freshly-prepared thin-sliced onion rings were perfect. By far the best thing we ate.Reflecting on the remote location, we concluded the chef didn't have to expend much effort due to having zero competition. It's a shame he's wasting such a lovely and friendly and efficient waitress like Grace.

Had to hit up Walmart in Boutte and saw that Boot T's was open. Last time I had come through here (my buddy has a place nearby but I am only there every so often), this was not a business so I figured why not check them out? There was a menu item that caught my eye immediately, the surf n turf po boy. This had roast beef with the gravy like they serve up debris in most Nola area spots, and then fried shrimp. I got mine dressed up as I always do. While I loved the beef and I loved the shrimp, I'm not sure I loved them together. Just felt like too much going on at once. I do believe though that had I gotten either a fried shrimp po boy or a roast beef po boy that I'd have absolutely loved either of those. Tried a sip of my friend Val's frozen beverage which was also delicious. The server/bartender we had was very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant itself was cozy and (albeit a bit plain) a nice space. I'd like to see what it's like when they're jamming in there, but we went on a mid week afternoon so it was only a few tables. Would absolutely go back - it definitely Didn't Suck!

Yeeeesahh! When we are back in New Orleans, all we want to do is eat seafood and see family. If we can do both at the same time well, that's the winner and Boot T's is the place for doing just that. We all ate until our hearts were content, visited with family, saw a lot of friends, made a couple new ones and even got to try some special treats we weren't expecting! Boot T's feels like home, minus having to clean the kitchen. Mahalo Boot T's!!

My husband and I took a nice drive to Boutte, LA to pick up an item we found on market place. Always up for new places to try the gentlemen we met was more than happy to tell us about this place. If you are looking for courteous, friendly and knowledgeable servers, a great array of food options and all around great friendly atmosphere then this is a great spot to try. Listen to the servers they know exactly what you should order. This is a small hometown family owned business and they are all adorable and extremely welcoming. The food alone should be a must to come check out. But the family atmosphere and welcoming friendly attitudes are so refreshing. We ordered toasted almond daiquiri, orange daiquiri, alligator bites, the boot t's surf and turf and boiled snow crab, potatoes and corn. Everything was amazing. But our favorites were the toasted almond daiquiri and hands down a must order boot t's surf and turf poboy. They have so much more on their menu. We will be back to try more. They were trying out a charbroiled garlic butter crab and were generous to let everyone try one for just an honest review. It was delicious and I hope it's on the menu by the time you stop by. Please go see boot T's in Boutte, LA it is so worth it!!!! I ate my food so fast I forgot to take pictures.

We have been traveling and came here on a recommendation. Since we are from nashville seafood is high on our list. This place did not disappoint. Everything is actually made on premise. The onion rings were delish, the crayfish boil was excellent fresh and flavorful. The shrimp dinner with onion rings was so good we ordered a second plate to share. Most of all the owners are warm and friendly and the service was good. Oh and prices were very resonable.
