Blake's Deli

I've been going to Blake's for years! I didn't know it had a name I only knew it as the gas station. Employees are very friendly and the service is always top notch. Poboys are always overstuffed and tasteful. Drove all the way from Houma to come here! Would highly recommend to friends and family!

this is the best place to get wonderful fried fish and shrimp . I have gotten their food ,any times and each time I rate it a 5. Last night I tried off the hook I rate that one in food a one. Shrimp wrap 4 shrimp 2 on each part of the wrap with tons of lettuce and so much wrap . $$ gone down the drain and the birds got all the wasted doe. Blake keep up the good work . Thank you

You do not get to Thibodaux, Louisiana by accident. You have to WANT to actually get there. And even then it may not necessarily be easy unless you pay attention to where the hell you are going. Especially if there is a bridge out somewheres and you gotta reroute the way you have to go.For the uninitiated Louisiana is a state. But I would also say it is a different country too. But that ain't a bad thing at all. Unless you end up on the wrong side of somebody you happen to piss off severely. This is not the case with your ole Yelp buddy Madman. But every now and again you stumble upon an unexpected gem that is such a great find that it doesn't even look like a gem at all. It appears at first as a mirage. So..Louisiana is a state but also a different country. And within the country of Louisiana exists another country called Thibodaux. Stay with me here! Now inside of Thibodaux (inside of Louisiana) there is another country called the Jungle Casino which shares a border with another country called The Congo Lounge. These two countries share a DMZ known as Blakes Deli. You just can't make this shit up! In case you ever wondered where the hell that actually was..NOW you know!) Technically it is located also in the Adventure Truck Plaza which I believe also has the same status as its own country like the Vatican or Malta. It is here in this magical land that I enjoyed one of the BEST damn oyster po boy sammiches I have ever had in my life. Right there in the fillin' station. Yes, sir! And they got shrimp, catfish, and roast beef poboy sammiches too. And great fried chicken and beer too. I realize I make this shit look easy sometimes. Doing these reviews. I hope you people who read this shit appreciate the fact that I often risk my own life to get this type of information to you. Andrew Zimmern is a joke. He should roll with me sometime. It would be fun to hear him whine like a girly man as he feared for his life. Adventurer my ass! You have not had an adventure until you have located, eaten, and made it out of the Adventure Truck Plaza. So if you haven't the just shut the hell up. No. Seriously. Shut the hell up. Especially in this place. Nobody gives a damn who you are so if you think you are somebody OR you actually are somebody..shut your mouth. Unless you are eating. Really great poboys...and good plate lunches...best in the area. Hard working kitchen staff does its best to please.

Food is good, gotta say that. Call to make an order. Blake himself answered and was very rude and arrogant. Did ask my name when ordering and hang up on me before I was finished. I will not be going back.

Food is always cooked fresh . And the price is great very affordable. The owners take pride in their work and employees.

Love Blake's Deli. They have great poboys. Menu includes many items to choose from. Call ahead service is good also. They have daily specials everyday.

This place is a truck stop also. Manager of the truck stop called the cops because I had my two trucks parked in the parking lot. He wanted to trucks off of the property (I guess because a friend wanted to park their truck there was no more space) or they were going to get towed. I guess this is a truck stop for some and not for all. He was 'gracious' enough to give us a few days to move them off of the property. We moved them the day the cops were called. I will never spend my money at this establishment again.
