Bistro Italia

Food was amazing, and the portions were huge. I have a lot of dietary restrictions, so I ended up with a salad, which is usually disappointing. But the chicken was so flavorful and cooked so well, that I was extremely happy with my order. The service was amazing. Ambiance was a little meh, but the food made up for it.

Bistro Sadness. Ordered out. Not sure if it's better there. But this was pretty bad.The good: fried croutons.The bad: everything else. Store bought pizza dough and cooked with the basil on it, so the entire pie has an unpleasant taste. The ravioli are frozen, the marinara is a bit bland, the meatballs are full of hard chunks you have to pick out of your mouth.This place gets great reviews but I would give it a 2/5.And the portions are shockingly small. For $50 I feel like I got $25 worth of food. 2 small meatballs and half a dozen ravioli for over $20?Would not recommend.

I love Italiana food, I dare say it's my favorite cuisine. But, I feel like the Italian scene in BR has diminished...up until trying this spot! It's super small and definitely seems to be a neighborhood staple, so when you walk in you feel only slightly out of place. THIS FEELING GOES AWAY quickly though with nice waiters throughout the spot. We had garlic bites for apps; then lasagna and the shrimp florentine ravioli. You get so much food for the price I had double leftovers. I'll definitely be coming back!!

Highly recommend! I've passed this restaurant so many times! I wished we would have tried it sooner! The food is great! The prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was very good! We went during the week for supper. It was bigger inside than I expected. Everything was delicious! They seem to do a lot of takeout business. We'll definitely be back!

This place is really a Baton Rouge hidden gem, although the outside of the building is not much to be desired, the inside is warm and inviting. The staff is always friendly & efficient when we go eat here. It doesn't take long for the food to come out to the table. The Chicken Parm meal is what I get every time I go there for special occasions. Best Chicken Parm I've had at any Italian restaurant so far. It is honestly a feel-good Italian meal, plus it feeds two people/doubles as a leftover meal! It really is worth it for the price its at. The portions are very generous as well. Also, speaking as an overall garlic girl, the Garlic Knots are visually creative & they're so flavorful! Definitely try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

My favorite hole in the wall Italian place in town. My favorite item is the Guido sandwich. It never fails. All other food items my wife and I have had are always stellar.

The food is always good. The services are always great and the ambience is quite nice unless you get in on a packed night.

Awesome new find! I moved from New Jersey about 3 years ago and have been searching for an Italian restaurant that tasted and felt like home since. We ordered meatballs as an app that my mother would be proud of and for entrees we ordered the eggplant and the primavera, perfection. I was so happy I ordered an extra lasagna to take home for my husband and he also loved it! The service was really great as well. We'll be regulars :)

OMG. Best Pizza in Baton Rouge! The meat head egg rolls are of the charts. The service is solid. The wine list could use a few more things and they need Budweiser but the food is 5 stars!

Great service I ordered the Ravioli and meatballs.I took one bite of the Ravioli and a portion of the meatballs. Horrible metal taste in the sauce. It was fresh as I could tell by the red color and not overcooked.Taste like the stainless steel pot or spoon.The lovely waitress was apologetic and offered to remake it or order something different. No thanks I just took it so not to trash it and gave it to homeless man at 12 Highway
