Birdy’s Behind the Bower

What a wonderful experience! This was our last stop before we flew home and I'm so glad we found it! We got a warm, welcoming greeting when we entered and noted how friendly the entire team was.It's a cozy restaurant in the Garden District. It has a lovely patio for outdoor dining. We stayed in and were very happy.Let's talk food...we started with a Bellini and a Mimosa. I loved the peachy Bellini. My husband was indifferent about the Mimosa but he said the coffee was good.We both ordered the traditional breakfast. He had their homemade tots. They were just hash browns rolled into a ball and fried. He really enjoyed them and I didn't think they were so great. The inside wasn't done enough for me.We were both really happy with the thick sliced toast and the strawberry jam. We were both happy with our eggs and bacon. Be aware you only get two slices of bacon. Since bacon is my guilty pleasure we ordered a side of it. We also ordered a side of avocado. Our eggs were cooked just the way we like them. Dan provided excellent service.For sure we'll be back on our next trip to NOLA!

Very cute spot, and it's easy to make reservations online ahead of time. You can eat indoors or outdoors, which is equipped with warmers during the winter. Staff is super friendly as well. I ordered the apple cider mimosa, which wasn't particularly strong or tasted like apple cider. The entree was good. You can order your eggs prepared however you want it, and I ordered it sunny side up. I think I've found my go-to meal.

This place was such a cute brunch place for occasions and pictures! The drinks are delicious! The reason I rated this place a 3 was because of our service, we were not a fan of our waiter. Another reason is that the menu was limited. If you are a picky eater, this place might not be for you. Overall, such a cute spot but was not enough for me to go back.

Birdy's is such a cute and trendy restaurant! I wish my toast would've had more salmon on it and the pistachio latte tasted a little too artificial. BUT the tater tots make up for those things they are so delicious and gigantic! The servers were very kind.

Birdy's for brunch! This place had great food and good quality ingredients! It's a cute atmosphere for birthdays or events. I had the fried chicken biscuit and it was so good! The gravy added on top of the biscuit was the perfect touch. I also had the peppermint mocha martini. It was ok, not my favorite. My friend had the mistletoe mule though that was great. Only point off was for the service. The hostess was so nice and great, but our waitress was not friendly at all. Overall, I'd come back!

Great vibes, food and service! Loved my Bloody Mary and avocado toast. Hubby enjoyed his meal as well. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

My group of 3 arrived without a reservation on a Monday morning and thankfully there were a couple open tables. When we first entered, we noticed that the interior was really cute and decorated for christmas. We decided to share the apple cobbler waffle and individually ordered the eggs benedict, fried chicken biscuit, and pulled pork hash bowl. Everything looked and tasted delicious! On the menu, the apple cobbler waffle had the option to be served as a bubble waffle upon request. As one member of our group wasn't the biggest fan of bubble waffles, we asked if it could be served as a normal waffle. We were informed that it only comes as a bubble waffle which seemed a bit confusing given the language on the menu. Regardless, we really enjoyed the apple cobbler waffle! They don't split checks by item, but they can take multiple cards. Overall, I would definitely recommend Birdy's if you're in the area!

We arrived to this restaurant around 9am on a Sunday. Our waitress was great and super attentive. We took a quick photo in front of the birdy's sign and the waitress was so nice about it and actually took a really great photo. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit and it was excellent. So tasty and well seasoned. The biscuit part of the sandwich was like mini biscuits split in half, so don't expect to be able to pick your chicken biscuit up to take a bite out of it. The gravy on the chicken biscuit was also excellent.

Mediocre at best. Overpriced fare, not very good. Menu is very small, not many options to choose from. I had high hopes for the tots but they were unsalted, and lack the crisp and crunchiness of a traditional tot. Being oversized doesn't make them any more desirable. Blt lacked a good amount of bacon, I will say the tomato was the best. The most delicious tomato ever and was something they didn't cook, how ironic. Burger lacked oozing melted cheese, pretty dry for a smash burger. Bread was mushy. Tomato was also the best part! I would say skip this place. The outdoor patio is good place to have a coffee and hang but I wouldn't eat here.

Super cute little breakfast place! Great drink options and unique dishes. I would say it's definitely pricey but for the location it can be understandable. The server wasn't super friendly but it was still good service. Probably wouldn't go back but just because my experience was nothing special.
