Big Poppa Burgers Chicken & Waffles

This place has amazing burgers! I ordered the bacon burger. Little did I know the bacon would be deep fried and it made my heart soooo happy! The burger was juicy and full of flavor. Not to forget the amazing fries. The service was not so well. We were the only ones there and we weren't treated like we should've been. As we waited for our drinks we were told our drinks are ready. So we had to get up and get them on our own. It wasn't until we showed our discount from Yelp that we were assisted as we should have been. However, I do recommend visiting if you are in the area. I hear it usually is full of people, music, and good vibes.

Highly disappointed. I heard great things about this place, and was really excited to try. My parents and I decided to try their burgers, fries, and onion rings for dinner. It took an hour to fix this--an hour! The place did not appear to have many waiting customers. So, you would think that everything would be piping hot because of the wait. Nope. The onion rings were especially not warm. They had a nice flavor but I could tell they had been sitting for some time. The burgers were the biggest disappointment. My biggest pet peeve with a restaurant (besides unsanitary practices) is when it is known for a food item that turns out to be completely lackluster. All 3 burgers were dry and flavorless. Dry as in no inkling of juice and flavorless as in no inkling of seasoning. It was really weird. I could honestly see if just one burger came out flawed, but 3?!Fries were great--if you like potato wedges like I do, then try these. The customer service was fine. But, the wait--only to wait for the burgers we received--NAH, FAM!

The burgers and fresh homemade fries are so good and made with so much love. You get to dine in with live music, I'm talking about live blues and R&B. There's happy hour, fried bacon and very friendly workers. The spot is a definite hit and perfect for an evening/night out with friends or a date! The only con is the wait times are TERRIBLE, we stopped in for a quick bite between moving furniture and over an hour later, my little brother still hasn't gotten his food. If they can work on food times, it would be close to perfect!

Used a groupon bc its not that close to my part of the city. Junior Burger was good, though overcooked (i asked for medium). You can order whatever you want on it. Lemonade was tasy. Order by phone or online or at the window--my guess is this is a Covid adjustment. Daughter of the owner is very nice and will run the food to your car. Very interesting bacon fried chicken style?! appetizer...Its good but idk the proper name. With a long drive the fries got soggy. Good comfort food and service.

OK y'all so we going to start from the bottom(the bad)and work our way up(the good). If you know anything about ownership then you know that Master P (A former hip hop artist) is part owner of this establishment. With that being said,most people would expected the appearance of this restaura nt to be alluring but it was nothing of the sort. The paint job was a sight for sore eyes and the floors looked as though they had not been polished since the first day of business. I decided to try their chicken and waffles which were great!....if I was only going to look at them. After that first bite I realized how true the saying",looks can be deceiving" was. The waffles were dry a taste like they came out of the freezer. And the chicken fingers were as bland as a bowl of rocks. They waiter( who was awesome by the way) allowed me to replace my order with another meal from the menu! This time I decided to try a Big Poppa bacon cheese burger. This cheeseburger was by far one of the best cheese burgers I have ever had!!!!!! The beef was seasoned to perfection. And they also gave you regular bacon and deep fried bacon on your burger! The fries were fresh and hot!. The customer service here was superb.

The big poppa burger combo is $15. Wow the meat was fresh and full of black pepper. Thats all you taste is black pepper. Onion rings are great. But it is not worth the money. The food tooks 45 minutes to come out. SORRY BIG POPPAS YOU GET A F FOR FOOD TASTES AND TIME. If you would like a good burger combo go to Buds broiler.

The burgers are descent. The fries are wedges and were not good, they were also barely warm. The baked beans are okay. The lemonade is disgusting and way too sweet. The chocolate milkshake tasted like I was drinking chocolate milk. I didn't even drink half of it because it was that bad. The service needs a lot of work. It took way too long for our food to come out and we had to go ask for silverware. I won't be back.

Very slow to get a burger and chicken sandwich. I finished my lunch before the chicken sandwich came out. Hamburger was. Ok but very dry. We went to eat after lunch hour so we would to have wait long . Hate to see how long wait will be during lunch time. Chicken sandwich also dry with not much seasoning

i would've given this a better rating but i believe they messed up every one's order. i ordered the big poppa cheeseburger cooked medium well with no pickle, tomatoes, fried onions, and mayo dressed. my hamburger looked good, but my fried onions were missing and it had pickles in my burger. maybe the staff needs to pay more attention to orders next time. the wait for the food took a long time too. the hamburger was ok, not dry and it had good flavor.

The Big Poppa Burgers were delish and seasoned, fries were fresh and yummy! The problem I had was it took too long. I ordered my food over the phone and was told a 25-minute wait, and didn't arrive until 35 minutes later. Still had to wait an additional 15 minutes before my food was ready :( The customer service was very good! They really just need to work on getting the food prepared in a timely manner...
