Great little pizza joint. My family and I enjoyed an order of extra cheesy bread and some cold drinks after a river boat cruise. The meat lovers pizza was loaded with gooey cheese a ton of greasy delicious meats. Our server was friendly, prompt, and very informative. We left happy and stuffed. Highly recommend.

Its a for me simply because of the excellent phone service. I ordered takeout from grubhub and one of the items was sold out. Plus, I ordered close to closing time so it's understandable. Thank you ! When the food arrived it was a very fresh PIZZA . Enjoyed

We didn't want to go far from our hotel but didn't want a fancy restaurant either. This place was definitely a hole in the wall but also our best overall experience in New Orleans so far. The pizza was amazing and the service was spot on. I highly recommend.Updated, the waitress/bartender was awesome. The food was sooo good. We wanted to compliment the cook but he couldn't be bothered because he was too busy even though there were only 5-6 people in the whole place. Doesn't change the taste of the food but definitely left a bad taste in our mouth.

This spot was across the street from my hotel and open late so I stopped in to grab a bite to eat. They have bar and a nice selection of food. Everything from wings, to pizza, to sandwiches and even some pasta dishes. I opted for the meatball sandwich which came with fries. The food was hot and the fries were good. The sandwich was rather skimpy on the meatballs. It was like they cut the meatballs in half and spread them out between 2 halves of bread and covered it in melted cheese. I took all of the meatball pieces from one half and put them all into one. That made for a somewhat decent sandwich. It served its purpose- a quick bite to eat. If I were to return I would probably try something else. The bartender was also the waitress so she was quite busy until the place emptied out a bit but she was attentive. Drinks were decent. The food had potential it was just lacking a little bit.

A nice place for lunch in a pinch. Especially when it's that close to your hotel. Heads up that it's more bar than restaurant but the food is still good and the service was friendly from the barmaid/waitress. We ordered a few pizzas, a Calzone, and salads and pasta. The pizzas were made with a thin crust that they called New York style. Let's agree to call them thin and crispy crusts. The toppings were fresh and were well balanced with the right amount of cheese and sauce. The spaghetti was err below average with a too spicy red sauce. The fettuccini Alfredo was creamy and good. The salads and calzone were average as well. Solid bar food.

Came from out of town, and wanted pizza. Google and big pie pizza came up, i looked at pictures and it looked good. When i came in it wasn't super busy but it is lunch time. But i don't get why it wasn't packed! The pizza was some of the best pizza I've had in so long , it's a small place so it feels like home. We got a medium size pizza to split between me and my mom and it was 8 slices. Def would recommend stopping here if you are in the area !

We should have turned around after waiting for 10 minutes for a server. But this place had some good reviews and we wanted to try it. Once the server appeared, she took our drink orders. I ordered a dr. Pepper and 2 others in our party ordered a rum and coke all of the sodas were pure syrup, no carbonation. We ordered, we got a pizza, 2 of us got spaghetti with meatballs and one had a meatball sub. The spaghetti was lukewarm and the meatballs were as well. I didn't expect gourmet, but expected it to be warm and have some flavor. You can do a lot with some salt and pepper. The pizza was decent. Might just consider just doing pizza and the bar and scrap everything else off the menu.

If you're in NOLA and want a snack, lunch, dinner, drinks or all of the above, coming here is a MUST! It is walkable from everywhere, it is clean, safe, the bartenders are amazing (and have great tips on what to do in the city), they have great hours, and treat you like a local. Awesome prices too. We got the salami and ham pizza and they even MAKE THEIR OWN DOUGH! It's amazing. Plus, the brick is 200 years old and you can see the handmade nails in the brick - a little history too. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!

It has been almost another year, and we have now eaten at 104 first-time restaurants in our adopted hometown, and my wife and I cannot understand the negative reviews written by some folks who claim to have eaten at Big Pie. We have totally lost count of the number of times that we have ordered food there; but, what we can certify is that we have not had a bad experience. In fact, we quit looking for the best pizza in New Orleans because nobody could improve upon the taste treat that has become for us *the* definition of pizza!
