Met some friends at big mamas Cajun kitchen and this is our second time eating there. Real Cajun cooking since big mama is from Cajun country in Louisiana. I don't think you'll be disappointed everything is very good and is home cooking. You get very large portions of food and you get your moneys worth .

Pretty good! The crab cake was especially delicious. Hand down one of the best we've ever had. The kids meals are a bit light. They are better for a 4 year old than a 9 year old but they're decent. The crawfish pies were good too. The only disappointment was the gumbo. It was really bland with very little seafood and no discernible onion/bell pepper pieces. We'd try it again though. Wait staff is super nice.

Great big ole kitchen, big mama oversees the cooking and menu daily herself. You can find good ole boys at the back table coming back from a gator hunt. The etoufee was great the tasty, go see big mammaw... in sunny poplarville.... see the traps on the walls! Say HEY to big mammaw

We had 18 in our party today. They didn't know we were coming and everything was excellent! The fish was very good and the staff were outstanding. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Will visit Big Mama's again.

Extremely disappointed, the food was awful. I ordered fried shrimp they were small and over cooked....way over cooked. Another lady ordered gumbo and the only thing in the bowl was roux, water and some rice. I told the waitress the food was terrible and she just walk away, I did see her tell the owner and she never even bothered to come and see what was wrong. We are locals, not one time passerby's, but they did not care.

Pretty good deep sooth food. There is a lot of fried selections, but I got the etoufee, crawdad for sho. Creamy colored and rich, with rice and some toast to sop up the rest of the gravy, get that mono with some sweet southern tea you bet mama set you right.

Amazingly friendly staff, great atmosphere, and unbelievable food. My mother, aunt and I wanted to try some Cajun food while on our trip to the south, and they found most of the food a tad spicy but I had no problems with it and love every single bite. A bit pricey but once the plate arrives you'll see why, they have generous portions that will make anyone's mouth water and eyes go big. I will definitely be returning whenever I drive back through.
