I'm never in Covington often but when I am in town Bears is my go to lunch spot. The shrimp po-boys are sooooo good and fresh!!!

Don't expect a quick, convenient meal but it will be a tasty roast beef po-boy. Unfortunately 90% of the fried shrimp on my other po-boy still had the tails on them.A new location/building would provide ample parking and seating but the current location does not.

Roast beef po boy at bears in Covington is the best!!! So good! Always come back for this one!

Bear's has character as all legendary neighborhood restaurants should. Certainly feels like walking into the 60's and putting out really good poboys, Bear's is unique. We split a fried shrimp poboy and it was loaded with shrimp, perfectly dressed and very delicious. The bread is split & grilled, not my favorite approach it overall it's a solid sandwich.

I came across this place through word of mouth. I was just visiting and one of my family friend recommended this place for Po Boys and it did not disappoint!I recommend getting the Ferdie and Fried Shrimp poboys. The ferdie really blew my mind, there was a lot of meat and the flavor was just on point!I would say this is one of the best local spots in Mandeville for Po Boys!

A co-worker took me here for lunch, and I had low expectations since I'm not really a fan of po' boys. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The establishment is unassuming, but the po' boys are phenomenal. I've been a fan ever since, and now I use this place as the gold standard for rating po' boys.

Went here last weekend and it did not disappoint. We got two of the roast beef's. One was a bun and one was a po-boy. They were toasted which was nice. Now I got a half and I think somebody got a 1 or 2 inches of my half, so it was a little small for me. But would not go back because of that,,,,no I am just going to order a whole because that is what I should have done from the beginning.This a good solid roast beef,,,,,,, beware it is messy.I wished I could give you a photo but it disappeared that quick.

Are you kidding a review of bears there's nothing I could say other than the best Poboy you can ever imagine. Roast beef number one shrimp number two you can even get a combination of the two you can't go wrong no matter what you order it bears, and now they have a second location in Mandeville.

Food is delicious. Shrimp Po Boy dressed is on point. Good service and always busy for lunch. Be patient for good food.
