The food is really good but the last two time I visited the Hammond location, I was very disappointed. On one visit they forgot part of my order & I had to return to the restaurant and when. I arrived I had to wait for them to prepared the rested of my order. (very frustrating because they knew I was coming) Now today on 3:10/2024 I walk in to total darkness. I ask why the lights were off & he said there was enough light from outside. That may work when it is sunny out but it was very cloudy so read

A college hang out for sure. The ribs are very meaty. Brisket is good. Sort of weird because you have to go outside of the resturant to get to the bathroom. The guy who took our order was very personable.

I've ordered a few things from this location, and every time I do I'm satisfied. My favorite thing has to be the brisket burger, it's always cooked to perfection and I can never finish it in one setting. I look forward to trying more items.

See I really wanted to take a photo but the way my hangry was set up, it didn't make it. There were so many fast food places I was gonna stop at first but the drive thru lines were to the road. As I was waiting to pick up my daughter from SLU, I passed this gem and realized when I took one look at the menu that it was an installment of my favorite BBQ joint in Independence. I literally thanked God for the happenstance. As always they did not disappoint. The BBQ brisket dinner was EVERYTHING. One of my girls got the Brisket baked potato and it was so good my other daughter went in to get another. We LOVE this place. Hands down some of the best barbecue this side of the Mason Dixon!

Not very good the ribs were small and dried up. Taste like they been sitting under heat lamp all day. Went to the one in independence A while back was much better than this one. Wasn't enough food for the price. CJ

We dropped in today with the grands, it was really good. They had a bunch of good eats on their menu. First thing I asked was were they using Louisiana shrimp? She replied yes & they are big! I jumped on that & got a shrimp on bun. They were a nice size & they were delicious! I wound up ski the bun and just ate the shrimp:) The grands ate off the children's menu & they got chicken strips & fries. Significant other got a brisket plate and said it too was great. We will be back soon for sure

Disappointed.My daughter and I have eaten here several times. Usually a great experience. I always get the brisket potato. Today when I got the food I noticed the brisket was very white and stringy. I knew before I took a bite this was pork not brisket. It was dry and not fatty like brisket. My daughter got the brisket burger, when I compared her brisket to mine they were clearly different in taste, texture and color. I asked the server was it a mistake, she looked at my plate saying, "yes the meat is pale but the ends are dark that's how you know it's brisket". I then informed her, dark bark is obtained when you smoke meat, regardless if it's beef or pork. So she went to the back to check. She came back and tried to assure me it was brisket, saying he took it from "the center". I gave up on educating at this point, which btw this meat did not come from the point or the flat. I guess since it was on top a potato covered with bacon bits they thought you would not be able to tell. Did nothing to rectify. They should not charge for brisket then give you pork.
