While in New Orleans in celebration of our 21st wedding anniversary, my hubby and I, had a list of NOLA restaurants that we wanted to check out because they each were highly rated for their authentic food. B Sweet Bistro & Bakery was one of those highly rated restaurants and after getting to taste the DELICIOUS-NESS for ourselves (visited on Saturday, 09/28/2024), we are in total agreement w/ this assessment! Here is why I'm giving B Sweet Bistro & Bakery, a well deserved five-star Yelp review: 1.) Food: We ordered the Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo, Seafood Beignets stuffed with Crabmeat, and for dessert, a slice of "Wife Me Bride Cake" to go. Every dish was fresh, hot, full of flavor, and had the best plated presentation! Of course, I had to wash everything down with a refreshing mimosa drink! (okay, it was two drinks ;)2.) Customer Service: Kudos to the talented chef, who is also the owner! She came out to greet us & ask how everything was w/ our food. We of course had no complaints, other than I ate way toooo much food & now my jeans were feelin' just a bit more tighter then when I walked in!! :) She really was super nice & we really appreciated her taking the time to talk w/ us. 3.) Vibes: Eating at B Sweet Bistro & Bakery, really is a WHOLE VIBE! From the R&B music playing overhead that makes you want to dance while you're eating ;), the super cute pink decor, & the huge painted "704 Rampart"wall mural that makes for an awesome photo backdrop (see pic included in this review of my hubby & I striking a pose in front of the mural during our visit) Additional Helpful Tidbits: -- parking: B Sweet Bistro & Bakery is located on N. Rampart St. (across from Louis Armstrong Park) w/ street parking all along the street. We got lucky on the day we visited & found a parking spot right away, located directly across the street. -- indoor seating only To sum it up, you are missing out if you haven't yet visited B Sweet Bistro & Bakery! Till next time! Rebecca visiting from Austin, Texas

I have been trying to come to this place during last couple of visits to New Orleans. I finally made it! This place was recommended by my best friend and she really enjoyed this place and told me I had to try the red fish. I have never had red fish so this was my first attempt and this fish was amazing. The pasta with the fish paired so well, it was absolutely divine. We also had the seafood beignet, which was so freaking flavorful and delicious. It's just really hard to describe the taste of the food, but it was to die for. We met the owner and she was so sweet. We were the first people in for the day so everything was made fresh. There was some nice R&B jams playing while we ate. Someone else had come in right after us and they order everything that we ordered because of how good we said it was and they enjoyed it just as much lol This was an excellent way to end our Super Bowl trip!

Leaving out heading to the airport and had one more stop and I'm so glad we did stop The outside of the restaurant is bustling with some much activity with all the surrounding attractions . Parker's across the Restaurant and walked in and immediately met the owner . She was extremely nice but also handling her business. This is , I loved the way the customer services was rendered by the cashier and I let her know that . But on to the food ... I ordered the red beans and rice , 704 wings , Seafood Beignets stuffed with Crabmeat, Shrimp and that Crawfish cream sauce . My only dislike the wings needed a little season maybe a tad bit more salt and pepper to make that sauce on them wings explode !!! I love the detail in the food and the experience I had . I'm so glad I was able to eat and see it's worth it . Brittney was amazing and at the end of our meal she was happy to talk and even take a picture with us . So I def recommend 10 out 10

A very nice quaint place! Service was excellent! We ordered the gumbo and grilled cheese sandwich and had absolutely no complaints. The gumbo was very flavorful and went well with the grilled cheese. I would definitely come back here again.

Can't come to New Orleans without enjoying the authentic cuisine. We received a welcome greeting from the staff as we walked in and the music that was being played was an amazing vibe. The food did not miss. The taste was exactly what we were looking for.

So I've heard so much about this place, good & bad. So I decided to give it a try. Its a black owned restaurant in downtown. The parking is horrible because you have to find street parking & hopefully it's a spot available. So it's a seat yourself type of place. Once you sit down, you look over the menu then go to the register to place your order..we ordered a Bistro Punch which was beyond sweet & a mimosa..that bistro mimosa was fire !! I ordered chicken & waffles..the waffles were beignet mix on a waffle iron..I'm going to keep it real! Not a huge fan! The chicken was good..them 704 wings sweet & spicy!! Yes lawd! I can get with them everyday!! That spinach dip I can get with that everyday also!! The grits were loose..the fish was fried hard which is a plus for me..would I go back, for the mimosa, wings & spinach dip..they don't have fountain drinks, it's a bottle and they give you a cup of ice..a tea was like $5 for the 20oz bottle..its a different concept with the restaurant but I'm not a fan of it, that's my opinion on the service. The restaurant was clean & the server was nice & the female at the restaurant was nice & patient! Also the owner makes customized cakes! Don't knock the place until you give it a try..

I came in town from Atlanta and this place has been on my list to try. I'm a New Orleans native so I'm very picky when it comes to ordering gumbo from restaurants. The gumbo was absolutely delicious!! This the type of gumbo your grandma use to make back in the day. It was so flavorful. I wish I could have had some to freeze to take during my ride home! I ordered a side of catfish. It was seasoned well and crispy. We also ordered a side of seafood beignets. That was the best seafood beignets I've had in my life. I'll probably dream about those beignets! A good mixture of shrimp and crab meat. I'll definitely be back. The service was also great. The owners seems very personable and kind. She came around to check on us and I appreciate things like that.

When Yelp reviews don't steer you wrong from many states away!!I saw this place on Instagram and the King Cakes are what initially caught my eye. They were colorful and looked delicious. When I looked at the menu, I also saw some dishes that I know I would not be able to get here and wanted to try. I am grateful to have had the time to travel to this spot before having to make it to the airport. Upon arrival, it was decorated for Mardi Gras. Although not a large space, there is a place for eating inside and there are dessert offerings for pick up and to take home. The menu presents so many options that catch your eye and pique your interests. I didn't have enough money to purchase everything. LolThe owner was there and cooked my order. She understood that I was flying and let me know that the food would be able to be packaged for placement in my checked luggage (I had Tupperware and ziploc bags in case of spillage). My order was the Red Fish Rampart. Absolutely delicious!! I have never even heard of Red Fish and I have no idea what it actually looks like, but it looked good fried and tasted good, as well. She provided rebating instructions and they were on point. The seasoning and spice were JUST RIGHT. I know it would have been even better if I had it freshly cooked and seated, there. That means I will be back because there is more I want to try.

Had brunch there and the food was divine! I never order redbeans at a restaurant, considering it's something we eat all the time, but baby I left nothing on that plate! My friend had the seafood fries , she let me taste it and I melted. I appreciate that her food tastes like home and so full of flavor. I also appreciated she gave us a sample of gumbo, which was more than a sample, I've been craving that gumbo since. Which is actually another food item I don't order because if you from here you know.lol . But the service was great she was very personable and I appreciated that. Definitely will be going back again and again!
