Very yummy! We got multiple dishes to share and weren't disappointed by any of them. We got frog legs, rabbit gumbo, alligator bbq nuggets, gator burger, corn nuggets, hush puppies, crab balls, everything was delicious and everyone was super friendly. We got there late and they were super accommodating! Will definitely return!

We came here when our tour ended at the Laura plantation. There's two parts to this place. In the front, there is a small market where you can buy fresh alligator meat, turtle meat (~$20/lb...who knew turtle cost so much) and crawfish tails. It's pretty cool.Second, there's a pretty big restaurant in the back. Our waitress was really friendly. If you like fried food, come here. We got fried alligator as an appetizer. It was good, but tasted like chicken fingers. However, I had to try alligator before I left New Orleans. For my entree, I got a fried soft shell crab sandwich on a bun. It was delicious, and when I got to the middle of the crab, I could actually taste some good crab meat. The garlic bread was simple, but good as it came out piping hot. The potato salad was regular.Tip: check out the pictures in the restaurant. They are pretty cool...you see pictures of all the alligators and turtles they've caught.

I went to B&C after a tour of Laura Plantation. We needed to find a place for lunch. We arrived at the place and by the looks of the outside of the place I was not impressed. I'm glad we decided to go inside. The server was local, polite, and knowledgeable. I live in southern Louisiana so I know what authentic local food should taste like. I was not disappointed. We had a cup of smoked rabbit gumbo as an appetizer then butter beans and shrimp served with fried catfish an cornbread. The food from B&C tasted exactly like my grandma's cooking. I will definitely be back!

We had a lunch here after a tour at the Laura Plantation. The soft shell crab poboy was almost a perfection. The gumbo was one of the best, if not the best, that I ever had with extremely tasty seafood broth. We also had a grilled seafood platter that came with oysters, shrimp and fish. A bit salty which is a common theme here in NOLA but they were fresh. A must visit after the Laura Plantation.

Within the past 6 weeks, this super market expanded to include a restaurant. It's pretty bare bones - down home type place. No frills. But the food is excellent. Creole cuisine only, but fabulous. The portions are huge, and the entrees are savory, and delicious. I got the Shrimp Trio, and especially liked the Shrimp Stew. The owner was extremely friendly - he came out and sat down with us and chatted about his life in New Orleans, opening up the restaurant. Then he just ordered a bunch of bugs (boiled crawfish) and started peeling them and giving it to us for free. Very cool guy. Pretty soon everyone who worked there was gathered around joking and telling stories. This place is awesome - exactly what you want to experience when you are visiting the area - to eat great food and chat with the locals. It's right next to Laura Plantation too, so after you've viewed the museum you can easily stop by for a bite to eat.Don't forget to check out the alligator in the bathroom.

Great down home Louisiana cooking! We got the crawfish stew and shrimp poboy with fried okra. Both were awesome, especially the home made French bread. Our waitress was very welcoming too. Also can purchase different items in the seafood marketplace like frog legs, fish fillets, frozen whole fish, gator meat and so much more. Boiled seafood as well!! Want a Louisiana experience, gotta come here!
