Good seafood gumbo, but barley got any. Lol. Well, was it all on the bottom you ask? Well, i search n search but found very little. Lol. Didn't have time so I got it to go but maybe should have dine in. Cool place. Everything else was pretty good. Got some 5.99 ziplock bag head-on shrimp to go as well as some frozen crawfish gumbo. N 2.99 pork rinds which tasted old. Cool folks here. Would dine in next time for other foods.

I hear a lot of bad things about this place but always remember that one good meal and experience that I had years and years ago. When I found myself in the area again this week, I decided to give it a shot and relive that experience. What a change. Guess they were right. I remember a delicious crawfish étouffée that I had when I went the first time which is no longer on the menu. It's mostly just fried food and hamburgers. I ordered the overstuffed shrimp Poboy that the woman said was the most popular item on the menu. It was overstuffed all right, but the shrimp were hard as rubber and tasted like they had been cooked in week old oil. It was an hour before closing so maybe that was it but that is not an excuse. I'll still think about that delicious crawfish étouffée that I had years and years ago, and try my hardest to forget this terrible meal. The Poboy itself was around $15 and the fries were two dollars extra. To their credit, they were crinkly fries, which are always my favorite and they were delicious. I wish I would've never went back and kept my memories, but I did. Perhaps I'll give it another shot one day. I hear the gumbo is good, which was the special of the day, but it was too hot for that all the day I went. Lots of interesting things inside, it looks like a roadside attraction almost. I can't understand why there's not more restaurants in this area as they are several plantations that people most likely go to visit and would likely decide to have lunch somewhere. Almost anything would blow this one out the water. I still dig the ambience. The alligator dressed in a chef suit, the interesting painting on the bathroom wall, the old country/Cajun feel but aside from that, what happened, B & C Seafood?

The staff was amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. The food was very flavorful. The place makes it feel like you are at home. It is a very genuine place to have a delicious meal while hearing some good music. Do not forget to take a picture with the Chef Crocodile.

What a bright spot after driving through the swamp, admiring the sunning alligators. If you are going to a plantation like Whitney, Oak Lawn, or Laura you need to stop here. Their seafood gumbo was excellent. And I really liked the dressed shrimp poboy.Just be careful when you round the corner going to the restroom--see photo....

Delicious authentic food!!! We had an early dinner here after doing a plantation tour and there was nothing around. We were starving so decided to give this place a try and I'm so glad we did. Very friendly and welcoming folks who worked there. We ordered quite a variety of things and loved every single dish. What we ordered:Gumbo, fried catfish and shrimp combo plate with fries, Gator Bites (real gator meat) , and boiled crawfish. Everything was FRESH!! The crawfish really stood out for me. The seasoning was absolutely delicious. Real fun vibe too, with fun pictures of gators all over. Do not pass this up if you are out visiting plantations.

CONCLUSION: zero. Not worth the money, time, or calories. I really hope that it was an off day but all four meals were subpar, ranging from barely edible to downright awful. .PROS: location is right near the plantations.CONS: food was terrible. Crawfish was watery and bland. Shrimp were mealy and either fishy or bland. Even the hamburger tasted of rancid fishy meat. Service was slow and there was only one other table seated. .NOTES: just not worth it. .SCORES: ratings (out of 5) will be based on equivalent business levels. My family and I had an early tour at the Oak Alley Plantation and decided to get something to eat. Found this place on Yelp and frankly, it was a hole in the wall and didn't expect much at all. Looked like a hole in the wall type of place. We were provided with the limited menu and the one thing my daughter wanted was fried alligator which they didn't have. Felt disappointed but alright, let's just order as we had a long drive back. Can I just say that the food were DELICIOUS and the decently priced!!!Seafood Gumbo - One of the best gumbo I have had since I had been here!!!Catfish PoBoy - fish were seasoned and crispy tucked into the roll with some lettuce, tomato and mayo. (YUM)Finished the meal off with a pecan pie and again.... ON POINT! If you're in the area, I would totally recommend that you check this place out.BTW, there were some pretty impressive pictures of the gators that were captured and the size is the gators were jaw dropping!
