Fast friendly service. The cashier was very patient and made suggestions for a first time visit. I can hardly wait to dive in it smells amazing. This food was delicious we took it home to eat so we could relax and enjoy a movie. I was in Louisiana visiting my baby sister. It was so much food we had leftovers for the very next day. On my next visit to Louisiana we will have to try other items on the menu.

The lady working at a nearby museum recommended this restaurant highly. Plenty of parking. Oh my goodness, the wait staff really hustles to take care of the customers. I got the white beans and rice with fried fish and it was delicious. The bread pudding with rum sauce was delicious. The restaurant has a lot of fishing related decor and rock music was playing. I recommend this for anyone in the area.

A place that never gets it right, advertised burgers as half pound home made Burgers but ended up receiving a mini whopper sized prefab frozen store bought patti. One bite of rubber tire texture caused me to spit it out on the plate and send it back. They were known to have the best cheesecake around but now they sadly also cut cost by serving cheap store bought cheesecake, the nastiest hands down. Service is just down right terrible. Given them multiple chances last few years and made the decision we had enough of this place.

Spending a few days at the Delta and stopped here on a whim while driving back to NOLA. It was a cool little spot, seemingly populated by locals. Then again, Morgan City isn't exactly the kind of place that draws a big tourist crowd. The facility was quaint and simple, very comfortable and not at all fancy. The menu was simple and the food was fresh. My buddy ordered a shrimp and crab stew; I had fried shrimp and fried fish. He raved about the stew... nice roux and fresh ingredients. My platter was fresh from the fryer... piping hot. The shrimp had great texture and simple seasoning. The fish was really light and flaky-- very mild and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was fun to hear them chatting with other patrons who were obviously "regulars." While I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip to go here, i wouldn't hesitate to go again if I happened to be in the vicinity. To that end, my 4-star rating reflects the quality of food and service. It's a great place for locals.

As we got there & ordered drinks it took 3 times asking for lemon for my water. The waitress could not answer any of my questions about ingredients in the food or portions size . Which is ok if new , ummm i don't think she was though. Ya never know . Then i ordered a roast beef po-boy , jar gravy big No , No ! very disappointed . My sweetheart had the shrimp stew , had to send it back rice under cooked first time , once they brought it back out they served the rice in a bowl second time , same issue at the table next to us. At this time served with over cooked rice mixed in . Frozen pre-made frozen fries were good . Go- figure . She did come out to apologize and blamed the girl's in the kitchen . I replied to her , cook on the stove and stick a finger in for measuring. Sorry not sorry, . So , you can't blame the help when you own the restaurant. And a lil effort into cooking brings a customer back . So please take pride in your business and put in the work for the price being charged. And a dehumidifier would really help to take the moisture out of air . Hopefully improving , will have your customers coming back . Very friendly employees, but left hungry & disappointed . Looking forward to improvement.

Looks like a great place. But, don't judge this book by its cover. The food is passable at best. Catfish was chewy and rubbery. Shrimp poboy was pitiful. Most places in the area overstuff their poboys. But, not this one! You're lucky if you get a piece of shrimp with every bite. You can get so much better food at the same price point or less in the area. The roast beef poboy at a table close by looked pretty good, but I doubt I'll find out because I don't plan on wasting my $$ here again. Don't be tricked by their down-home appeal. It doesn't make up for the poor quality they dish.
