We were waiting for a table at Morrow's so came to Artisan for a drink. This is a very small, but clean and cute neighborhood bar. It definitely reminded me of some of the neighborhood bars in Chicago. We didn't try the food but they had some great sounding options. Our bartender, Cheryl, was fabulous and chatted with us for awhile. Multiple tvs around the bar and a bar with many options. Would highly recommend a visit.

Kevin, the bar tender, supplied us with our beverages! Made sure we didn't park in the wrong spot (which to me is elite in New Orleans) It's a dive bar that's a cool spot for a chill hang out.

Just terrible. The one guy who served us was sweet but after he left, the experience went downhill. I was personally scared to eat the food because I didn't think it was sanitary. They gave us dirty spoons. the food wasn't anything special. The bar people bothered my friend for having her laptop out to handle business and we were called names for enjoying our self. They even called the towing company to try to tow our car and other peoples cars. the signs were unclear and vague. I do NOT recommend. There are much better places to go to. This wasn't it.

We needed to kill some time before our reservations & came across this place, we came inside & sat at the table near the bar, the place was empty which was only surprising because we ended up having a good time here. we got some drinks, vodka & seltzer for me, beers, shots ... all decent. we also got an order to the wings they were very good, nice tasting sauce good choice for a bite to eat while drinking. The older gentlemen that was bartending was so nice, he was alone so he was doing it all. Decent looking bar, good vibe we enjoyed our drinks & wings.

A few years back when I'd arrive in NOLA late at night I would always stop at Napoleon's Itch straight from the plane to say "Hi" to my bartender friend. We'd do a lemon drop shot before I headed home. My friend ended up moving to Alabama, but we stayed in touch. When I mentioned I'd be in NOLA for 4th of July he said he'd drive down so we could catch up. Turns out it was his birthday weekend, so I wanted to do something fun. My go to spot, Country Club, hadn't resumed their Drag Brunches yet, so I did a search and found Mama Honey's Drag Brunch. There were a few glitches with obtaining tickets - strictly user error meaning me! So, I called and Mama Honey answered. After explaining my dilemma, she agreed to let me pay in person and immediately sent me a confirmation. When I arrived, she greeted me and was just as nice in person as she was over the phone. She escorted us to our table and we waited for the birthday boy and his hubby to join us.Our hostess was Vanessa Carr Kennedy (Desiree) she told us her drag story, which was very moving and beautiful. It was so nice that she shared it with us and some of her family who were also in attendance celebrating a birthday. It really meant a lot to her that her family was there to see her perform.Artisan Bar & Cafe is a cool restaurant that showcases artwork from local artists. They have a special brunch menu for the drag show with drink specials ($6 margaritas & $25 bottomless mimosas). My friend, his husband, & I ordered the Veggie Biscuits & Gravy and mom ordered the Shrimp & Grits. The food was good (I loved the sautéed veggies) and the bottomless mimosas are the way to go. The place was packed and there were two bartenders. One of the bartenders also served us. She was super sweet, and I'm sorry I didn't get her name because she was on it. Despite being busy she checked on us frequently and our food arrived in a timely manner. The show itself was so much fun - lots of interaction! We enjoyed performances by Paris Dee, Alexa Milano, & Justin Betweener. Desiree dragged my friend up to the performance area several times and he kept running back because he is shy. At one point everyone in the house was singing Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" along with the Queens. I highly recommend Mama Honey's Drag Brunch. Or, stop by here for a drink, grab a bite, and check out the cool artwork.Tip: Parking on the street. Don't park in the Subway lot or your car will get towed.

These are nice people. They do have coffee. They don't have to-go coffee cups. But it's really a bar. With bar food.

We had a reservation for 10 for the drag brunch on Saturday. The actual entertainment and the coordination of the drag show would be 5 stars.. the table was set up and reserved upon arrival which was nice, because I wasn't sure if I needed to make a separate res after buying tickets. I tried to call several times and could never actually reach anyone, and the voicemail made me think that I had the wrong number. It is a small place, and every seat was filled, but they definitely should have had atleast one more server on staff. It took about 45 minutes for anyone to take our food order (& I had to request it because we did not have a server at all until after I went to the bar and asked when we would be greeted/waited on. All drinks had to be ordered from the bar if you actually wanted to have one. I ordered a Bloody Mary and after about 30 minutes, I finally just went to bar and got myself. The food was ok - a very limited menu and about what you would expect for a limited staff place. Drag brunch 5 stars, restaurant 2.5 stars. Overall experience 3 stars.
