First time eating here!! OMG! Hidden Gem! Best cheeseburger I ever ate! So so delicious, Onion rings & homemade cut fries to die for! Large portions! Can't wait to go back. Fast service very nice staff!

Arceneaux's on the River, located at 9438 LA-75, Geismar, LA 70734, exceeded expectations following a period of delayed visitation. I plan to return and sample the complete menu. The food & service were great! Will definitely be back. Hubs got the cheeseburger & I went with the shrimp poboy. Can't wait to go back & try their breakfast!

If you live near Geismar LA or work at a local plant, you must give these folks a try. Open at 4 am for breakfast catering to the plant crowd, Arceneaux's does elevated breakfast sandwiches and plates but the shrimp and grits with eggs is where it's at. Lunch is served until 2 pm with daily specials and a burger of the week. The Hogs for the Cause smashburger comes with provolone, cheddar, two beef and pork blend smash patties, a bourbon bacon jam and dressed to your preference. Not only is it one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had, the owners who have competed in the competition donate 2 dollars from the sale of each burger to the charity which supports the fight against pediatric brain cancer. It's a bit off the beaten path but well worth the drive if you want good food done with love and care from some really nice people. Oh and be on the lookout for some fabulous desserts to boot!
