I'm from Washington Parish and I've eaten most everywhere in Franklinton. I'm adding Angkor Village to my list of regular spots. This place is super clean and the food is fresh. Standard Chinese dishes with some Thai and Cambodian elements. They do some hibachi stuff. All fairly Americanized Asian stuff. My first visit was today so I haven't had a chance to ask for some Cambodian specialties. I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and spring roll. Light tempura and light orange sauce. Plenty of chicken(white meat) and rice. I'm interested in asking for some traditional Cambodian dishes next visit. Franklinton is a small, rural, mostly agricultural town so there aren't too many ethnic choices here. This is at the top of the Asian choices in Franklinton. Friendly owner and staff.

We started with a small ginger dressing salad that came with the chicken Yakisoba Noodles instead of a soup offering. We also had the gyoza and the torpedo coconut shrimp. Both came with small dipping sauces, one sweet and one spicy and savory. My wife didn't like the spicy one, too spicy for her. I had the unsweetened ice tea with lemon and my wife had a root beer. The decor was Thai framed pictures with elephants, and there was a television playing videos of a sad looking girl singing in either Thai or Cambodian. The soup was Thai familiar. I had the chicken curry with fried rice instead of steamed. It was all good, and a welcome change from Chinese.

This little place on the main street in town is a little gem. The food is very good. The chef came out and gave us a plate of her orange chicken at no charge. This is a new establishment and is getting its footing so the service is a bit slow, but the servers are very nice people and do the best they can. Prices are moderate for the portions served. The place is very clean and bright. I suggest you give it a try for lunch or supper. The wife and I enjoyed our visit and will definitely return.

Looking for Asian food in Franklinton, we had sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, egg roll and soup. Sweet and sour chicken was average, little on soggy side, fried rice lacked flavor, bland, egg roll reminded me of Winn Dixie egg roll, soup was disappointment, lack flavor
