It's taken me awhile to write my review and I'm actually glad that I waited...Wait.....back up....is there actually a health food store/Yoga/art gallery/cooking demo/massage place in the Bayou?! Yep Yep....hard to believe, but it is indeed true.Anela's open for now just over a year has grown as the community has embraced it's inner health self. They offer a myriad of different Yoga styled classes, The grocery has grown leaps and bounds( now offering produce boxes, selected meats and more local products).I was so happy to see so many of the familiar products that I would purchase in California and then in Nola, available right here in the bayou. They carry a great selection of grocery and non-grocery products.On a recent visit, I was there to participate in a monthly event called "Heaven and Hell" an artist showcase of musicians, poets, dancers and visual artists. Organizers use one of the many studios for their event. I saw this as the perfect time to pick up the necessary groceries that I needed and enjoyed a family friendly evening of fun. They do however sell artwork everyday by local artists, that is displayed in the main hall and through out the retail area. Who doesn't love a small business that supports the arts?? I still need to attend one of the many cooking demos they host, where a local chef will take you through the steps of creating magic in your own kitchen. I also need to get a massage, who doesn't need a message...right? The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on classes and products sold....So if you're considering getting your Health On....Anela's is the place for you.....

A couple friends recommended this place & we decided to check it out. We went in looking for a particular item, but also wanted to look around. The 2 ladies that were there were very pleasant & helpful. They were also very knowledgeable about other supplements that would help my wife with joint pain.I asked if it was Ok to take pictures of inside the store & they said absolutely.They really have a wide selection of products & several items are from locals. This store is definitely worth checking out.I attached several pictures of the interior & their products.

I did not purchase a product nor did I get a service from this place. I walked in to just check the place out while I was around the area for a fest. I am really happy to encounter this place. It really makes me happy to see that there are health conscious folks out there, who would like to offer healthier options to the community. This place is a combo of Yoga studio, health food store and massage/spa place. Just by a glance, the yoga and spa area was spacious and very well maintained. The food store section reminded me of Whole Foods. It carries the essential products that you can find in Whole Foods (Organic, Non-GMO, all that good stuff). They have got some fresh produce and meat as well! I found the price pretty reasonable.Definitely a great addition to Houma, no doubt.

I had a massage done today by Rocky, she was amazing and took the time to really understand what I needed/wanted out of my massage. She was super relaxing and very accommodating. The massage was great, too! She did tuning forks, cupping and some rollers/some sort of electronic (I'm guessing) machine. I still feel so much better! She does a great job and really caters to each client. I will do ,y best to be back!!!! Also the store is great! I picked up some turmeric essential oils before I left, but they have all kinds of goodies!

Rocky gives the best massages I've ever had! I live in Baton Rouge, and I will gladly make the drive for one of her massages. I haven't been able to find anyone as good as her. She takes the time to focus on my problem areas and always asks how I've been. She makes you feel like you're visiting an old friend, and I love that. I 100% recommend getting a massage by her.

I love Anelas. I just moved down from California and I'm vegan. It is difficult to find alternative meats and other food beside veggies and fruits. I also love sweets. They have a variety of vegan macaroons and they are delicious. My favorites flavors are chocolate and pistachio.

This post on the health store only. Appears to have a beautiful yoga studio and a varied schedule which I hope to experience. As for the store, went in looking for some carrier oils and aloe. Both of which they didn't have. All the products, while yes appeared to be all natural, were all commercial items and someone else's product. All the traditional items you see in trendy stores. Essential oil collections, beeswax candles, vitamins, that sort of things. They had a small assortment of baked items. Ams I was offered a truffle that had to go for free which was a bonus. However it was so hard, even after sitting out to soften, and Salty?! that it was difficult to eat. However, the store was clean and the staff very nice. I will return to experience the yoga and hope for a better experience.

Very nice healing center is what I call it. Reiki and sound healing, yoga, massages and stretch classes. Definitely a Healing and Clearing place. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

Celeste is a top notch Reiki master. She is gifted at unwinding both physical pain and emotional and mental blocks from early traumas. I always feel better after her work, whether in person or over distance. She is good with thought forms and beliefs , and letting go of ones that don't serve. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Anelas for a massage with Natalie for a few weeks now. She is AMAZING! Since I have been going, my neck and lower back issues have diminished dramatically. I don't even have to tell her where my issues are. She finds them & works them out. She is very passionate & knowledgeable about her work. I cannot wait to try the butterfly experience from her on my next appointment!! You are missing out if you haven't booked a massage with her.
