Predictable decor for the barandgrille genre of the area: taxidermy, Teevee, giant A/C, laminate tables, etc.

Love Alice's! Such a sweet little countryside restaurant. It feels like your auntie is taking your order. The food is always delicious. Try the fried shrimp or roast beef poboys!

Cute little restaurant on the side of 190 that doesn't seem to get a lot of traffic outside of the locals. Friendly employees, very clean and neat inside. I got the blueberry pancakes and they were honking huge and very good. Great place to stop in for a quick bite.

Ate here twice during our vacation . Roast beef poboy was messy - just the way I like it. My 7 year old got a half hot ham and cheese poboy with cheese fries. Ate it up! Great sweet tea and breakfast too.

Literally passing through at noon - saw the name and HAD to pull over. For one thing, I was hungry. And secondly the name and the setting said to me - "potential home-cooking goldmine" - so I'm in. It's the diner you expect before you walk in and it's the diner experience - in a good way. Rosie greeted me on the way in and set me up at the bar. Handed me the menu and told me the special - beef stew, salad, French bread and banana pudding. Nothing says home-cooking more than beef stew so that was all I needed to hear. A few minutes later it landed. Okay - full disclosure - my first reaction was - "Hmmm" - only because I was expecting a different sort of presentation. And I thought "This could be really good or really average" Really good. Like mom made. Generous portion, potatoes and carrots and corn and some green beans in there, thick gravy/sauce, rice and buttered French bread on the side. The salad was simple (shredded cheese and lettuce) but fresh. The banana pudding wasn't amazing and wasn't bad - just solidly in the middle. That being said - it was a very good experience, like the vibe, Rosie was terrific, the menu had a number of other home cooking standards that I'll have to get back here to try (Pot Roast!) - and which I expect will be very tasty. Glad I stopped in. Oh and one other thing - very easy on the wallet!

Great service. She changed the air conditioning without being asked to make us more comfortable. Lots of food. We had breakfast.

Was working in the area. This place was recommended by a coworker who lives in the area. I ate the special and it was great, hot fast, and tasty. It was a Friday during lest so I had catfish. Would recommend and go again.
