Acquistapace's Wine & Cheese

This store is awesome. I will be the first to admit that I was very skeptical when I heard the expansion of Acquistipace into Mandeville wouldn't be a full fledged grocery store. This store is pretty much alcoholic beverages of all kinds along with cheese of all kinds. Trusting the Acquistipace family knew what they were doing, I visited and was very pleased. Beer - I was looking for a very rare, and very specific beer. They did not have it, but did have a very large selection of brews from regional as well as further afield craft breweries. I'm not sure that they have as good a selection as the Covington store, but don't quote me on that. By the way, even if you're not a beer snob, they had all the major brews available as well. Wine - I am no oenophile, but I did recognize how expansive their choices were when it came to wine. Bottles were organized by country of origin, type of wine and cost. There were wines for every budget including bottles under $10 that were listed as great values by the owners. Hard Liquor - They had it all. Really. Every conceivable brand and type. There was also a case containing the ultra high end wines and scotch including some I snapped photos of in case someone wants to get me a gift. Cheese - I am a complete novice when it comes to cheese. There were so many different cheeses that it was a little overwhelming. What made it actually possible for me to select a cheese was their many sampling stations. My youngest helped me sample several cheeses and we settled on a Beemster classic 18 month. I have no idea if that's a good choice, but we like it. It's kind of stinky and full of dense flavor. I'm sure I sound like a moron describing it, but try some cheese. You'll find something you like. I really like this store and think it's a great addition to the area.

Moved away for a couple of years and when I came back, everything at Acqustapace's was just as I left it! I was able to find the same obscure bottle of wine I used to buy in bulk on the same exact shelf. I did see that there is now a location closer to me in Slidell so I'm looking forward to stopping in there soon!

Customer service is terrible if it pertains to reserving alcohol. My husband had his name on the liquor list for Blantons for over a year, just got the call tonight to pick up. So he goes in and gets his bottle and asks the clerk about putting his name on the list again, the clerk goes off on a rant about how it's not fair that everyone isn't able to put their name on the list and they aren't taking names any longer. How is it not fair? He put his name down and waited his turn! If anything the clerk has first notice of when the shipment comes in and can tell her friends. Anyway her whole attitude was terrible we won't be returning, will be going to Total Wine or Gulf Coaster Spirits in the future! Her customer service skills suck and she needs to find another job where she isn't dealing with the public!

So........I don't live in Louisiana and I don't drink but I can honestly say this is some liquor/gourmet store.My goodness what a selection of wines they have. And the little gourmet section has pickles, olives cheeses etc.But the crème de la crème.......................the local homemade caramels.To die for.These are located right near the cashier. And I'm so glad there were some stocked when we passed by on our way to the airport to catch our plane home.

And we have a winner!!What an awesome little liquor/beer/wine/cheese store. My wife sampled cheeses while I picked out a mixed six-pack (you can break out any six-pack to make your own) and some bombers. I meant to get back before we left but didn't have a chance.Nothing but good things to say.

This place is fantastic! At first I only thought that this was a wine shop, but to my excitement they have so much more! Assorted cheese samples as well as various deli meats are laid out in the front of the store which has little signs with recommended wine parings. They have a whole aisle devoted to craft and specialty beer, which I always appreciate. There's also fun cheese boards, fondue sets and other items that would go well with spirits. My family and I got to sample a rum punch made with Captain Morgan as well as a Lemon Vodka drink made with Kettle One. We liked the rum punch so much, we decided to purchase all the fixings at Acquistapace's to make it at home! Acquistapace's wine's aisles are clearly labeled by region. I was looking for an earthy French red blend in the price range of $10-$15.00 and a knowledgeable worker gave me two suggestions that I've never tried before. We decided on a 2012 Chateau Des Perligues Bordeaux. When we got home, we paired that wine with some pasta and were super pleased! It was one of the best French blends I'd ever had! Basically I had a blast shopping in Acquistapace's and I think you will too! Next trip to Mandeville, I'll surely return!

Superior selection of spirits and hard to finds while keeping the prices competitive.First entry into cigars and provides a great selection in a well stocked humidor. Prices are great and they are always open to suggestions. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Best prices on wine and flavored vodka seltzer's! I haven't bought liquor there but also good prices. They have sooo much more than alcohol! Cheeses, meats, lots of specialty items. Service is great and they will help you with anything you need!

Great variety of goods that are nicely displayed and reasonably priced. They also have a wide & well curated assortment of liquors & wines.

I've been looking for a very select bottle of Champagne for a long time. I asked 3 or 4 wine shops and grocery stores to try and special order it. I never got a call back from any of them. I walked into Acquistapace's and explained I was looking for a Philipponnat Royal Reserve Non Dose. They called me back 10 days later and said my order was ready for pick up. To top it off, the price was absolutely outstanding. Very impressed with the customer service and the follow through on a special order!
