I came on a very warm Sunday in June. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Everyone was just so friendly and there was live music! There were booths of arts, crafts and food. Fresh baked bread, honey, desserts, meats and just so much to choose from. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Fun art and farmers market that ran today 11 am to 3 pm (on Sundays). The vendors were setting up this morning so we got some items even before the market was technically open at 11am. Lots of food vendors and different lemonades! Stopped again near the end of the market and got a good deal on different meat jerkies, Cajun carmelcorn, & flavored pork skins.

Abita Springs Farmers Market is held rain or shine every Sunday from noon to 4pm in the historic Abita Springs Gazebo in the Trailhead. Family-friendly with nature walks, bike paths and playgrounds within walking distance. Charming and amazing adventures (UCM Museum) await on every street of this artisan town. The vendors showcased at this market were truly unique. The first, and reason I visited, was a small business owned by a Chef, USMC Wife and Mother to 3 boys, Evyl Confections. Chef Ari creates hand-made batches of traditional, exotic, vegan and Keto-friendly fudge. She debuted her two new Keto flavors; Raspberry and Midnight Expresso. Don't miss these treats! Every bite is sinfully delicious as the company name would lead you to expect. Evyl Confections can be found on Facebook, or their website: www.evylconfections.com and she ships if you live out of the area or have a Keto/Vegan loved one that needs something truly special. As you would expect in any Farmers Market, several vendors featured home-grown, organic produce and....a new and much welcome addition, microgreens, which are a superfood and rarely found in grocery stores. All of the Farmers were friendly and more than willing to share information on the heirloom and unique varieties of veggies that they had for sale. Next, we had a group of booths, such as Serenity Lane, Natural Releaf and Craig's Puzzles N Toys which showcased a variety of products (see photos).Last, but scenting the entire event with appealing smells are the Food Vendors...everything from Falafel, Artesian Breads, Pulled Pork, BBQ Sauces, Lemonade, Elderberry and incredibly...Keto Sausage In 4 varieties (sold by the pack or grilled to juicy perfection). Maybe it was because it was rainy, but everyone was so friendly and had free samples and new things to see and learn. No matter the weather, it was a great day because I stopped and took the time to explore...do this for yourself on a Sunday afternoon. You won't regret it!

This Farmers Market gets a little more popular as weekends go by. I use to like Covington's Farmers Market, but this one is more diverse in products and the prices are better too.
