5216 Table & Tap

Cool spot with great food, drink specials and service is great! Sports bar that isn't typical sports food totally! The smash burgers and wings are great! Definitely a must hit!

This is a bar that serves some good food but plays very bad music although it looks like they can do live music. 5216 Table & Tap is a new spot that opened up back in 2019 which as become noted for being a really great spot to grab a good meal and have some good times in the greater New Orleans area. This spot certainly has some interesting design features and while I've never been here at night it looks like you could have a lot of fun here. I was here for lunch and enjoyed a really nice cheeseburger with some quite amazing brussels sprouts. Overall this is a great spot to grab a meal and possibly a nice spot to enjoy some nightlife as well but I haven't had the opportunity to check that out yet.My video review of 5216 Table & Tap is here:https://youtu.be/QrQhivDZDbs

Upon entering, there was nobody to greet us so we weren't quite sure what to do. The bar is right by the entrance so we made our way there where we were told by one of the bartenders to sit anywhere we like, and handed us menus. We sat near the rear of the restaurant, by the back bar and looked at the menu. After about 15 minutes of several people walking back and forth around us, never talking to us, I asked a tall white, bald headed man if he could send someone over to take our order. He replied that they're busy and they don't have servers and the that when the bartenders aren't busy they'd be out to take our order. He stated we could go to the bar to place our order. This wouldn't have been a problem had we been told this when we came in. Nonetheless, I went to the bar, ordered, and paid. The food came out pretty quickly, was hot fresh, and tasty. I ordered a lemon drop martini also which was pretty good and reasonably priced ($8.95). There certainly wasn't a "WOW" factor about the service but the food was good, atmosphere was great to watch games, eat, and drink. More adult centered. Bathrooms were also pretty clean which is always a plus for me. I'd be open to giving it another chance even though I felt like the service was subpar. Especially when the bald headed guy seemed to be more pleasant and service oriented with everyone else. He appeared to be the owner or manager which really made it worst, but perhaps he wasn't having a great day and we weren't regulars.Oh we ordered the Asian glazed wings and fried chicken sandwich with fries which was huge.

Loved our bartender Kat ‼ First time here, & she makes a perfect French 75. Very flexible and accommodating orders. All around great hospitable service. Will come again.

So this place has gone down a lot. The bartenders there are so unfriendly. Felt like I was bothering them while asking for a drink. I won't be going back there again. Too many other options around town with nicer service. And it doesn't seem like management cares at all that the bar's reputation is being ruined. To bad. It was nice when it first opened.

Came in for happy hour oysters and beerThe food and drinks were great, but our female server was in a very angry mood. Never smiled, and muttered under her breath how much she hated her coworkers. Really unpleasant. Was happy to leave quickly.

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time. Finally made it and it's awesome! Sat at the bar and fast & friendly service. Boudin egg rolls were a huge plus on the appetizer menu. Burger was great but did come with shredded cheese which I'm just personally not a fan of, but I do recommend!

Services was very slow and they had only 2 other tables being used in the whole restaurant. Food was pretty good though.

Love this place.. The boudin egg rolls are my fav and the Asian glaze chicken wings. The servers are always friendly and the drinks are always on point. The remodel they did a while back is still very nice as well. This is a place I continue to recommend to friends and family when they visit.
