3 Southern Girls

Like others, we wanted to see this restaurant after it was featured on Gordon Ramsay's New Orleans Kitchen Nightmare. This was no nightmare. The service was great and we even got to take a photo with the owner. We tried the much favorably reviewed "stuffed green pepper" as well as fried chicken wings. Both were fantastic. The restaurant was to capacity during lunch time.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I ordered a pick iPhone order through their website, and I was excited to try the fried chicken with a side of Mac and cheese and cabbage. The fried chicken was the worst chicken I've ever had in my life. It was fried in VERY OLD fish grease, and the chicken tastes old and SPOILED. I literally spit the chicken out my mouth on the drive back home. I was so disappointed because this is a black owned restaurant, and I wasted $17 of my hard working money on spoiled food. My food was so bad, I had to stop to Popeyes to get lunch, which meant spending more money. 0 stars!

I absolutely love this place. As someone who grew up in southern Louisiana this food makes me feel at home. The service is so sweet and kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend trying this place !

Y'all!!!! This food was sooooooooooo doggone on good.... I had to type DOGGONE! Y'all. Y'all. Y'all. They are wrong for this. I ordered the butter beans with fried chicken ($3 up charge) and my hubby ordered a fish plate, mac&cheese, with a bell pepper. I can't lie his bell pepper was a little to hard for our liking (because we eat the actual bell pepper, not just the stuffing). Even with that, the food was extremely delicious and we were looking for the bed and it was lunch time. We ordered online with easy contactless, curbside, pickup. We'll be back and thanks for an amazing lunch that will carry over to dinner.

3 something but nothing Creole or Southern. unless you want food that taste like it came from a can save your money and go someplace else. River shack is just down the street so Cooter Browns.

This is a great little restaurant to get good food.We tried the Red Beans with sausage and corn bread. The beans were delicious and we both loved the sausage.We'll be back to try more dishesNice pleasant service and the prices are very fair.

Excellent food! Was excited to retry this place after I heard Ramsey had visited. And it is much better I think they're really cooking with all of their soul now

Absolutely love this place. I only know of this place because it is being featured on "Kitchen Nightmares". However after eating here I will be back again, again, and again etc. I had the stuffed bell pepper (Seafood) sweet peas, and sweet potatoes (yams) and the entire meal was phenomenal. The bell pepper was large, the stuffing was plentiful and had a perfect taste. It was moist and a plentiful portion. During my meal I had the good fortune to meet the Owner. She was very cordial, informative, and just plain "Southern", so very very hospitable! If you are in NOLA or even close make your way over there and experience how food should taste.
