New Era Indian Cuisine

I've never dined in, so I can't speak to the ambience, but all of the food that I've ever ordered has been very good. Our favorites are butter chicken, tikka masala, saag paneer and we've had a few of the salmon dishes too, and all of the naans are wonderful. To round out your meal- you've gotta try a mango lassi!

Not sure why this place has such rave reviews. As an Indian this restaurant was a huge disappointment. Maybe we ordered wrong. But then again we ordered the basics of Indian cuisine. Yellow tadka Daal, butter chicken, chicken biryani. Now the yellow tadka daal, which is lentils is one of the easiest dishes to prepare, was lacking in flavour and the tadka (tempering) was absent. The butter chicken was decent, Americanised and on the sweeter side, also butter chicken is traditionally made with dark meat, this was white meat. Lastly for the biryani. Super disappointing, it was a very confused product of half cooked spices, under flavoured rice and overcooked pieces of chicken. This place maybe a good choice for people who don't know Indian cuisine is, but if you are an Indian/Pakistani or Desi, give this place a miss.

This place is run by some of the nicest people anywhere, so I don't love having to leave a less-than-stellar review, but I didn't enjoy my meal. With high expectations due to reviews here and on Google, and with a significant appetite, I ordered the veg curry, the chicken kabob appetizer, and a tandoori roti. I found the curry very oily and tomato-heavy, with vegetables that had a frozen texture (at least the cauliflower, carrots, and broccoli; probably not the peppers). As for the chicken, it was spiced in a way I found unbalanced (it seemed notably heavy on coriander).It's possible I ordered poorly and/or caught them on an off night. Also, almost everyone else has reviewed this place highly, so maybe just ignore me?

Had a taste for Indian food this past weekend and came across this place. I called and placed my order and headed there. The restaurant is under an apartment complex across from the R7 train station so don't drive too fast because you'll miss it. Parking, street and there was a sign pointing towards the parking lot of the apartment. Atmosphere, low light and cozy.Service, the gentleman was very nice. I found out that they deliver.Food: 1. Vegetable samosa and they were fried just right and were nice and crispy. 2. Lamb Tikka masala. The lamb was a little tender but lacked flavor. The masala sauce is what saved it. They gave about 6 chunks of lamb however I wish the lamb cuts were smaller so that I didn't have to take time to cut the pieces smaller. 3. Gulab jamun which were delicious! The balls were small though. They gave me so much sauce that I had plenty left after eating the balls. How I wish I had more balls. 4. Garlic Naan. You can't have masala without the Naan. It was soft, warm, garlicky and delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning to try something different. Enjoy!

Sometimes you have to wonder why you're even going to lunch with your estranged father once a month anymore...You're sitting in a hole in the wall restaurant and this guy does not listen to you and seriously is bumming you out. The atmosphere is bare and utilitarian, but the large windows framing the coming spring gives the place a working class dream like quality. It feels like he still hasn't grasped the concept of codependency and that he's always trying to scheme up ways for the two of you to fix other peoples problems... instead of dealing with your own, and your sitting there looking at this guy like... dude... my man... blood of my blood... flesh of my flesh... get yourself together first, before you suggest a solution for a situation you are not in, or tell me that me that I need to do something I told you I would not do because it's crossing a boundary, or just go the entire conversation without asking me one question about how my life is going and what I think about things... And then the food comes out... and for a while we're in flavor country and not the place you end up when you've been absent in your kid's life for close to 15 years. And gosh dang it if flavor country is not tasty as all get out!First off, that samosa chaat was phenomenal a mix of savory and sweet that really hit the spot. A great appetizer all around!The main course we're also really satisfying! The salmon curry and the tandoori shrimp were well seasoned and packed with flavor! POW! POW! And the garlic naan was the star here! When a flat bread is done right it really takes things up a notch! This stuff was warm, buttery, and had the perfect texture and consistency! Each bite contains a flavor explosion that rocks your tastebuds! POW! 5/5 would recommend!Do yourself a favor and check this place out, it really is a hidden gem dropping with some serious flavor bombs!

While visiting my daughter at her university we were looking for somewhere to eat. We searched Indian food and found New Era. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The restaurant itself was small and cozy. The server was friendly and the food ... delicious! Our party enjoyed the food and great conversation, not once feeling rushed to leave. I'd definitely go here again when in the area.

Delicious food and large portions! My friend and I came for lunch on a Monday and we ordered the chicken tikka masala and paneer vindaloo. So flavorful and the spice was just right. Also the service was great. Will be coming back!

I saw this on yelp and decided to try it. I love it! It's down to earth, friendly, generous portions and delicious!! I went with my husband and adult child. We all loved it. Would definitely go again!

Found this place while visiting grey towers. What a nice, clean place. The food was amazing! Everything fresh, hot and flavorful. One of the best we've had. Highly recommend.
