New Canton BBQ

I stopped at this shop while visiting my daughter in Denver. Coming from Houston where we have some of the U.S.'s best Chinese food (outside of NYC and San Francisco) and some of the best Vietnamese food (outside of southern California), my daughter told me to lower my food expectations. Fortunately for my daughter, someone in a FB group recommended this place for good and authentic Cantonese food. My daughter was a very happy camper when I brought back char siu, roast pork, roast duck and beef flat rice noodle for her. The meats seemed leaner than what I'm used to but the flavors were all there. I used the bonier pieces of the duck to make stock for rice porridge for her before I left. If you're Cantonese, you'll understand

Excellent option near Hmart for roasted pig and duck. We also got bbq pork. Ugh can't believe I just found out about this place!!!!

It's pretty awesome we have a location in Aurora that serves Hong Kong BBQ. It can be a hit or miss depending on the day and how busy they are. The only inconsistency I have experienced is the size of how big the pieces of the duck are cut in. Sometimes they're huge and other times they're pretty slim and great. The flavor is usually pretty great.If you go early and want to try something different, we always ask if they have pipa roast duck. The difference may be subtle if you're new but we like it better and they're one of the few locations that sells it. Otherwise, the other items on the menu are delicious like the char siu or the roast pork belly or the pig intestines. The owners and staff are pretty friendly. They speak Cantonese and understand my elementary level.

Just moved here and finding good Cantonese food is challenging. We happened upon this while going to H Mart. A small hole in the wall. Limited seating (3 tables inside and some outside). Most come to buy their roast duck to take out. We had beef chow fun which was delicious. Also ordered the duck congee. We have been here twice and would come again to try something else.

Stopped in for a whole roast duck. Walked out with a whole roast duck and a rack of Asian BBQ pork ribs. The roast duck was delicious. The meat was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. This is not a crispy duck, so if you're looking for crispy skin, I don't think you'll find that here. The BBQ pork ribs were just ok. The flavor was excellent. But some of the pieces were dry. Not all of it, just some of the pieces. I probably would go with the BBQ pork instead of the ribs next time to see if that's more moist.

I had high hopes for the siu mei (Cantonese BBQ) at this place. The first time I went, there was a line out the door. I came back during off peak hours to try their roast pork, duck, and goose over rice. There was no line, but the meat did not taste warm or fresh. The chicken had a few feathers, and the pork was dry. I really hope this was an off day. Otherwise, I will be looking for another place to get my char siu.

It's expensive Chinese BBQ but I don't blame them; everything is expensive these days. I really loved the roast pork; skin was crispy and the pork was very juicy (note : I also went right when it opened so the meat was fresh). Charsiu (bbq pork) wasn't as good but still tasty.Overall, I had a great experience and ate in + took some to go. Didn't try the duck but maybe next time.

I am definitely the kind of person who is addicted to roast duck rice noodle soup as it was my comfort food growing up. I am very happy to have found New Canton and have returned multiple times to order just that. I am a fan of their roast duck, which in my experience has always had flavorful skin and a good amount of meat on the bone. I haven't purchased just meat to go, but I'm sure I will sometime in the future. This is a reliable place to grab some bbq meat based dishes and they're super fast and efficient about getting your food to you. There's a small space inside to eat if that's what your feeling, and tables outside during the summer as well. I will be returning to order the same thing I always do, the food is delicious and consistent.

I don't come here to sit and eat. Well not with anyone in addition to myself. Tiniest place. That being said, everything on their menu is so good. Well everything that I've had. My favorite is the roasted duck. I always get a whole duck to go whenever I'm over in this neighborhood. You can get an entire whole pork for parties and events also! No ambiance and service isn't a thing here the owners are super sweet. Stop by to grab meal to go, you won't regret it.

A hole in the wall restaurant thats right next to HMart. At first glance, the place is tiny and basically take out only. Ordered roast pork and beef chow fun. The roast prok wasn't as warm when we got home, but the crispness was still there. Beef chow fun was good but needed some extra flavor since it was a bit bland and dry. The prices were high, so in my opinion it was not really worth it for the quality of the food. However, if you plan to stop by here after grabbing some groceries from HMart, it might be a good place to stop by for some roast duck or roast pork.
