Aaah literally the best chicken sandwich place in the Boston area (my boyfriend's words) and omg the haitian spaghetti is such a steal ($15 for 2 dinners). We've always had good experiences eating/ordering from NK. And such a unique fusion Asian + Haitian :0 I'm such a fan! Very thankful to the person who recommended this place to me!! The Haitian spaghetti has an Asian taste to it that my girlfriend really liked.Korean wings were underwhelming in flavor and a tad on the dry side. Sweet cornbread waffles and fried plantains were just OK.Flex Mac and cheese was very bland and dry.The diner itself was very clean and the staff were excellent.

I honestly have no words for how good the food is at Neighborhood Kitchen! Don't sleep on this hole in the wall. Just do yourself a favor and go! I ordered the creole chicken with rice and beans and a side of macaroni and cheese with a berry limeade. Everything was SO GOOD! The creole chicken was packed with flavor (only $12!) and the Mac and cheese was probably some of the best I've had! The homemade beverages are also a hit! I highly recommend the berry limeade. My boyfriend ordered the salmon burger which was also very tasty! So glad I was able to support this small black owned establishment.

People aren't kidding, the cream of wheat really is that good. I would have naively expected all cream of wheat to be disgusting, but it's delicious. Also has really cute outdoor seating when the weather is good, and lots of different flavors for the tasty mimosas.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while! It's a small, no frills type of place where you order at the counter and pick a table. Food comes in takeout containers even if you're eating there.I came here with my husband for dinner around 6ish on a Saturday in February. I was incredibly frustrated when we were told two of the dishes we went there to try were out of stock (black rice and pupu platter). That may sound dramatic, but black rice is a haitian food staple, and the pupu platter is their appetizer sampler, so they were both high on the list if must-try to see what the restaurant is about. They did appear to be putting together a large catering order, but I don't think that should impact menu availability for restaurant customers. We ordered spring rolls (yummy), empanada (idk what these are, but they shouldn't be called an empanadas. They were ok), a side of Mac n cheese (not bad), h milly chicken sandwich (mind blowing delicious) and griot with beans and rice (also mind blowing delicious).The service wasn't super warm/welcoming, and the restaurant was literally freezing. We actually ate our meals with our winter parkas on it was so cold in there. Like they didn't have heat on in February...? But I could only take away 1 star because the food is what matters and they're killing it in that area. Everything came out piping hot, perfectly cooked and delicious. Seriously the best griot my husband or I have ever had at a restaurant (and he is Haitian, we eat that a lot). It took me a while to figure out the star rating because I was annoyed with some aspects, but really, the food is what brings us, and it was worth it!

Fantastic brunch with hefty portions. We arrived to the restaurant a little before they opened but they were still able to accommodate us with great customer service and hospitality! Dishes ordered:Stuff French toast ( brunch menu) Chicken and waffles (brunch menu) Pros:- Portions were huge- chicken was very flavorful! - great customer service (friendly staff and management) - presentation of food mint Cons:- stuffed French toast wasn't too flavorful (a little on the bland side) - that's about it... Recommendations: - definitely try the chicken and waffles if you are in the mood for something salty and sweet and have extra room in the stomach because its a lot! ( Good for 2 people) Verdict: Overall very cute brunch spot. Will definitely have to try it again!

This place is surely neighborhood-y in the fact that it caters to a lot of different flavor profiles. While I am not always a fan of the fusion style restaurant, it surely works here bc everything is just GOOD.Food - Honestly everything we ordered was delightful. My faves were the pupu platter ($15) and the mac and cheese ($9) but I also liked the waffles, chicken, and sandwiches.We got delivery and it was timely. Thanks for being such a delicious dinner and one of the best places to get food from in Medford!

Did takeout here. Struggled a bit with the ordering process on Yelp. The regular menu shows items that are not on the Yelp/GrubHub menu. For example, I couldn't get a side of plantains and some of the beverages weren't on there. The food was ok. The Korean wings didn't really taste like Korean wings. The sauce was more of a jerk sauce and it was sitting at the bottom of the take out container, so the wings were dry. The lasagna with the plantains was interesting. The side of plantains were good - that was my favorite item. The portions were a bit on the small side for the prices being charged. Service was friendly. Street parking was easy to find.There was some seating inside.

Terrible costumer service! Ordered a chicken Sandwich, Whatever sauce was used on my sandwich was not pleasing and made me very nauseousI wasn't even going to say anything but I did bc I PAID for it. As a business you are supposed to make sure your customer is satisfied! I gave her my food back and she can clearly see it was barely touched, I told her what was wrong she just took my plate and brought it back and didn't say a word to me. I sat back down waiting for her to ask me if I would like to replace it with something else but she did not so I got up and asked her if I could switch it with something else. She had a nasty attitude and said "usually no, you get what you paid for and that's what you wanted so that's what you got". Rolling her eyes at me! That is not how you handle a customer. I've never had this experience. Anywhere else would apologize and ask you if you would like anything else without waiting for you to say something! Never coming back ! DO NOT RECOMMEND!
