The ambiance was great and the cocktails were really refreshing. The food was fine but nothing too memorable. I must say I had much better Asian food in Philadelphia that were priced way more reasonable. The food lacked flavours and salt. Everything was fresh but there could be more emphasis on the taste rather than on the valet parking and fancy indoors.

I love the ambiance of this place. We met friends there for dinner. We were seated promptly even though the other couple had not yet arrived. We started with drinks, and I had a hard time settling on just one. I chose the Lavendar Goddess, and it was delicious. Service was attentive, timely, and pleasant. We ordered many appetizers. King Kong roll was byfar the best! Pork dumplings were descent. The lobster roll was okay. The bacon was a nice touch, but overall, it didn't elevate the dish to what I assume was the target. The Amish chicken and shrimp were a disappointment. The basil sauce was barely noticeable. My husband had the Nectar lo mein, which didn't tempt me for a second bite. Overall, I would return, but maybe stick to the appetizers, sushi, and drinks.

Wow! This is an extreme surprise, you go down a quiet suburban road and out of nowhere pull into this restaurant, there's complimentary valet and a huge (no marijuana) sign. You step in and it's a huge upscale dining room, similar to Buddakan in Old city, there's a huge bar and a sushi bar. The menu is much more extensive with sushi, sashimi, Chinese and Asian items. We ordered some sushi, 2 appetizers, and three mains for the 4 of us, portion size is generous. My favorite were the Vietnamese sandwiches, the wok chili tenderloin and the saffron infused fried rice. We definitely didn't have enough space for dessert. But such a great place. Service was great, helpful, informative and we didn't feel rushed. I do recommend making reservations, the place was very busy!

I've always heard great things so I finally tried it. I was incredibly impressed with the quality of service by the entire staff. We sat at the bar and the two bartenders Dominic and Tim were great. They gave good food recommendations and were very friendly. All other staff were very friendly greeting everyone with big smiles. It's really beautiful inside with various sitting areas. The bar is small but comfortable and great quick service. Overall the food was good but wasn't as amazing as I've always been told. The quality of the food isn't worth the high prices of each item. The Brussels sprouts are good and very crispy. Every bite is crispy which is rare with Brussels sprouts. They're good but lack flavor other than the Brussels sprout flavor. They're pretty dry because they don't come with any sauce or any other flavor component. Pork dumplings are a bit mushy and don't have much flavor. They had a weird texture and were barely crisped. Chicken pad Thai- very good flavor. Well cooked with crunch and a zing but not spicy Fried rice- good charred flavor. Sausage is a bit spicy. Fluffy rice and all veggy flavors mix well. Highly recommend

We went here for my wife's 30th Bday dinner and it didn't disappoint. The service was over the top & Bob our server was such a nice guy and was knowledgeable on the food and drinks. If you have been to Budakhan in center city, it kind of has that feel to it on the inside. The sushi was 10 / 10 and i suggest getting the grapefruit lychee martini

We had a lovely meal at Nectar last nite. The service was attentive, but not pushy, and very responsive. It was packed on a Saturday night creating a pretty loud atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet meal this is likely not the place for you. That said, the energy was good. Their menu consists of sushi items as well as more traditional plated meals. We started with the Dim Sum Bento for 2 and I would highly recommend it. Always nice to have rates of a few different things. My entree was one of the specials; seared scallops over a pea risotto. The dish was presented well, with a generous portion of 5 scallops. Overall, it was tasty but extremely salty. While the scallops were delicious and butter tender I would argue they didn't appear seared at all. My mango ginger martini was tasty, and the right amount of sweet.Overall, this is a nice spot for a more upscale meal. Not a place I would bring children, but good for a date night.

Walking into Nectar, you are pleasantly surprised by the upscale, modern Asian vibe in this quiet neighborhood. Great energy in the crowded dining area. Jessica was our server, and she was attentive, responsive and quick - and seemed to be paying attention to our flow - from drinks and appetizers to entrees through dessert (mini donuts).Food:- Dimsum Bento for 2 - 3.5/5 - Jessica allowed us to extend this to 3, since there were 3 of us. Pretty good variety in texture and flavor - the egg roll and crispy potsticker were average. the steamed potsticker had more flavor through the black bean /soy saucey sauce, tho it was a little salty, and the edamame potsticker came in a buttery creamy asparagus sauce which was good - reminded me more like a pasta tapa. - Spicy chicken 3.5/5 - almost like an orange chicken but less crispy and batter-y, which I actually enjoyed better. - Shrimp pad Thai - 4/5 - appearance-wise, looked a bit too plain but when you take a bite, the flavor is delicious, noodles cooked perfectly and overall, a great version of pad Thai. - Sushi bento for two plus added Spicy Tuna Handroll - 3/5 - average variety of Sushi rolls and nigiri. Nigiri slices of tuna and sake were pretty thin. Spicy tuna handroll was decent but nothing unique. Not pictured: Crispy calamari & Edamame - 3/5 - calamari was fried well but not much flavor - relies on dipping in the accompanying sauce. Hot fresh Mini donuts - 3.5/5 - these were not the kind of donuts from the donut shop... they were a bit dry made better by dipping into one of the sauces - chocolate, coffee caramel or raspberry vanilla - all of which were good and not overly sweet. Overall - 3.5/5 Nice experience overall for a night out, especially in the suburbs

Brilliant atmosphere even if rather noisy. Open sitting and high and restaurant. That's a 3 star. The food on the other hand is not to our liking. Oily, oily and oily. It seems all their vegetable are deep fried and than thrown into a wok. Don't believe me, take it home and you will notice that the wok dishes that we ordered and than brought home the leftovers were so oily the next day after being rested that we could not in good conscious eat it. It tasted oily and has that shiny oily look to it. It was sickening. This is what we ordered////Appetizer Edamame Dumplings 8/10 the asparagus oily Sushi 9/10 delicious and their wasabi delicious Dim Sum for 2. 8/10 delicious Main course and sides//// Nectar Lo Mien. 4/10 oily YucksWoke up Chilli Beef 6/10 oily sickFried Rice 6/10 oily but it's fried riceEggplant Vege wok 4/10 tasteless, so oily Shrimp Pad Thai 6/10 too oilyWok lobster 7/10 again deep fried Vege Only saving grace was their DessertRaspberry Crème BrûléePana Cotta espresso. Both 9/10It is a beautiful loco and the atmosphere is brilliant. The service staff 10/10 and it is superb. However the food left a lot to be desired. Oily food is a very Chinese staple where they quick deep fry their meat and vegetable and throw them in the wok. This is more akin to cheat cooking and we did not like it one bit. Not a go to place

Everything was excellent. First, we sat at the bar and had Margaritas and the "Asian Manhattan (infused with 5-spice) which was so nice, I ordered it twice. For apps, we had the edamame dumplings and the calamari, which were perfect. The calamari was crisp and flavorful, while the dumplings were just an enhanced favorite of mine. For the main course, we had Crispy Chicken and the Moo Shu Pork, which are both phenomenal. We had the Francis Coppola to complement, which was great. We finished off the night with the Espresso Panna Cotta and coffee. Both were great, though I wish there was more Panna Cotta.Finished off the evening with a gentle nod from M. Night Shyamalan which, for a movie buff like me, just gift wrapped the evening for my birthday. We will be back to Nectar very soon. Cheers!
