Xtra Diner Gyro & Grill

They set up at my work for lunch. Bi got the gyro meal with salad. They offered it in chicken and lamb. I got the lamb, and it was tender and tasty. My plate with no drink was $14. It's definitely worth a try.

If you're looking for locally owned and authentic Greek food - look no more! It was catered at party we were at and the food was fresh and tasted so good... I was quick to find out where the food was from- we will definitely be regulars!

Food is very fresh and the folks are friendly. There is indoor and outdoor dining areas.

So hungry forgot to take a photo but the owner and staff are incredibly kind. Food was great and a LARGE portion. Chicken was moist and flavorful and not dry at all. Rice was also flavorful. The owner generously gave the person with me traditional Egyptian cookies because she spoke Arabic. Inside is very clean and well taken care of. We will definitely come back next time we are passing through Nashville.

When it comes to diner food, I'm looking for a clean environment, friendly service, and, most importantly, delicious food. This place has all three. I arrived just as they opened, so the digital menu displays were just booting up. Even with a bit of a language barrier, placing an order for the chicken wrap was easy. The wrap was freshly warmed., and the server/cook/cashier pointed at the fixings (which all looked freshly cut and prepped)--onions, tabouli, tomato, feta cheese, homemade tzatziki sauce--and I made my picks. Less than $10 and a few minutes later I was eating one of the best wraps I've ever had. Because I came before the lunch rush and no one else had yet arrived, the server called at me from the counter to ask if I liked it. I gave him a "thumbs-up" because my mouth was full, and he smiled proudly. As you would expect, a few small pieces of the perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken naturally fell from the wrap into the white, styrofoam container. It was so tasty, I picked the case clean. From my seat I could see a Hooters a stone's throw away. As I double checked that I didn't leave any chicken behind, I felt good about my choice. Highly unlikely I would have found this place but for Yelp. Nashville, you have a gem with this place. Hope I can visit again soon! (The wrap was so tasty and I ate so fast, I forgot to take a picture.)

Great menu with massive selection. Everything is made to order using homemade recipes and the owners are super sweet and helpful. Prices are very reasonable.

We ordered our food to go as we passed through town on a road trip moving to Denver. Food was delicious and flavorful! Highly recommend this off the beaten path restaurant! (But still close enough to the highway!)

The owners behind the counter are extremely kind & literally made my wife & I feel like we were running the kitchen. They offered us special orders to make & the food was delicious! Portions are very generous & the food was freshly made. The ranch sauce is fantastic - not all ranch is created equal, ya know! The deserts were freshly made & were a nice treat; sitting in the lounge is neat & clean. Can't ask for a better first time experience. Will be back!

Food and service are impeccable. Gyro and the mixed plate with the chicken is always my go to--always order the spicy too. Super good. Good prices as well. And their baklava tastes really fresh too.

Our food was delectable. Our dining experience transformative. I'm writing this as I eat. Seldom have I felt so drawn to the moral glow of Yelp. If Xtra Diner has 1000 fans, I am one of them. If Xtra Diner has 1 fan, I am that fan. If Xtra Diner has zero fans, I have died. Visit this restaurant immediately. The kindness of the owners radiated with a Christ-like vibrancy, gleefully inviting us into their sublime wake.
