Barbecued 1/2 slab of ribs for lunch was good- better than chili's, which I had for dinner Cole slaw was dressed with vinegar it was good but I'm used to a creamier versionI was wanted some local barbecue the ribs came with a little container with 3 tablespoons maybeIce tea (unsweetened) and lemonade meh Lemonade drink? Today after meeting with Steve Dunlap, owner of Whitt's BBQ in Madison, we put up another campaign sign, then my hubby and I grabbed some lunch with our former Councilperson (and my campaign manager) Jim Forkum. The turkey BBQ sandwich was my pick, my husband chose BBQ pork on cornbread, and Jim wisely grabbed a family pack to share with his wife after a full day of teaching here in MNPS. It's a takeaway place; the drive-through line was hopping! #WhittsBBQ #EatLocalDistrict9

There BBQ is always good and a consistent option for BBQ. It is not an eat in type of place so you generally have to pick up your food and go. It make a great option for a pick up dinner on the way home.

Wow! Not impressed at all with this location. This is BBQ? Really? No sauce, soggy bread, 7 pickles on one sandwich, am I in Oz? We'll skip this location from now on.

Stopped by yesterday for a quick lunch. Ordered a plain barbecue sandwich & large tea for $6++ .As I was driving down the street I opened sandwich, low & behold two little stringy strips of flavorless meat. And this was a regular priced sandwich not the discounted one. My how Whitt's has fallen. AVOI

Very offended when I asked for extra vinegar sauce and the person came from behind came and said "yea u like our sauce" in a very rude way! Not professional at all. Creeped out to eat my sandwich. I called my husband to get dinner. Not making this up.

Ordered a loaded pork potato today for lunch. It was Thursday so it was a little cheaper than normal ($5.99). The pork itself was decent especially for the price. The potato was good but not great. It had been sitting for a while I could tell as the outside of it was black in a few places. Not terrible but a fresher potato would've been much better. I asked for extra sauce but didn't get extra. I would've happily paid to get 2 sauces if I needed to. The biggest disappointment was that it came with fake butter on the side. I don't want whipped spread on my tater. So, I waited to eat it til I got home and used real butter and cheese to spruce it up. For the price it isn't bad. It was quick and the guy at the window was friendly. How about up the cost 50 cents for some real butter? That'd be more than worth it and I wouldn't have been happy if I hadn't been going home to spruce it up.

I currently live in va, however when i go back to tn to visit I always make a stop at whitts. They have great food and wonderful service. Even the 1 time (out oof many) that there was an error with my order they immediatly fixed it and gave me a little something extra. They are always so friendly, food always hot and fresh and time to prepare is quick. I think whitts i think yumm!
