Taqueria El Dollar

First time in Nashville and we stayed at the Knights Inn directly behind the taco truck. We ate here three separate times and I made sure to try something different everytime. Got carnitas tacos...chicken tacos and the sampler platter. I gotta say the platter was my favorite simply becuase of the taste of everything....I'm not a huge refried bean guy but these had great flavor. Cost of inflation and the tacos are more than a dollar but still a great deal and well worth it. They were also nice enough to give us a bunch of lime wedges for the Pacifico beer we bought at the gas station next door. :)

Really good! Chicken nachos were amazing! The horchata and chicken tacos were really good also. They had someone there that spoke English also which is nice so there's no confusion

I've been making my way down Nolensville Pike sampling all of the taco trucks- I've found my numero uno. The tacos are only 99 cents and they give you more meat than the other taco trucks. The meat is very flavorful, and they have a wide variety of menu items, helpfully displayed by picture on the side of the truck. My current fave are the mulitas, but the tacos are great too. They serve the tacos with pickled carrots and grilled onions and chilis.They are very friendly and bilingual. This taco truck is in the parking lot of Tusculum Cleaners, so if you dribble a little taco grease, just drop your cleaning in the 24 hour bin! They are cash only

Their carnitas taco is so so so good here!!! I loved how tender and flavorful it was. I wasn't a fan of the asada tacos tho. To me it was a little to dry however my husband loved it! The Barbacoa was also delicious especially if you love some fat in your tacos! Will for sure return.

Delicious delicious tacos! I love going to Nolensville Pike to get the best Mexican food in the city. There are a lot of trucks and while I have my favorite, I have seen this one a few times (parked across from my usual fav) and have wanted to give it a try. Mainly because of their sign that said .99 tacos. Now that's hard to beat! I finally stopped for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It's in the parking lot of a gas station but there is still a small parking lot. I walked up to order. I was a little disappointed to see that they had changed the price to $1.25/taco. Not that I think that is expensive, it's just I only had a $5 bill (cash only) and I wanted to leave a tip so I could only get 3 tacos instead of 4. Maybe they raise the prices on the weekend? I'll have to keep an eye out for the .99 sign. I went up to the window to order and got 3 barbacoa tacos. They took a few minutes to make the tacos and thanked me for stopping by. I took the order home to eat. The tacos are more authentic style so don't expect all of the toppings piled on. The tacos are also a little smaller but I would say 3 was the perfect amount. The tacos come with meat, grilled onions, cilantro, a hot sauce, and some grilled carrots on the side. I will say this taco truck puts the most meat on the taco. There was a lot of barbacoa on there. The meat was cubed and really tender. The flavor was wow...damn good. The focus of the tacos is on the meat and it should be. There is enough flavor there where you don't need to pile on sour cream and lettuce and tomatoes and guac, etc. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Best taco truck in Nashville!! I've been eating here for years. They used to be $1 tacos, but now they are $1.25. But that's fine, they're so good, the business deserves a price increase and $1.25 is great price for street tacos. They are small street tacos served with pickled onions and pickled carrots. They're delicious! Please go try these guys!

We did a taco tour of Nolensville road and this place was the best. The tongue was so tender and delicious. Jamaica was not overly sweet which was nice. Now to be fair I had a different taco at each truck but my friend had the steak at them all and she also thought they were the best.

The best taco truck that I've been to for lunch. Right across the street from my dry cleaners. Call ahead and your food will be ready.

First time trying this one. Close to our hotel so we walked up. We tried the taco steak assada, pollo, barbacoa, and carnitas. All were really good but the barbacoa topped them all! Hot & mild salsa were each very good flavors that played up the taste of the tacos. Grilled jalapeño and onions and pickled carrots were very nice. Great price for a fantastic plate of tacos!

These are the best al pastor tacos in town. Hands down. And we have tried them all! The pickled spicy carrots on the side are amazing. This is the best location but all of the El Dollar trucks are delicious.
