Southern Engine Deli

Such a great little deli! We stumbled upon this location as part of a trolley tour around Nashville and absolutely loved the lunch here!The counter-service deli team was friendly and efficient and the lunch spot would be the sort of deli you could hit up all the time if you lived or worked in the area. I opted for the BLT which was served on toasted sourdough and featured perfectly crisp bacon and salt and pepper along with mayo. A perfectly constructed BLT!Others in the party all raved about their sandwiches and not a single complaint was heard. The menu board had some really awesome sounding options and if I were to find myself back at Southern Engine Deli there would be more than a few options that I'd look to try.Chips, snacks and bottled drinks were all available and there were a few salad options also available for order. Ample seating options available in the deli and the crowd of customers moved through the deli line swiftly and with smiles on their faces. Highly recommend checking out this deli!

This deli restaurant is located inside the Marathon Motorworks building. It is stop number one on the trolley tour. You get large portions for a reasonable price. Everything is made to order so if it is crowded, it takes a few minutes. Is well worth the wait. The Italian sub is delicious.

Not my first choice, but never a bad choice. I ordered the Turkey Rachel, which was very delicious, but VERY messy!

I was not expecting to enjoy a sandwich as much as I did this one!! My husband and I both ordered Turkey Rachel's on Sourdough instead of Rye and they were incredible!!!It's located in a very cool building and the vibe is relaxed. Friendly service, and good food... what else can you ask for?!

We seem to make our way to this deli every time we visit Nashville.Went with the SEC this time. It'll feed two humans or half a Vol linebacker. And it's delish! Family owned and operated. These are hard working folks who churn out consistently great food every day. Go local. Pay cash. Leave a tip.

I don't usually write reviews but this deli was AMAZING. The staff was so sweet!! My friend has a dairy allergy and they made every accommodation for her! The food was DELICIOUS and fresh! Would definitely recommend!!

Great little sandwich place, friendly and served quickly!! Stopped in to get something to eat before I visited the distillery next door and ordered the Turkey Rachel. It had turkey, coleslaw, Swiss and thousand island dressing toasted on pumpernickel rye bread. It was delicious!!! Great little spot!!!!

This place slaps. Def make sure to hit this place when bumming through the Marathon Motor Works building. Sandwiches are fat af and absolutely delicious! Italian, French Dip and the SEC are all personally approved.

Really good. Lots of meat on the sandwich. Small little place and tough to park but worth the walk to grab a delicious fresh deli sandwich.

We got a ruben, a french dip, and a grilled cheese and everything was delicious!!! They definitely deserve their great ratings!
