I have been wanting to eat here for quite some time. The expectation for authentic South American food was pretty high because the pics of the menu showed Spanish and English descriptions of the food. When I arrived for lunch, I was told I could sit at any table. I heard a lot of Spanish spoken and there were plenty of Spanish influenced decorations around which upped the expectations. Service was really laid back. I ordered carne asada the first time I visited. It was cooked up in the kitchen that is visible to customers and brought to my table. I was not wild over the food. I thought the beef was somewhat tough and not that flavorful. I also felt that the macaroni salad was not cohesive with the rice, beans, and avocado slices. However, I did return a few weeks later to try a torta for the first time and it was outstanding. The bread was toasted to add some flavor. However the chicken was prepared, it was yellow, seared, and very tasty. Surprisingly, the refried beans melded well with the chicken and cheese! The torta was so delicious and savory. I would love to have many more tortas from here.

I'm back! Our last visit was in 2017 during our visit to watch the total Eclipse in Nashville. Six years later we're on our way to Indiana to watch another total eclipse and had to stop in again while passing Nashville. We remembered the place! They're open until 8pm on Sundays!!! Still the same vibe with a couple more tables than I remembered but it's still a small place. You'll pass it if you're not careful. Friendly service. Same menu. Ordering pupusas to go! It looks like there are a lot of regulars eating. From recent reviews, the food is still good. I can't tell that yet but the food smell is amazing.

Tiniest little hole in the wall hidden gem - the pupusas are delicious! Wish they offered a few more filling options but the portion sizes are great & the prices can't be beat.

Delicious homestyle salvadorian food in an unassuming place. It just feels like you're walking into someone's home and getting to eat some delicious food. It was a little confusing when we got in as to if we could seat ourselves but the waitress came over quickly and pointed us to an open table. Their menu is in both Spanish and English with pictures which was helpful.I came here for the pupusas and they didn't disappoint. We got the pupusas and beef tacos. For the pupusas we got a couple with all the fillings (cheese, beans, chicharron and loroco which is some kind of Mexican flower I think) and a couple with just cheese and beans. The food came out pretty fast and you could see them making it fresh in the back. They serve it with some lightly pickled cabbage that you can put on top for a refreshing acidity to the savory cheese mixture and also adds a nice crunchy texture. They also gave two sauces. The green one actually packs some heat! They're actually pretty filling and two can definitely make a meal if you're not starving. A steal at $2.50 each too! The beef in the tacos was very flavorful and had a nice char but the overall taco was just ok.

I had never had a Salvadorian pupusa until I came here so I'm happy to say I'm broadening my horizons. Although a small, modest shop their all-women staff was just amazing to watch. The kitchen is open to the restaurant so you can see them frying up food before you. If you speak Spanish it'll be easier to communicate but fear not because they do speak English as well. When we came on a weekend there were lots of families having a late lunch. The price is cheap as it's only $2.50 for a pupusa which is larger/more filling than a taco. I loved the sauces and cole slaw they serve with it as well. Try something new and give this local place a shot they are worth it!

Papuseria Reina la Bendicion is one of the hard to find little restaurants that once you uncover them, you are so glad you did and you alternate between shouting its praises from the rooftops and wanting to keep it to yourself.I stumbled across this place after hearing a whispered recommendation. Be warned, it is a bit difficult to find. It is behind a business in the back half of the building. If I had not been told of it, I would never had found it and never had the wonderful meat that awaited.I opted for three papusas and a steak taco. What an incredible feast. The papusas, a Salvadoran feast, were simply amazing. Pillowy perfection of pork and cheese and the taco was mind blowing. The steak was plentiful and cooked to a perfect char. This is a truly amazing culinary find in Nashville and it is a place I shall return to. Please be warned that there is a language barrier, but my friendly server and I made it work with little difficulty and a lot of smiles.

I had a craving for pupusas while in Nashville so I looked around and stumbled on Pupuseria Reina off Nolensville road. Let me first say as I walked into the restaurant I realized it was very authentic from the decor down to the fresh cooking. I was immediately acknowledged by an employee and asked for my order. The food came out at a decent speed considering they were fairly busy. The food was more then affordable at $2.50 per pupusa. You can honestly get full off just two of them. I ordered the rice, a pork and cheese pupusa and a bean and cheese pupusa. The pork and cheese was full of flavor and I enjoyed it. The bean and cheese was not as favorable but was fresh tasting. The rice to me didn't seem fresh and lacked in the flavor department. Overall I would definitely grab a few pork and cheese pupusas next time I'm near!

Good pupusas, good value. It's a little no frills, but you'll be full and they do have some good drink selections too.

I found them because we love pupusas and wanted to try a new spot. Everything was good but my family all agrees that this place has the best frijoles. The plantanos were good too.

Great restaurant! Tasty food and colorful decor. The aunties making the food in the back makes it really authentic. The pupusas are made fresh and the pan con pollo is super filling. Go to this place if you want an authentic experience.
