We went to tea here and were disappointed. Very expensive and sadly not worth the price. Service was spotty & too much sweets , bread & very little actual quality sandwiches.

Nashville has the best events during Christmas and one in particular is the Christmas Tea inside the Hermitage Hotel at the Capitol Grille. Things you need to know: 1. Make reservations (this is a busy venue and walk-ins have difficulty finding spaces)2. They have complimentary valet parking for this event. Bring your ticket to the check in desk and they can stamp it for you when you arrive. 3. The tea is located in the mezzanine area of the hotel which is flooded with natural light and flanked by an enormous Christmas tree for Insta worthy pics. (A couple was filming when we were there.)4. For $75 per person (and an automatic tip added at the end), see this as a once-a-year splurge with a few of your friends and start a new Nashville tradition.

Charming, fun & beautiful afternoon tea!All six of us were delighted with our afternoon "Spillin' Tea with Draper James" at the Hermitage. The setting was lovely, and we appreciated that each place setting had a unique tea cup and saucer. Our tea sandwiches, scones and desserts were wonderful, and the dietary needs of the two pregnant members of our party were meticulously and deliciously accommodated. We all agreed that our waiter, Tommy, was a particularly charming feature of the afternoon! He was sweet and helpful in doing his real job, and most gracious about taking photos for us and filling us in on the unique history of the hotel.

It's a petty that this place isn't on the wow side, don't get me wrong, it's good but I wouldn't say it's worth the penny they charge. I've been here a few times now and this time just sealed it for me. The food is just not solid. I can't even remember well but it was steak and we had the duck that day too. The service has always been just ok. It's nice to come and say you did, if you're all about that.

Great dining. Food is good and staff at the Baltimore location were great. Hubby and I both had steak and it was cooked to perfect ion. Would recommend for a date night.

Upon arrival to Capitol Grille we were a bit confused thinking it was the franchise. However we were pleasantly surprised as our waiter explained the history of the restaurant. As the staff bustled around like anger honey bees changing all table linens with each turnover, I couldn't help but notice the Matre'd had a bulge in his pants the size of an eggplant. His pants were tighter than my father's wallet at a school fundraiser. His jacket looked like something found in the kids section of a department store and I'm sure the entire look was very European but I couldn't get past the battle of the bulge. Need less to say this kept us entertained the entire evening.. The salads come fromTheir own farm and we're fresh and delish. My steak was cooked perfectly but the star of the dinner was the dessert beigne with blueberry compote and lemon buttercream ice cream was amazing.

Had dinner here tonight before a show at TPAC across the street. Service was a little slooooooow at first, took a while to actually order. Once we ordered though everything went smoothly. Started w some deviled eggs which were delicious - basic deviled eggs, but tasty for sure. For dinnner I actually ate meat! They didn't have a fish dish I wanted so I had my first steak in a year. It was pretty good! Cooked perfectly and definitely a quality piece of meat. Sides were smashed potatoes (YUM) and broccolini (ALSO YUM), both bathed in butter and we appreciated it. Crowd in here was older (white haired honestly) and mostly wearing suits... kind of a little stuffy. It wasn't busy either for a Saturday night. The food was great but the atmosphere could be a little more modern to me personally.

The food was soo good! Definitely a bit over priced for the portions but I loved from California so it felt kind of normal. Wouldn't get the steak again, I think the coffee crust should have been a bit less heavy handed to complement the meat instead of taking away from it. But everything was great, very beautiful dining area!

The warm shrimp salad is delicious and so is the spinach pizza. Lovely spot in Nashville

This will be our last trip to the CG unless we hear that things improve. Service was ok. The cream I poured in my first cup of coffee was clotted. Yuck. Got that replaced quickly. Food? Well, see the photo below of the bananas garnishing my plate of unremarkable pancakes. They arrived looking this unappealing. Why would that be on any plate?! Just gross.
