"Excellent choice! Our first visit and it's a new favorite! We loved the 4 dishes we ordered and the service was outstanding! We couldn't have enjoyed a family dinner more. Food-5 star Food was quick and delicious-all levels of spiciness are available. My favorites were the butter chicken and lamb vindaloo. The garlic naan was done just right -hot but not dried out. The rice pudding was a perfect end to a great dinner. Service -wish I could give more than 5 stars ! Unbelievably helpful with our choices, all levels of spiciness available. The manager and staff made the whole evening an exceptional experience. Facility 5 - clean, neat, plenty of space, tables and booths available, cloth napkins, adequate parking in front lot Location 5 star -easy to find in a busy shopping area, We will plan to return when we are in town again."
"This Indian restaurant offers delicious food and a lunch buffet that looks amazing. Although I could only try one item from the buffet, my husband said everything on it was delicious. Instead, I ordered the garden vegetable and mango dish from the menu, which was incredibly tasty and perfectly spiced. The service was excellent, with frequent water refills and quick plate clearing. The restaurant is nicely decorated in an Indian style, and the music added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The only downside was the challenging parking in front, but there might be more parking available at the back. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for its tasty food and great service."

"Loved this restaurant! The service was quick and the food was great. I would highly recommend going here. I loved the large selection of items to choose from, not just your standard butter chicken and tikka masala. Honestly, the tikka masala was my least favorite. I loved the green chili chicken (can't remember the name of the dish) and the mango chicken. Would recommend sharing the mango chicken and pairing it with another savory dish because it was quite sweet. The chili chicken was cooked perfectly. Spice level here is on par with the culture. If you don't like things hot, get the mild. Medium was great for me because I like some spicy, but anything more than that would have been too much I think. Their chutneys were great too. 10/10 would recommend."
"The food was really good!! Especially enjoyed the okra dish. I feel like anything here would be good.. loved the butter naan as well. We got there right at 5pm when they opened & they quickly got slammed. The restaurant was packed. I'm guessing because it was on the Yelp Too 100 a lot of people are wanting to check it out now. So while we did get seated immediately we did wait on our food awhile so go when u have time."
"I finally got to introduce my boyfriend to Indian food! This was just the place. It was busy the whole time we were there (weeknight), both at the tables and with people grabbing to-go orders. The Chai was hot (really hot-we both added ice from our water), but once it cooled down was very good. It was served light, so either they added some kind of creamer or used a powder mix, but it wasn't sweet so that was good. They brought out sugar with it to add your own sweetness. Veggie Samosas - we had to get these, and I'm glad we did! They were really good, had nice flavor, and the sauces were great, too. He tried the Butter Chicken - it was mild and he liked it though even mild he thought was right on the cusp of being spicy (we had different opinions on that - I thought it was definitely mild) but we both really liked it. It reminded me of an Indian vodka sauce, maybe? Very rich and really filling.I had the Navataran Koorma (Veggie curry) and that was lovely. Mine was medium heat and that's about where I'm good; it still has all the flavor and it takes a few minutes for my nose to realize what's happening hahaGarlic Naan was amazing, and we got some butter naan to go. (FYI-It reheated well in our air fryer!)"
"We went for a much needed special lunch. The food was very tasty. It was bursting with flavor and not overly hot. The service was good. They filled our water and the food was fast. The bread appetizer was delicious. It was great to go into an air conditioned place. Well decorated too. I'm not sure about parking because we walked over. We brought our leftovers home and I can't wait until tomorrow to eat them."
"Easily the best Indian restaurant closest to Hendersonville that I have tried. The menu had some hilarious misspellings, but they unfortunately scratched them out in the menus we had the last time. It was always fun to see them Service is always great. They are super friendly and attentive. Always willing to give a suggestion.Garlic Naan: I cannot order enough. I'm addicted and you will be too!Chicken Tikka Masala: So good. The portion is always huge, easy to share. I won't share but maybe you are a better person than I am. I always get it mild and they actually keep it mild. The dish is so flavorful and perfectly balanced.I honestly should eat here more often. Definitely give this place a try!"
"Highly, HIGHLY recommend Tandoor Indian Restaurant if you're looking for tasty Indian cuisine in the area!My family and I arrived early and waited for them to open for dinner service. Surprisingly there was another family that were seated before us even though we only arrived maybe 5-10 minutes after they opened. That was a good sign to me that maybe they're a decent spot. Our server (forgot his name) was very attentive and made sure to come and check on us often. Although, I will say it was a little difficult to understand what he was saying at times since he had a thick accent. But we managed. The food was definitely 5 star for us. My husband and I ordered the vegetable samosas, chicken tiki masala and garlic naan to share for our dinner. Everything was delicious and piping hot from the kitchen. We got medium spice on our curry and it had just the right amount of kick to it.The only negative I will mention is that it was pretty warm in the restaurant. But that may be because we arrived almost right as they opened so maybe the AC was still kicking in. Other than that everything else during our experience, food and service, was five star! Will definitely be back for more!"
"These samosas here are fire! Sadly that's all I got during my visit, but I can guarantee you if you buy a few of these crispy flavor pillows you'll be in snack heaven. I ordered the veggie samosas filled with potatoes, chickpeas and spices. They do offer samosas with chicken, but I decided to go veggie this time around. This location is offering both indoor and outdoor dining and to-go options as well. Plenty of parking and a friendly staff. Get here ASAP!"
"Another awesome Indian spot in the Nashville area. Tasty tucked away spot with a unique feel. Nice large variety of items without being overwhelming. The dessert case is also very bright and tempting haha. The sambusas were excellent as was the goat vindaloo. The naan was extremely soft and flaky, a wonderful companion to the saucy entree."

New Years Eve 23 and no reservations anywhere! But yu want a fantastic meal? Who cares about planning an evening and forethought? Clearly not me this year! Good thing we have House of India to the rescue! Once again - Above and beyond expectations for this gem in the Franklin / Brentwood areas.Ambiance -Traditional indian (but with Linens on the table) and a lot of traditional decorations with some light music in the background making it very quaint and comfortable.Service-Top notch - from the greeting at the door, to being seated right away, and everyone is always anting to make sure you have an amazing experience here. Food-Again, Top notch. From the appetizers and dipping sauces to the main dishes. I have the Chicken Tikka (dry) and my wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala (the sauce is to die for)....Both are excellent and favorite meals here most eery time we visit. The garlin nann is also amazing. Everything about House of India on the menu I am sure stands out...next time Butter Chicken!I also had a King Chakra beer and it was a very good lager and typically I'm only an IPA snob guy,...so theres that!Summary-GO HERE, EAT ALL THE FOOD. LOVE ITKeep Munching!!!

Bombay Palace is an iconic staple of not just good authentic Indian food in Nashville, but also phenomenal service! When dining-in, every table automatically gets a tray of condiments to complement the complimentary serving of Papadums. The menu boasts a huge variety of North Indian dishes that will satisfy even those with the most restrictive dietary needs. Pescatarians, Lacto-vegetarians, Vegans or if you have non dairy requirements can all be met easily with modifications.A dish that I've fallen in love with at Bombay Palace is known as Chicken Methi. The Methi (Fenugreek leaves) gives a distinct flavor and the creaminess makes the dish just melt in your mouth. If you prefer non cream based dishes, there are coconut cream or even cashew based curries that you can request.A meal is not complete without an order of Naan which is a type of bread that is cooked in a tandoor oven. Depending on your preferences, you could try just plain, butter, chilli or Garlic Naan which is my favorite! Bombay Palace is also known for their Lasso which is a yogurt based cooling drink to wash down the spicy dishes. Try their Mango Lassi and you can't be disappointed! Ending the meal with Gulab Jamun which are fried balls of dough soaked in a sugary solution is the perfect desert in my opinion. I must add that despite the awesome quality of food you get at Bombay Palace, it's nothing compared to the service of the wait staff! If you ever get to be served by Manish or Rinku, then you'll understand that you must bring your A-game to join in the playful banter that awaits their regular customers. You won't regret making Bombay Palace a regular pit stop. Guaranteed!

Is it fully authentic? Nope. Do I still love it? Absolutely! The weekend lunch buffet at Taj is hands down one of my favorite comfort meals in Nashville. 11-2:30 pm Saturday and Sunday, $13 of (primarily) Americanized Indian food. The new Taj location is a dream: plentiful parking, beautiful spacious interior that means even when they are slammed, they probably have an extra free table.I tend to go on the earlier side of lunch for less of a crowd, and they always seat us quickly and have plenty of options for the pure vegetarian or meat adventurous. My favorites on the buffet items are typically their off-menu items that seem to only appear at the buffet: the mushroom Manchurian, moong dal, and any vegetarian palya have been consistent favorites. I can also never resist the chicken 65 or butter chicken. They add so much unnecessary red dye to their meat items but they are still so addictively tasty. Service can be hit or miss here; sometimes (even if not busy) it's the end of my meal before I see my plate of fresh naan but when serving a dining room this large, I think some of that is to be expected. Please plan to need at least a two hour nap after your meal - but it's all well worth it.

Wow, what an unexpected gem in Nashville! My friend and I stopped by Sindoore on our way out. This place is close to the airport. When I think about Nashville, I don't think about Indian food. However, the heart wants what the heart wants - so it led us here. Service was great. Owners respected the fact that my friend has a service animal even though I think one of their staff members initially was a bit hesitant to let us in, understandably. The restaurant wasn't that crowded during the time that we went which was the early afternoon. Service was quick and professional. Everything looks inside like a standard indian restaurant would look anywhere else in the states. We both ordered the same thing - some type of lunch special or thali. All foods packed a flavorful punch and was the right amount of portion in total for both of us. We will be back if we're ever in town. Thank you for a great pre-flight lunch!

My favorite Indian place in Mount Juliet. My go to is the goat Vindaloo and a mango lassi. Literally the best mango lassi in all of the land. Lol maybe not, but it's very good. The mango flavor really comes through. Service is always very consistently good. Plenty of parking in the strip.

Take out: I called on Sunday to place an order for takeout and I was hella impressed! - food was ready exactly on their estimated time. It was waiting for me when I walked in. - food was so tasty! I ordered lamb curry and lamb fraziee and they were both amazing! You choose the heat from 1-10 and 7 had a good kick! - tip: if you call in and order/pick up prices will be about $5 less per entree compared to ordering on a delivery app.

Sorry I didn't take any pictures. I really wanted to try something new for dinner tonight, so I thought, why not try something you've never had. I read the reviews, did some research online, and decided this was what I wanted. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I ordered delivery through Grubhub, and I live on the edge of Hendersonville and Gallatin. The food was packaged wonderfully. No spills and my food was still hot when it got here. I started with the vegetable samosa. It came with the yogurt dressing and some tamarind sauce. Both were delicious. I've never had tamarind before. Let me tell you, the sauce was so amazing that I could've just drank it all by itself.I also got the papadum with onion chutney, green chutney, and sweet tamarind chutney. It was all yummy, but in my opinion, the papadum is so delicious on its own that the chutneys are just a bonus.I got the butter Naan. It was good but not buttery at all. It was the perfect vessel to dip into my curry.Lastly, I got the goat curry. Hear me out. You never know until you try, and everything I read online it is similar to lamb. I love lamb, so it's a night of new I got the goat. Super tender, rich, delicious, and held up to the curry sauce perfectly. I highly recommend you give the goat a try, you won't regret it. The meal came with rice. It was fluffy, light, and delicious. The only thing I actually ate all of was the samosas. I have so much food left that I'll get at least 2 more meals out of it. The spice level was manageable. My lips did burn a little after I finished, but it was worth it. I'll need an extra prilosec tonight, but I will gladly order again and try more of this amazing food. I drive by here on my way home 4 nights a week. I just might need to stop in and eat there. I have nothing to compare this to other than the fact that it's just darn good food, and you really should give them a try.

Solid Indian restaurant with quick, friendly service. It's on the small side but numerous booth and tables and can handle larger family groups. The naan is the superstar here--the garlic with a side of mango chutney is recommended. Entrees are plentiful and spiced to order. My chicken vindaloo was impressive--really well prepared; the chicken and potatoes were very tender and the sauce was robust. The saag dishes are also recommended. Beer and wine available. nestled in a shopping center with plenty of parking, the place is comfy and unpretentious. Take out is available and popular.

"This is a South Indian restaurant that offers an extensive menu. Signage stated that the owners were opening up a fast food and ice cream place as well. For anyone new to the cuisine, it's not hard to find something satisfying. For someone who does know what they're getting, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better Indian place in Tennessee than this. While nothing fancy, the strip mall location was well decorated and had plenty of seating and plenty of people working there.Spoiled for choice, I went with a mulligatawny soup (the name means something like "pepper water") which was a proper soup with ample lentils, a rich savory flavor, and a bit of rice and some fresh garnishes on top to make every bite interesting. My chikoo milkshake (some sort of melon I think) was addictive. The main dish I ordered-chole bhatura-was actually a slight disappointment as the bhatura can be a giant fried bread that puffs up and looks like about half a basketball, but here they gave me a bunch of little ones. While less impressive to look at, they delivered on taste, with a vigorous tomato-onion chickpea curry clashing beautifully with the fresh bread. It took time to cook these things, but it was nothing crazy and the freshness was worth the wait.I would note that while they had vegan items marked, the dosai are apparently not among them (butter I assume), but for those who can eat them, they're likely impressive."
"Good Food, Moderately priced. We were just in the area craving for some indian food and ran into Curry House, and we are definitely satisfied with the service."
"The food is out of this world, so good! The service was fantastic and I cannot wait to go back. They have so many items on the menu. I'm telling all my friends about this place. Almost everything we got had a spicy kick to it, so I recommend trying one of their delicious milkshakes to pair with your meal to help cut the heat. You have to try one of their pizzas, they are a yummy take on Indian food all packed into a personal pie. If you're stumped on what to get, you can always ask since the staff is great at making recommendations based on your tastes. The shop is a quiet place with parking in the back. This is a great place to check out with friends or a date."
"I had some wonderful meals in Nashville, and this one might have been the best, or at least tied for it (seriously, Nashville, y'all crushed it on the food front)! Top end Indian cuisine served in a modern yet comfortable atmosphere, and service that could not have been more pleasant and prompt without being overbearing. Nailed it!I came for lunch with this place highly recommended by Nashville's Yelp community manager, and that was an excellent decision. First, an appetizer of pani puri, which is one of my new favorite interactive apps. This came with 6 crunchy pastries to fill, and 3 juices to do it with, all delicious and interactive. At lunch, they offer an all you can eat thali platter, and wow... this is my new favorite way to eat Indian food, even above a buffet as it is a little more sanitary and you consistently are getting fresh food. For those unfamiliar, a thali platter is like Indian tapas. You get a little bit of a variety of things, and who doesn't like that? The offerings vary daily on chef's selection. While we were there, it had three proteins (a vegetarian thali is available), chicken 65, butter chicken, and a sweet chili chicken of some kind. All wonderful on both texture and taste, I particularly liked the chicken served on the bone. You then had a selection of sides, rice, naan, and a small dessert. If you want more of anything, you have but to ask. Wow. I love it!I didn't expect to have one of my top 5 Indian experiences while I was in Nashville, but here I am! I definitely recommend Jashan to anyone for any reason, especially for a business lunch, date, or when you want to get full on fabulous food!"
"Who knew that the best pizza was right under my nose here in Brentwood! And add an Indian restaurant no less. Ordered some margarita pizza here on a whim one night. Service was fast, pizza was ready for takeout in 10 minutes, it was hot and delicious. The sauce is nice and sweet and the mozzarella and basil or high-quality. The crust is perfection. Skip Papa John's and Domino's, the best pizza in Brentwood is right here."
"This spot is high on my list of places to eat inside the Nashville Farmers Market.I went with the samosas, veggie rice, chili chicken and the chicken tikka masala. This food here is amazing and the portions are generous. The veggie rice isn't spicy at all, which I'm thankful for because the rest of the meal had some heat! The chili chicken was sooo good, I could have eaten a bucket of this stuff. Deep flavors, tender chicken and good heat without the burn. The tikka masala was a classic choice and it did have a tiny bit of heat even though the meat had zero chilis next to it on the menu. The samosas here are huge and totally worth the money. You get two for about $5 and these could easily be a meal... well maybe a shareable appetizer? These are a great vegetarian option. Looking for some good Indian food for lunch? Don't sleep on Swagruha!"
"Had been really looking forward to a first chance to try Bayleaf, and ended up a little disappointed. Chicken Tikka - the sauce had a nice flavor, and ordering spicy was a really perfect level of heat for me. But in a pretty good sized bowl there were only 3 small bites of chicken and a few pieces of onion. It was literally all sauce. Perhaps they're trying to keep prices lower. Just know when you order, you're really ordering a nicely flavored sauce to pour on some rice and naan. The Chicken 65 was fun small pieces of seasoned fried chicken. By itself, ordered medium, it was pretty bland. But tossing some of the 65 into the tikka really helped fill out the tikka, so all in all the two dishes worked out. Chicken briyani got a very good review, a huge portion that made for a big dinner and a large lunch the next day. Naan made a good addition to both the tikki and biryani. Overall we won't rush to revisit, but giving them a benefit of an extra star because they're clearly the best Indian in Spring Hill."
"Great food! Went at 5pm on a weekday and was seated fast and received food only 10 minutes after ordering. I was very satisfied with the chicken biryani, which had an entire seasoned chicken leg in it! Yum! The garlic naan was very flavorful and the butter chicken gravy was also great. Love how the interior of the restaurant looks too."
"Heard this was place was new and decided to give it a try. We went for lunch buffet on Saturday and had an amazing lunch. Every dish in the buffet was tasty and delicious. They maintained the place well and service was good. They have a small buffet but I the food was tasty. It's good that they tried to maintain the flavors and not go crazy in the items count. I hope they keep the flavors the same and maintain them well for long time. I would definitely recommend this for now. I will update the review if they loose touch but the food we had was delicious."
"Very convenient delivery and takeout services utilizing a locker pickup system for easy access and quick pickup. Plenty of parking onsite for pickup as well. The food itself was delicious! I got the butter bliss chicken bowl (pictured). It was so good with rich flavors. Will order from again!"
