"Loved this hole in the wall place. We had lunch here last August and we loved the food. We ordered four entrees for sharing and I love their lamb gyro. The owner and his assistants were very friendly and courteous. Thumbs up!"
"The building doesn't appear enticing but the aroma when you step out of your vehicle is wow!! They have about 14 items to choose from and a few specials they have on a dry erase board. They also have kids meals. The owners were very friendly and interactive. We went with 2-Grilled Chicken Platter 3-Combo Platter 8-Philly Steak Platter. All platters have rice, warm/grilled pita, and salad. Not much for the salad but everything else was super YUMMY!!! Not much space for large groups but could accommodate for a family of 10-15. Parking is also very limited with only 3 spaces in the front and about 8-10 in the back. Will absolutely add them to my list of regulars as I could eat the bread, meat and rice every day!!"
"I think that I was their first customer for the day as they were still setting up for the lunch rush when I arrived. The rice and the salads all looked so perfect!Gyro plate to go, all the way. And all the way includes pickles, hot peppers and feta cheese on top of the tomatoes and cucumbers and salad. Sure, that's fine. A huge amount of very fluffy yellow rice filled the other half of the styrofoam container and then a good pile of sliced donner piled on top with three quarters of a pita to wrap it up. Into the bag with cutlery and napkins, I was good to go.Back at the office, a very tasty meal was unwrapped and demolished. Hard to beat the price - $7.Nice work, Santorini!"
"Good late night bite off Broadway following some drinking out and about. Didn't want a hot dog, which seems to be the other option. Had a lamb gyro, which is the way it should be, with fries. Not too messy to eat, which is a plus considering you are eating on the move."
"We had food delivered for Horus last night (via Doordash), and it was delicious! We started with the Greek salad for something light and then shared the whipped feta (not so much whipped as crumbled and tossed with herbs, spices, and peppers - very delicious though!) and the fasoulya (a bean soup/stew) for starters (the fasoulya had good flavor, but I thought the beans could have been more tender - not our favorite bite of food). Then we shared the pastitsio (on their menu as bechamel beef). If you've never had pastitsio, imagine a cross between moussaka and lasagna - pasta, ground meat (in this case beef), bechamel sauce, cheese. Horus's version was hearty and tasty and exactly what we wanted. We also shared a slice of basbousa (a semolina cake soaked in syrup). This was delicious, but it was a huge slice! (The picture on Doordash was a more traditional square piece - sometimes you also see it cut into diamonds - so we weren't expecting quite so much; we finished it though!) While we've never dined in, based on this delivery experience, I'd be happy to. And we'd be happy to order delivery or takeout from Horus again!"
"Lots of good veggies (onions, peppers, tomatoes and black olives) on the Veggie pizza but the pizza crust and sauce were bland, and there was very, very little cheese on the pizza ....making for a mediocre pizza. The delivery was quicker than quoted, thank you, but I will continue to search for a great tasting pizza."
"A new Greek spot finally opened back up in the old greek spot place near Planet Fitness and Calabria. We'd been missing our greek fix for sure and were thrilled these guys came in and took over. The folks inside are super nice guys and want you to enjoy your food and experience. If you're not familiar with what they have to offer, just ask and they'll be glad to explain everything to you.I'll say this for sure: I haven't had a ton of falafel in my life, but of those that I've had, theirs was the single best ever! Definitely a must-try if you're stopping in. The rest was very good Mediterranean fare with fresh meats, quality veggies, good salads and that must-have cool taste of the tzatziki sauce. Ya'll need to run by here and support these guys so they stick around!"
"Not very familiar with this area. I stumbled into this restaurant and have it a try. Wow... food was incredible and fresh. Their prices are so reasonable. What a great find!"
"Came here based on YELP review! I'm usually hesitant to try new places because of the unique ordering processes and I'm not your typical adventurous foodie! Anyways I came here hungry to an empty restaurant mainly because it was after lunch and the courteous gentlemen behind the counter really help me choose! The food& drink is served on polyurethane plates and cups! Which I presume is a good way to keep the prices low! The Gyro platter was heaping and delicious to say the least! The tzatziki sauce was delicious and Pita Bread was fluffy & fresh!I left there full and satisfied! Based upon my first time experience, I highly recommend this place!I hope to be back again someday soon!"
"Customer service was my first impression. So good! The food was excellent all around. It was hot, savory and plenty of it."

This was the very first place I ever had a gyros plate at. If you've seen any of my other reviews, I was not a very experimental eater before my husband, and this is no exception. Since then, we've eaten at a number of other gyros restaurants and this one still takes 1st place in my heart (and stomach). Every time my husband asks me where I want to eat, I almost always say gyros, and it's all thanks to this sweet little hole-in-the-wall, Greek Style Gyros!

This is one of the best Gyro places in Murfreesboro! The staff is friendly and the food taste amazing and it's always clean and has a great patio. They have by far one of the best ranches that is thick and creamy.

No frills Mediterranean cuisine. Cheap, does the job, and works good for a full meal or make 3 out of it. They produce hearty helpings in all orders with no shortage of rice. I made it 2 meals since for sure. Line goes by quickly and seating is available inside without issue. Only complaint is bathroom was kind of gross and soda machine is right by the order stand not allowing much room between the person getting their drink and you placing your order. Food isn't amazing, but it serves a purpose.

Tired of the same old hot chicken, Chinese, or fast food? Get your butt down to this food truck and taste one of these heavenly gyro concoctions.I've had gyros from just about all over this beautiful globe but this establishment reminds me of a new take on a NY style staple. Gyros are great, but what they provide in terms of variety must be tried.Food 10/10As I mentioned before, they offer a variety of gyro combinations that I've never tried before. The gyro fries were amazing. Fries, cheese, onions, peppers, gyro meat, tzikki and seasoning. What a combination. Not to mention the gyro quesadilla is an easy way to pack these flavors into the palm of your hand. I haven't tried the chicken gyro (yet) but it looked delicious.Service 10/10I've been here a few times, and every time the service has been stellar. I always feel like I'm talking to some old friends that I went to school with.Location 8/10Located just outside of Krogers, it's super easy to spot from the main drag. The only drawback would be that finding a close parking spot might be slightly difficult during busy hours. Value 10/10For $35, I fed 4 people and had a ton of leftovers that I can't wait to devour tomorrow. I could've gone to McDonald's and spent a little less, but the quality, freshness, and flavor are unmatched.Overall, this is a gem. I'm not even from Nashville but when I visit (once a month) I chose to eat here. The reason you haven't heard about this place is that it's a little hard to find on social media ... But I for one am ready to share the good news. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered via a delivery service. The dolma (stuffed grape leaves) are a go/no-go for me in all middle eastern restaurants. The ones at Horus are clearly house made; the rice was perfectly al dente (and not the mush that you get from canned dolmas). The falafel wrap was outstanding as well; crispy, well seasoned, and not the slightest bit oily. The gyro was a bit les successful; the meat was tasty, but had no sear (and gyro meat needs a sear to achieve full flavor, IMHO). The prices were reasonable. Recommended for a delivery middle eastern lunch in Donelson.

My boyfriend and I went for the first time this weekend. While it didn't look like much from the outside, the food was amazing! The cheese was perfect. The crust was fantastic. We had a great experience there and both of us said we would drive out of our way to eat there again. Thanks for a great experience!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch because we love Greek/Turkish food.My wife ordered the Chicken Schwarms and I ordered the Lamb Gyro. You order and then stand by while it's made to your specification of fillers. I added the tabbouleh, onions, feta, olives and Tzatziki sauce. The amount of meat was overwhelming. It was packed into a deliciously fresh pita bread. It was delicious and so much to eat that I took half home for my dinner later that evening.I topped the lunch off with a Baklava which was the only disappointment of my visit. It was dry with no ooey-gooey honey dripping through my fingers.

"Very tasty overstuffed gyros, crispy seasoned fries, tons of flavorful feta, fast n friendly service by a band of Greek speaking men...So, what's not to like about this place...Yes, it is in in an old burger king restaurant in an area of town that is not the best part of Nashville...but definately not the worst. Yes, it still looks alot like an old fast food restaurant, but it is not intended to be fine dinning and it is clean. Yes, there is a varied clientele...but I think it just adds to the atmosphere. If what you are looking for is a family run Mediterranean restaurant that happens to offer a wonderful version of a greek gyros made with fresh ingredients and a good price, then this is worth a stop."
"This is a great little Mediterranean gyro shop located on Rutherford Blvd and John Bragg Hwy. I stopped in at about 10:30 in the morning because I had left the house early without eating breakfast. When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised to see some familiar faces from Opah Grill on Old Fort road next to Walmart. I learned that this is their second location. That being said, the food is wonderful and the service is top notch! I love their mixed grill and the Baba Ganoush. I could eat a bucket of that wonderful eggplant dip and be happy...especially if it was accompanied by falafel!Do yourself a favor and go check this place out, you won't be disappointed!"
"I went to Chicago Style Gyros today with a buddy from work. It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised!!! The food was wonderful! They even had Lamb shank on the menu, which I will definitely be back try try very soon. And the prices are very very very reasonable.I would say that the only downside to my experience was that they drenched my kebabs in sauce (but that was partially my fault), I should have asked them to go light or to put it on the side. Don't get me wrong, I ate every bite, but I like to look at my food not have it covered with a sauce. As a side note the cucumber sauce was wonderful and that chicken and beef kebab were excellent. The family that owns this wonderful restaurant is middle eastern (which I love) I'm thinking either Syrian or Lebanese, But didn't want to ask or make them feel uncomfortable. I just say this to celebrate the diverse ethnicities that make up the best about Nashville as a whole!!!"
"This was a one man show when I went, but he worked fast and we were served hit, fresh food.Super clean space, you could smell how clean it was!I got the chicken plate and my friend got a gyro and fries.Such generous portions, but could have used a little more flavor on the meat.Fries were amazing!!! I'd go back for those."
"In a nutshell, this is a small family business in a strip shopping hole in the wall serving up terrifically delicious gyros. Not much to look at from the outside, and not much to look at from the inside.A sea of parking spaces out front of the strip. A handful of tables close together, so it could easily get packed when busy, but they seem to do a good amount of to go business. Very friendly and efficient. Got the feeling they personally know a good number of their regulars. I can see why there are a lot of regulars. The gyro sandwich was absolutely delicious. Overflowing with a generous pile of crunchy deeply flavorful gyros meat accompanied by whatever veggies you would like. The lettuce was a little brown, but not so much that I was bothered nor tempted to pull off any pieces. Kings will be the first place I think of when I'm in the mood for a local gyro, so overlooking any little flaw in the place or the food, because a neighborhood business like this deserves all the love."
"I've been seeing this place for the last few months, I guess its moved on from Spring Hill and now parked in Lewisburg on the Nashville Hwy, not that anybody would be craving this enough to go searching for them.Nice setup where they're parked with astroturf and tables/umbrellas connecting the gyro and expresso trucks. Confusing menu, looks like they've cut back on what they were originally offering. I opted for a chicken platter mainly because I didn't see any other options that made sense. The chicken was dry, didn't detect any marinade, and my plate was loaded with rice and some kind of salad I didn't find very edible. Also brought home some Baclava... do NOT make this mistake, they were terrible. Ever see that cinnamon challenge on Youtube where you have to eat a tablespoon of cinnamon without dying? Well thats what eating these rolled up baclava fritters is like. I'm leaving an extra star up there because at least this place is different, would like to see an expanded menu though, maybe some pan fried cobra or something."
"Wow!!!! Finally, finally found a Greek restaurant and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg!! (Calling all YELPERS!)I got the Gyro plate and hubby ordered the King mix plate. Both plates were plentiful, and very fresh and outstanding taste! They are a new restaurant in the area and off to a running start. Very friendly staff. The facility is clean and well kept. (Even the bathrooms) the only thing is they may have to move to a larger place because lunch time was busy and they need more seating However, that didn't slow down any business here. Thanks Alex and Mena for making my first visit a great one!As Arnold would say ". I'll be back "!"
"After trying them for dinner one evening, we decided to host our wedding rehearsal dinner here in one of their private rooms. They had a very professional setup and service, even let us use their screen for our projector. The food is great! Love the Chicken Marino and the Parthenon dip. New York Strip is great too. Will be back"
"Driving north on 65, about 30 miles to go, singing off key to a classic Queen song, watching for the buffalo on the hill, minding my own business, when out of the blue my husband says "we need to eat something. Where do you want to go?" I'm awakened from by roadtrip coma. I shake my head trying to make a coherent statement and sentence when the inevitable "I dunno" slides right out. It's straight to Yelp. Lot's of fast food, nope. Then I spot a 4 1/2 star restaurant but we'd have to get off at the next exit. A half mile and 3 lanes to cross, we get off the exit only to be in the wrong lane. A fellow driver must have taken pity on us with our out of state plate and let us cross in front of him, making him miss the light. We get to Greek Cafe and we were the only ones there. They advertised a lunch special but, thank goodness, we only ordered gyros, they were almost too large for one person to eat. I had the lamb and beef gyro while my husband had the mixed grill shawarma. Gyro oand chicken with grilled onions and peppers. They were off the grill rather quickly and I went through the topping bar with speed. It was pretty out so we opted to eat on the patio. Both gyro were delicious and huge. I was able to get through about 3/4 of it before I reluctantly had to stop. My husband managed to finish his and the rest of mine. Better put - we didn't have an opportunity to eat again until after we checked into our air bnb in San Jose. By then we were getting a little hangry but it was also almost 10 hours since lunch. We'll make sure to build time into our travels to the airport so we can visit Greek Cafe again."
"I came by for lunch today while in town and was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu items for vegetarians. The manager (or owner) shared his opinions since it was my first time and I decided on the Veggie Platter and it was delicious! It included tabouli, lentils, rice, hummus, falafel and pita bread. The hummus was delicious so I ordered another small portion as well. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting today and will be returning when I'm back in town."
"This was one of my go to lunch places for a while before March 2020. My office is in Goodlettsville so I liked the closeness of it and you could get in and out quickly without it being too expensive. However, the past couple of visits have been longer and the prices are out of my cost range now.The food is ok, if you go while they are busy, you will have issue with the quality of the food and the time it takes to get your order. Since I only go during lunchtime, this ends up being a problem for me. I have to get out and back to the office in a short time so I need to get the food and go.The restaurant itself is clean and there is plenty of space to spread out. There is private parking and it's easy to get in and out of. I visited this past week and one lunch platter that used to be under $10 was $19 and some change. While I understand everything is getting more expensive, I have not making more money so I'll have to pass going forward until the prices go down."
"An awesome spot for food after walking the strip. I had the Gyro platter ($10) and it was delicious. It was a lot of food, too. Definitely enough for my girlfriend and I to share. The perfect late night snack. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town again."
"My boyfriend and I went to Chicago Gyros Plus at 9pm on a Saturday night. The gentleman at the counter was very kind and eager to help us! I ordered a chicken plate and he had the Philly cheesesteak hoagie sub. Everything was prepared fresh in front of us and took less than 15 min. Overall great service and the food was delicious."
"Nothing has changed since I was last here 3 years ago! The owner is still the nicest most welcoming person I've ever met and the FOOD is outstandingly!"
"Cute local restaurant with checkered table cloths and yummy homemade food. Our waitress was super sweet and everyone had a smile. Everything here is from the 90's including the massive television in the dining room. If you're in the mood for hamburger steak, fried chicken and chicken fried steak this is your place!!"
"I have not given a five-star review in quite a while but Kebab Gyros definitely earned it--the food was THAT good. The restaurant itself could use a facelift but I was there for the food and not the ambiance.I ordered 2 Chicken Plates and a side of Tabbouleh to go. After tax and 20+% tip, my total was $22 and there was a lot of food. The chicken plate comes with a huge portion of rice that was so flavorful and 3 or 4 big chunks of grilled chicken that was seasoned perfectly. No need to add your own salt, pepper or seasonings. There was a small side salad (lettuce, cheese, olives, jalapeno, tomato), pita bread and this delicious white sauce (some type of Ranch dressing base) on the side.My husband already told us that this is our new go-to for Greek chicken. I completely agree."
"Came into Gyro Cafe of Smyrna and ordered a mixed grill over salad. The service was great and the food even better. The lamb and beef was superb. And the cucumber dressing was very yummy. Wish I had another one right now...lol"
"If you need a super easy and quick meal, stop by and grab something at Kouzina. I always get the combo platter. It has good portions and you get it relatively fast if you're coming home from work and need something quickly and relatively healthy compared to fast food."
"While shopping at Cool Springs, I worked up an appetite. I took a lunch break in the food court, walking a lap past all of the food court kiosks and finally deciding on Pyramids Cafe.Pyramids Cafe offers sandwiches, salads, dinner plates, and Coke beverages. Some items on the menu include Philly steak, chicken, turkey, BBQ, gyros, falafel, tabouli, Greek salad, and more. The staff was toting their Combo Deal which is any 7" sandwich with fries, rice, or salad, and drink for $6.99.However, I decided on the Falafel Plate ($6.99) which was piled with plenty of food including 4 fried/crispy falafel patties topped with a creamy yogurt sauce, rice pilaf, tabouli and warm grilled Syrian bread. The food was pretty good and very filling. The faIafel and rice pilaf had a slightly salty taste and the tabouli was very light and fresh. The grilled Syrian bread was very warm and soft. I did save room for a refreshing healthy smoothie at the Smoothie King kiosk."
"Really good place for a gyro! The staff was amazingly friendly, the place was really clean, and the food was delicious! I got the chicken gyro and my husband got the lamb. Both were really good, and you get to choose toppings (which is cool). French fries were made to order and they had the choice of seasoned or regular. They both were really good, but I enjoyed the seasoned ones for sure! It was a good place."
