Sidra S. "I came here for the first time this morning and I believe I'm in love! I just moved here from the northeast and have been missing a good bagel. I ordered the nova bagel with lox and cream cheese on a spinach everything bagel. I was a very happy girl to say the least. The girls that work here are super sweet and helpful when ordering. I also ordered the lavender honey latte which was just delish. A little bit of the downside is the parking and the wait but honestly... its worth it."

Bailey D. "Mitchell's has quickly become our go-to lunch spot - and everything we've tried so far from their expansive menu has been incredibly tasty!I highly recommend ordering ahead online if possible ... especially on the weekend. If you do brave the dine-in line on a Saturday or a Sunday, be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes ... and you may have to quickly stake your claim on a table after ordering. The interior of the restaurant is casual and comforting, with almost a "local diner" feel to it. The outdoor patio is spacious and covered!Of the several sammies I've sampled, the Pastrami and Swiss is my favorite. I also quite liked their Turkey Brie, which is a unique take on the classic. We have yet to try any of their breakfast options ... but that's only because I always seem to be in more of a "lunch mood" when I'm ordering. I'm sure that will change one of these days."

Michelle O. "11/18/23: The reason I had to walk across a highway after breakfast.BIg Al and Miss Andrea are so personable and welcoming. He is at the grill cooking up deliciousness. She takes the orders and handles the flow of customers. My travel buddy suggested this spot I'm not a big fan of "regular breakfast items, eggs, pancakes etc so when I saw the menu had alternate items such as Porkchops and shrimps and grits I quickly called. Big Al himself picked up and stated he had one more and do I want him to hold it. Heck yes was my response.Upon arrival he asked were you the one that called I said yes he replied you look as you sound New York...lol.Folks please note it is a small establishment in the event you need to wait it will have to be outside. Once it was our turn we ordered the Porkchops...folks the "one pork chop" he saved was 3 huge pieces. It came with potatoes, eggs, and a biscuit. We also ordered the shrimp and grits with crab, biscuits with sausage gravy and cinnamon roll.Portions were huge although we shared we still each had leftovers to take. The sausage gravy for the biscuits had chunks of sausage, it was well seasoned and spicy we have like 4 biscuits. As our hotel was not far about a 10 minute walk we decided to walk instead of calling for the hotel shuttle that dropped us off. When in Nashville this a MUST but plan accordingly as its first come first serve. It's basically similar to mom and pop establishment so do not look for fine dining the cups plates etc mismatch which I think adds to the character. So happy we partaked and happy to say we dined at Big Al's."

Tim G. "This was a good find. They have a good variety of sandwiches on the menu, as well as tacos, breakfast, a number of side dish and salad options, and more. From the outside this place looks almost like it might be a dive bar. But don't be fooled! This is a good spot for a meal any time of day.So far my favorite has been The Cuban sandwich. The pork was tender and juicy, and the overall flavors were great. I've also had The Legend sandwich, which was good, though the roast beef wasn't super tender. The staff is helpful, and the food gets prepared quickly. Definitely a good place when you need a quick meal. They have tables both inside and out, and of course you can also get your food to go if you want.Overall a solid sandwich (and breakfast) spot that I'll definitely visit again."

Lindsay W. "Super cute sandwich type shop where you order at the counter and can sit inside or out. It's off the main road about 2 doors down. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and a side of pasta salad. My son enjoyed the pasta salad a lot. He just felt like he needed more of it. My sandwich was tasty but not as filling as I was hoping for the price. It came on a white style bread and had I had known, I would have asked for. Different bread option. Because the pasta salad didn't fill up my son, he took the other half of my sandwich. The chicken salad was super smooth and had small crunchy pieces of pecans. There might have been grapes too Overall it was good, just a little pricy for what I got."

Jeremy C. "I was pretty surprised about how busy it was and now good the food was! It reminded me of comfort food from Waffle House but 2 or 3 steps above that. I got the Lox, Eggs, and Onion, which is literally why it sounds like, scrambled together. The saltiness of the lox tastes really good with the eggs. It also came with silver dollar potato cakes that were homemade and crispy. I'd probably come back, to be honest"

Vincent V. "Love this late night spot for a sandwich and a drink. Super punk rock and worth experiencing if you are in the area. Pretty decent selection of beers in tap and lengthy mixed drink options. Priced like a college town. The feel is small and dark in a good cozy way. Music is always pretty on point and the staff is friendly and quick to help. They also have these epic late night hot or cold sandwiches that on first trip I thought I was just overly excited because I had two beers, but then I returned and started with a bite before beer and it exceeded my expectations. They have some really great options and quality ingredients for a bar open until 3am. This is my bookmarked spot I always stop in for."

Justin P. "Amazing sandwiches (I only had one actually, but really wish I could have tried more). I had The Poorest of Boys, and it was enough to let me know that they have mastered the panini press. The sandwich was hearty, and as someone who never looks to go out for sandwiches, had me considering driving from Arrington to Columbia again, but I didn't have time. :( The daily soup I got as a side was amazing too. Tastes very homemade, and I would be shocked if there was any significant processing behind them. Owners and all the employees were super friendly. Plenty of counter bar seating in addition to small tables and some booths. As someone visiting from California, I would consider this a must eat on my next trip."

Haley W. "Looks and tastes like a basic NYC pizza joint. Thin crust, light sauce that was a bit on the sweet side, a scattering of pepperoni, and cheese. Fast, cheap, and hot. I've eaten more than my share of NY pizza, and this place is a solid option if you're looking for a fast and cheap bite to eat!"

The fries tasted very fresh and paired well with the sauce they give you. It's a small space, so plan on taking it to go, but it's great for a quick lunch. We will be back soon!"
