Nasa Liquor Store

What a great neighborhood liquor store. The folks that run this place are really helpful and will carry special brands for the regulars. I'm glad I have this place around.

Meh... so-so liquor store. Like others (Jeremy N.), I was expecting the greatness that is the other NASA store... and it is NOT that. So from that standpoint and expectation, I get the one star. I do.But it's not a terrible liquor store. It doesn't have terrible selection, even if the selection pales vs their MUCH better store down south. They have some interesting stuff. Most prices are okay, BUT some are indeed marked up ridiculously and are totally laughable. But I'm used to seeing that in stores these days, so I tried to rate the store as a stand-alone liquor store, NOT in comparison to the mecca that is their other store. Still, ridiculous mark-up does get at least one star dinged. Service was friendly, FYI.I definitely disagree with Mike J., as I associate NASA greatness and Alex influence with the other store - but maybe this store was great back in 2016. I have no idea. I've known about the other store for years, while I only visited this one recently. It was my first and last visit, and I'll only hit the waaaaay better store to the south when it comes to NASA Liquor. My comments apply to Donna R C's review, too - I'm wondering if this location rocked back in 2016-2017? It does *not* rock now (lol), and they do not have the incredible selection described in 2016-2017. FYI...

This is not the same NASA liqour brand from the great location south on 45.This is an overpriced store that marks up bottles 5 times what they are worth and displays stuff like a trophy case.Garbage store. Don't waste your time.

Way overpriced. Marking up $60 bottles to $200. Much better stores elsewhere. Avoid unless you are comfortable paying way over retail.

Alex and his staff are above awesome.They have an excellent selection of bourbon and whiskey, some bottles that are really hard to find.They know what they are talking about, and have great suggestions.This is my #1 choice when I need to purchase alcohol.

This is THE place to go in the Houston area for tequila and mezcal. Alex is knowledgeable and can guide you in choosing something to your taste. Their service and pricing makes it worth a trip to NASA. They also carry good Japanese scotches, along with the usual good brands.
