Sorry, not sorry, but I have to bring my review back up to 5 stars. Ever since I started doing pick up and adding extra cranberry, my experience went back to 5 stars lol. I wish they would add more to the actual cranberry bog sandwich, but it is easily remedied by adding cranberry to the order. Service remains top notch! I have no idea how the staff always remain so nice when the place is always packed!! But service definitely rocks.

The room was sort of empty cos I came in for late lunch. They had old school R&B playing in the background. The place is crowded with tables if it were trying to fit everyone into the room. The food was not as good as expected. The fish was great but I have eaten better chicken at a cheaper price. The reviews about the cakes are on point. Even though they are expensive for sliced cakes I will pay for them all over again. I am sorry but I was expecting good food when in the south.

Summary: reliable eatery with over-the-top desserts and a nice outdoor seating area Details: If this seems like a New England style restaurant, it should -- that's what the owners are going for. Clam chowdah, lobstah rolls, and strip steaks are all on the menu. Summary of 4 or 5 visits:Bacon Cheeseburger: comes with jack and decent amount of bacon. We've had it both with fries and apple coleslaw. Both are quite good -- maybe a tad too much mayo in the slaw. If you're gf, you can order it bunless.Steak Burger: Grilled pieces of marinated steak, mushrooms, onions and melted pepper jack on ciabatta. Didn't work for me. Meat was a little too chewy and the bun tasted a little stale. The only thing I've ever ordered that I didn't like. Blackened Salmon Salad: a solid choice with a large salad and a generous amount of salmon. No skimping on the ingredients. BBQ Chicken Sandwich: eh. It's fine. Not great but not bad. Grilled Salmon: comes with a generous portion of mashed potatoes and asparagus. Default version is grilled but they will give a blackened version if you ask. Always been nicely cooked, not overdone and not too rare.There's a full bar with a decent selection of draft beers. The wait staff have always been helpful and patient when one diner isn't sure what to order.One word review: reliable

Good place to grab food, drink, and of course their famous CAKES!Most recently I visited with my mother for an early dinner. This location is situated in a shopping center with other businesses. There is parking all throughout the area. We were sat and greeted quickly. My mom ordered the full rack of ribs with a baked sweet potato and I ordered the Seafood Scallop Kabob. Both were very good! I'm not a big fan of ribs, but I did try one of my mom's and it was tender and flavorful. My scallops were delicious! They were cooked perfectly! It's hard to get scallops just right because they can easily burn or become rubbery, but these were so tender and well-cooked. They were also some of the biggest scallops I've seen. Although I did not get a slice of cake this visit, I have had their cakes and this is what Nantucket is known for...and for good reason. When you walk in the baked goods are on display and very tempting. You can also order speciality cakes as well. I recommend coming here if you're in the area. There's also a location in Raleigh and Chapel Hill as well. Make sure to leave room for cake or get a slice to go!

Came here for dinner the other night and it did not disappoint! Inside ambiance is very homey and buzzing. There is a huge dessert counter in the front of the restaurant, where you can see all their amazing cakes being displayed. We were seated quickly. Our waiter (Miguel) was very kind and constantly checked on us and made sure we had a great dining experience. I ordered the blackened salmon salad. It came with a perfectly cooked filet of blackened salmon on a big bed of greens with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette. I love the little bits and pieces of nuts and cranberries in the salad. The dressing paired with the greens very well, although it was a little too much dressing. Another thing I noticed was that the cheese used in the salad was not feta as described on the menu, which was a little disappointing. My friend, and I also ordered the crab dip that came with pita wedges. The dip came out, hot and bubbly, and it was absolutely delicious, appropriately cheesy with chunks of crab in it.. For dessert we ended up ordering a strawberry cream shortcake. The cake was absolutely delicious, not too sweet, the berries were super fresh, and the cream was light and airy and cake portion was nice and spongy without being too dense. I can see why their cakes are so popular now. I think this is a solid place to grab food, even better for dessert. If you find yourself in the area, please come here and check them out!

I came in about 20 minutes before close as I had been at an event earlier. I usually think the food isn't as great at night that late, but Nantucket nailed it! The shrimp and crab dip were so good. It was pretty busy, but not loud. They had run out of nearly every dessert (Valentine's Day win for them!) and the staff all seemed really happy. I had a great experience.
