Conveniently located inside the supermarket. Somewhat of a hidden gem since I was not expecting the soups to be this good. Ordered the #12 and it was fantastic. The broth was full of flavors. Noodles were cooked perfectly. I didn't care for some of the (I believe) livers but did enjoy the beef and the shrimps (you get only two). If you do order the number #12 I suggest ordering a side of fried dough to dip and eat with the soup. Service was okay, even though the lady (she's been mentioned her before) got the incorrect order. No biggie though as they brought out the correct dish. Only reason complaint is that the tea cup that they gave me was dirty (had bits of dried up tea leaves inside the cup), but as some say, the dirtier the place the more flavors/know it's gonna be good. Overall ambiance was nothing special. It looks like your typical pho spot. Great food though, would recommend based on that.

My first review in which I complained that I couldn't get bun bo hue anymore failed to express that in fact Nam Vang does turn out some absolutely delicious soups and noodle bowls, and the banh mi are great too.

I used to love coming here during my days off of work with my daughters. I would usually order the Egg Noodle Nam Vang (which is all pork) and my girls usually order the dried seafood egg noodle with soup on the side. It's a hole in the wall establishment but the food are usually delicious so i can brush it aside. Recently, I went there with my daughter for lunch. I ordered my usual. The server, an older women with a mean looking face, usually greets me. This time, she was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I told her what I wanted and she said to me, "No, you get the seafood one. If not, all you'll get is the pork." I told her I wanted the pork but she insisted I wanted otherwise. After we got our food, I told her our order was wrong. She even argued with me into saying that's what I ordered and gave me a "Thank you!"I just switched the toppings with my daughter to avoid confrontation. I was not happy with the service and her attitude. Will not return.

The only thing I order from here is the congee with fried bread. It's a go to item if you're sick or hungover. Comfort food. The service here is mostly horrendous and I usually would skip this place if Cafe Saigon down the street is open. That's the reason I'm only giving this place 3 stars. Service could be much better. Plus side... there's plenty of parking and it's located within an asian market so if you wanna get some groceries then it's a one stop shop.

If you love noodle soup this place is a must try. Portions of the food or excellent. The broth is very flavorful. It's a great place to have a quick lunch breakfast or dinner.

Hidden away in a Chinese supermarket, it's a bit hard to find, but no it's pretty good.I ordered the broken rice with crab patty, bbq pork, on broken rice and an iced Vietnamese coffee. Both took a bit longer than expected to come out, even at 3 pm and only 1 other table occupied. I guess they make everything as ordered, so can't fault that.Broken rice dish was okay. Pork was bbq'd well, but too fatty. Everything else was fine, but there was no egg on top. I'm not sure if this has it on the menu, but elsewhere it usually has a pan fried egg.Iced coffee came pre mixed in a styrofoam cup with ice. It was okay, but I usually prefer the places that being the slow drip out for you and you can mix it fresh with ice.All in all, not the greatest, but not bad if you are doing some food shopping and have time to spare.

BEWARE OF "FLEXIBLE" PRICING!!!! It's not a fancy place but seemed authentic, so we gave it a try. The food is fine. Noodles are good. Bahn Mi is tasty BUT they blatantly overcharge! The price on the menu isn't the price they ring up when you go to pay (about 20-30% higher for each of our items). When I realized the math was wrong and returned to the cashier to question the charges, the owner/cashier lady claimed that the prices had changed and then whipped out a laminated menu supposedly with higher prices. I didn't bother to look and wasn't going to make a scene. But that doesn't mean I won't call them out! It's just plain wrong!Even if it's an honest price increase because of inflation and they don't want to reprint the paper menus, then they have an obligation to tell you when they give you the menus that the printed prices are WRONG and are in fact much higher. But is that what really happened here? Or do they simply practice "flexible pricing" - price as you go depending on the customer? What do you think? If you should decide to try out the place, just make sure you confirm the prices before you order. Good luck!

A wonderful family own restaurant that is right inside of the supermarket. This restaurant has been a local staple for over 20 years. They specialize in local Penang dishes. Their most know for their Hu Tieu Nam Vam. The dish was flavorful with pork, shrimp, squid, liver, and kidney all of which are thinly sliced. The dish is served with fry with sauce or wet with a broth.
