Naked Iguana Brewery

Visited Naked Iguana Brewery for the first time yesterday. We really liked it. The atmosphere was chill and the beers we tried were very, very good. There's free popcorn, decent music (and in June they'll have live music), and it's dog friendly, probably iguana friendly too! If you're hungry for more than popcorn, Coastal Grill is right across the street. My takeaway -- check this place out. You're probably going to like it a lot.

Full disclosure, this is my friend's business. However, I want to give an accurate and truthful review. I owe it to my friend and you Yelpers. The Naked Iguana Brewery (NIB) is new and hasn't had the Grand Opening to the public. I saw it before the renovations and updates that turned it into the new and up and coming place it is now. My friends, the owners Richard and Tracy, have really put in the sweat equity to transform the space into a fantastic brewery and place to spend time with friends and family. Richard has definitely honed his beer making skills. I am not a beer aficionado; however, I know a quality beer when I taste it and the NIB has some excellent beer on tapThe wife and I went to the founders (Investors) appreciation gathering on 11/25/2023. What a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the custom beer menu selections, spend time with friends, or just relax after strolling on the Strand. You can sit at the L-shaped bar, table, high top table, booth, or in a couple comfy areas for a more intimate setting. If you're not into beer, theres' other options for you too, like wine and canned cocktails. What a fresh new space! I love it. The only humbly suggested improvements would be low background music appropriate for the audience and reduced lighting in the chic pendants over the booths. Other than those minor adjustments I thought they hit every element of a successful business startup. Thank you Richard and Tracy for following your dreams and bringing us along. Great new addition to the downtown Galveston Strand district. Super friendly folks behind the bar serving up ice cold amazing beer and seltzers brewed locally right here in GTX. Beer is great, and the food delivery from the place right across the street is an awesome convenience also. Definitely going to be one of my go to spots in Galveston. Cheers

What a great place and interesting layout. Beer is just incredible. Plus you can order food from Coastal Grill. They will bring your order across the street and deliver your order to your table. Incredible owners and provide a special touch on the place. And yes they also have wine.

A "beer snob's" paradise! Something for every palate! Amazing setting...you can tell the ambiance was well thought out. Every detail perfect for enjoying some truly great libations!! The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to spend time talking about their offerings and letting you try samples outside of your normal taste preference! Will be back as often as possible! Must stop while on the Island. You won't regret it!!

The Naked Iguana is such a great place to hang out and have a fantastic beer. They have a wide selection so even if you don't like beer there are some awesome seltzer selections. We can't wait to try their other beers.

This is one of the newest drinking spots on the Strand and if you're a fan of good craft beer, this should be one of your destination points. As someone who's worked in the craft beer business for 30 years, I can tell you these craft beers are actually on point. Their IPAs are solid, their Scottish ale was good and their brown ale is one of the best I've ever had. I do recommend starting out with a flight of four of their beers for just a mere $10. If you're not in to beer, they do have a significant wine list as well which is fairly affordable. As for the interior of the place, there are 20 seats at the bar, three 8 top tables, five booths and two cozy corners. There are also 5 flats screens, a popcorn machine, a dartboard, and a shuffleboard. It does have a clean industrial modern feel to it, but it does have two intimate corners for families or friends. They also have a table in the back where you can choose from a number of boardgames to play. The only downside to this place is that parking can be problematic, especially during tourist season and they do not serve food of any kind. They remedy the food situation by having a menu from a restaurant called Coastal Grill which is directly across the street and they will gladly deliver to the bar. And before I forget, the place is dog friendly and you won't be hit with the tip screen when they run your card.

Absolutely, it's a great vibe and greater beer. Friendly staff and a wide selection of excellent beers to choose from, a must go to if you're in Galveston
