This is for the food only. I only ordered takeout. Tempura no good tempura sauce no good. Thick and soggy sauce tasted like straight soy sauce.Sashimi roll, the cucumber was cut horribly The role was wrapped in the cucumber skin instead of the cucumber. The veggie in the roll was bad. Beef negimaki was tough and tastes like burnt lighter fuel. I couldn't enjoy any of the food I ordered it was prepared horribly and taste was awful.

Ok, we went here for my birthday dinner. We didn't know they have hibachi, so we booked a regular table and we had sushi, which was fabulous anyway so we didn't mind at all.It was easy to get a reservation on the same day, they valet parked for free. Although we did tip the valet, they didn't seem to expect it. The inside was very classy and serene. You almost feel transported to Japan. The server was sweet and helpful. They had a separate menu for fresh fish flown in from Japan. I was excited about that. I had the miso soup, it was fabulous, followed by yellowtail nigiris which were fresh as can be. We also had edamame which was really good. We then had some yellowtail sashimi and shumai. It was hard to decide which was better. The sashimi was fresh and buttery. The shumai burst with flavors and was decadent. For Mains, I had the lamb chops which were the chefs specials and my husband got the samurai roll. Both were exceptionally delicious. The lamb chops came with some very umami rich exotic shrooms sautéed. The lamb was medium cooked as I like it that way and it was perfection. Everything was fantastic!!! We clicked a lot of photos in the Photo Booth for memory. Can't wait to revisit with friends and family!!

This is for the tempura udon soup, and the tempura udon soup only. I ordered it to go because sad girls like to eat soup. Order was prepared super quickly, and I really appreciate how they separate the noodles from the tempura and then the broth in its own container so everything maintains its proper texture. Is it the best udon I've ever had? No. But it hit the spot, the portion is just right, and it was executed well. Would def order again.

Came for dinner on a weekend and it wasn't too busy. I did not like the valet concept of this place. It felt useless because the spots were right there ! It was pretty slow and felt redundant to wait to drop off the car and wait to get it back. The service was very nice and friendly though. The food was pretty good but the portions were pretty small. I did enjoy the sashimi as it wasn't too thin. There were a lot of fruit flies or bugs near the table though, and it felt annoying to eat and swat them away.

This review is for take away/ delivery so perhaps the in-person dining experience is different. But we had our food delivered and it was over cooked and cold. We ordered the bento box and soft shell crab tempura. For the price point, we expected a lot more variety from the bento and better quality with the ingredients. Overall, left quite a lot lacking.

I loved the food I ordered, and the service was excellent!! The ankimo salad was my favorite, and it was my first time to try monkfish liver. Everything was presented beautifully. I also got the salad trio which was perfect and beautiful as well. The flavors were delightful. I also got the wagyu and red bell pepper, there was a touch of asparagus and a type of squash and piece of eggplant to go with it. Both the service and the food has me coming back for more ! The interior is also clean and nice !

We have visited this NJR a couple of times. The space is clean and welcoming. The servers are pretty attentive. This last visit, the soup was off, like no taste...warm water. Maybe an off night? The cooks give a good show, and are open to the specific requests we ask for our protein (lemon, butter) We also have ordered sushi and rolls here, and they are pretty good!. It's become our go to for hibachi, as the service is more consistent than not. Hopefully the soup won't be an issue next visit.

We came here for a birthday dinner for my boyfriend. We were a large group party, and he loves hibachi. I have to say it was a very disappointing choice for a special occasion. We must have had the worst hibachi chef that night. He literally did not acknowlege anyone, didn't even say one word, so forget trying to flip a shrimp in someone's mouth. I chose hibachi, because I thought it would be entertaining for everyone, and this experience fell flat. Our server was great, and there were tons of birthday parties that night, but I wonder if other tables had better experiences. I was very upset that this dinner for a big event like this turned out to be such a disappointment for us and especially the birthday boy. The food itself was okay, pretty standard, but it was the experience I was looking for, and sadly did not receive. I am surprised the reviews are pretty good here, as I found our experience less than amazing. For "okay" food, and the poor chef, I'd never come back.
