Quaint and chill. It really reminds me of my Granny's house on a Sunday. You order up front and then you can sit wherever you want. Everything I've tried is delicious. My favorite thing to order is the 2pc fish and grit combo with cheese (in my eggs and grits) w a salmon croquettes on the side. Y'all I can't explain how bomb and simple it is, and the sweet tea or basil lemonade is a must. The basil in the lemonade can be a bit strong but it is very good. And prices are very reasonable. I could just sit there and chill all day. I'll def be back soon

This was the most unexpected surprise. The food was perfect and I'll get into that, but I want to start by talking about Mrs. Maple who came from behind the counter to talk to and my girlfriend. She is the sweetest 83 year old and was insistent that I was a singer. She came to check on us twice during our meal and told us that she made the biscuits. Y'all. This was one of the best biscuits I've ever had in my life. This place was already 5 stars before she came over, but she made our meal even better. Love the salmon croquettes. Perfectly crispy on the outside. The scrambled eggs with were amazing. This food tastes like it came straight out of a loving grandma's kitchen. It's a great place to work too, they play music in the background but not too loud. Coffee was great. I had a vanilla latte and loved it. Not too sweet, not bitter or burnt.

I ordered a piece of whiting, chicken and egg biscuit, hash browns, and Basil Lemonade. Everything was so good and the basil lemonade is absolutely amazing!Try this place out.

The order system requires payment when you order and asks for a "pre-tip" too. I don't think so. This a low budget joint with high budget prices. I felt like having a glass of lemonade but $7 is gouging. We drove so far we were too hungry to drive around hunting brunch elsewhere so we ordered the "Mr. Otis" which is eggs scrambled with cheese, turkey bacon, pancakes and water. We sat after searching for the least objectional table. The seating looks as if they got it from Goodwill. I take that back, Goodwill would be offended. I uploaded a picture in case you think I'm being harsh. There may have been one whole egg on my plate but certainly not two and it was so yellow I suspect that another customer got the egg whites and so mine may have been two yokes. The syrup for my pancakes came in those little tear off tubs the size of my thumb and they served me one for each pancake. I was so disappointed and glad I decided to leave a cash tip on the table instead of a pre-tip after experiencing the poor service. I left a nickel, no worries we will never return.

I fell in love with my coffee shop at Eastlake, not because of the food, but because of Miss Mabel who works there. She is the sweetest lady I have met in ages and she had me grinning from ear to ear. That being said my coffee shop is a small establishment. When you enter, it's very friendly, and they welcome you to come to the counter and order and then you seat yourself and your order is brought to you. The food was good, it reminds you of what your grandmother cooks on a Saturday morning when you were a child. I had the salmon croquet breakfast that came with egg scrambled with cheese, grits and toast. The grits were a bit thick and under seasoned, and the eggs were perfect. The salmon croquettes were a bit overworked, but still tasted really good. But the best part of the meal was the AMAZING basil lemonade (it said so on the cup). It sounds odd, and if you don't like basil, this drink is not for you. However, I love basil, and when this bright green lemonade came out, I knew I had found my spirit animal. It is wonderfully basil-y and I loved it! Granted, the lemonade is super sweet, so I ended up taking it home and mixing it half water/half lemonade, but that wasn't a problem for me because that mean I got twice as much! I would definitely recommend visiting my coffee shop and checking out not only the food, but the great people that work there and make sure you say hello to Miss Maple!

Very different from what I remember a few years ago. When you walk in now, there wasn't an immediate greeting and I was a little confused. Should I sit down for dine in or order first? Well you order first and grab a table if you're dining in, they have high tops, low tables, and two swing seats at the bar. A really good selection of breakfast items, and coffee. This is family owned, woman owned, and a black business....kudos to them for staying strong. So good to see they're still here after the pandemic. Food tasted like a home cooked meal, one that I could prepare at home. Fish wasn't very flavorful. Grits on fire!! Eggs, small portion but seasoned well. Free parking behind building.

I came here before a meeting that I was attending nearby, and was hoping to grab a quick bite to eat. It's a very warm and cozy spot, with a family feel. Parking is easy, there is a decent sized lot in the rear. You order at the counter and then you can either get it to go or to sit down. I got the iced caramello (iced coffee) which was super tasty! I'm taking away a star because it took almost 40 minutes for my simple bacon/eggs/cheese croissant to come out--while it was delicious, I don't know why it took so long. Luckily, I had a book. I want to try this place again, hopefully the wait for the food is not as long.

I've been twice and I will return soon! Location and Parking My Coffee Shop is located in Eastlake right before the Decatur border. Parking is free and located next to the building. Venue and Atmosphere The decor is "earthy" with different shades of green and brown. Coffee is served in ceramic mugs and you order at the counter as you walk in. You then take a seat and the waitstaff will bring your orders to your table. Service The entire staff was very nice and our food arrived quickly. Food and Beverages The salmon croquettes were fried perfectly, and I topped them off with some hot sauce. Their eggs are extra buttery and are some of the best I've had in a restaurant. Their toast is also buttered and toasted to perfection while the grits were creamy and cheesy. I love the basil lemonade; I get the large size every time I go. I cannot speak to the quality of their coffee, as I'm not a big coffee drinker. Verdict I will certainly be back next time I'm in the area!
