Outstanding: Service, People, & Food. Local bar vibes, bistro quality cuisine.Did not charge me $3.50 for Soda Water out of the soda gun like most places in this area.

A total hidden gem in Philly! We were very impressed by the delicious pasta dishes in this random Irish bar. Cash only was a bit of a bummer, especially since I had issues with the ATM. I also was disappointed by the QR-code menus since the restaurant acknowledged the internet reception was especially bad. Some of us were unable to load menus. The food, though, was awesome! Super fresh burrata, perfectly cooked pastas, rich cream sauces, scrumptious seafood... it was just a delight!

Irish pub serving fresh Italian dishes!10/10 would recommend! On the outside this is your typical Philly dive bar, very small but if you can snag a seat at the bar or a table in this establishment it'll be well worth it. I recommend getting there before 7pm for dinner. The few times that I have been (week day & weekend ) they have stopped seating around 7:30 PM & they do not take reservations. Pasta is freshly made & so tasty! Haven't had a dish here that I didn't like.If you're local to this area or visiting I highly recommend Murphs Irish Pub for some Italian food! I mean.. is this not the most Philly thing you ever heard of! Give them a try!

"Italian Food Irish Bar" That's how Murph's was described by my friend and I had to check it out!Murph's is everything that you want. It has quality Italian food for inexpensive prices along with your favorite selections of beer. I was very impressed with the tagliatelle with filet. I did not expect the pasta to be so flavorful! The truffle pairs nicely with the cream and it doesn't taste too fatty. The meat is perfectly cooked too. The meatballs and fried Burrata was delicious! Their tomato sauce is nice and acidic which pairs well with the Burrata and meatball. It provides a casual vibe as well! They provide outdoor seating which is really nice as the weather warms up. Their service is good too! I need to swing back here soon! This is one of the better Italian places in Philly!

This homey and no frills bar/restaurant absolutely surprised me!! You can sit either at the bar, two top high chair tables, or their regular tables. They also have an outdoor area in the back!! Their kitchen sometimes doesn't open until 1pm, but their bar is open anytime! The food was absolutely delicious!! The fried burrata was perfectly crispy on the outside and so creamy, juicy, and just purely delightful inside. It was topped with a marinara sauce, which added a perfect freshness to the dish. A must get!! We ordered 2 pastas - seafood manicotti, and pear and cheese fiochetti. Both were delicious, though the latter is not my personal cup of tea... a bit too sweet. Can't go wrong with any of their pastas though!!

This bar was absolutely a place to stay away from if from outside Philly. No one served us for over 10 mins. Zero contact. We left without anyone saying anything.

This place truly lives up to the hype! The wait time was spot on, just as the host estimated. I ordered the Pear & Cheese Fiocchi, and it was outstanding. The texture was perfect, with the soft crunch of pear pieces enveloped in creamy goodness--perfectly sweet but not overly so. The Involtini Di Melanzane was a standout, curing my craving for a great eggplant dish. The staff were nice, offering excellent suggestions on both food and drink. Highly recommended!

Received this place as a recommendation and had serious reservations (looking through the reviews this is not an uncommon feeling), as it's vibe is very much Irish pub, not great Italian food. I was taken aback but how good the food ended up being.Showed up at 1230 and were the first customers- no reservations and the place did fill up quite a bit. They don't take food orders until 1. It seems like everyone ordered the fried burrata, and it's not hard to understand why. Went with the lobster ravioli, which was truly incredible. Also went with a red sauce dish (gargenelli with pork cheek)-the pasta was on the al dente side which surprised me and this was good too but was certainly the lesser of the two dishes. There was bread eventually, but as there was one bartender and one bar back for the whole place, this was a little later in the meal. It's cash only but there is an ATM inside. overall, the prices are fair. Drinks are fairly cheap at ~$10 each. Overall, quite a surprising meal and really quite delicious.

I was told by a local that this Irish bar has the best Italian food ever. Strange. But who I am I to test fate? So I go. I get a table right away on a Saturday (which apparently was rare but that's the power of dining alone!) and I order. I get the eggplant appetizer, the pasta with eggplant and cherry tomatoes and a glass of Chianti, ofc. The pasta was freshly made and so delicate and delicious. The veggies were fresh and had the perfect flavor - to be honest they were so grab they didn't need much! The servers were busy but very attentive - and very cute! The ambiance is just a typical Irish bar. Being from Chicago I was used to it and felt right at home. I would a million percent come back here when in town!

A dive bar that has unexpectedly great Italian food. No reservations unless you have a group of 6+ and they only receive inquiries via email or Instagram. My favorite is the Murph's Pasta, which is cooked very al dente with a red sauce and spicy sausage. The pasta seems to be fresh made and such a unique firmness that most restaurants don't offer. The portions are extremely filling, from the appetizers to pasta and even dessert. The prices are reasonable too! The only downside is that since it's a bar in the front, it can be extremely chaotic. The majority of the crowd is in the front and that's also where a lot of the staff's attention is. The service is understandably catering to a lot at once while the environment is on the louder side, so it's not your typical restaurant experience but very worthwhile for good pasta! I highly recommend the Murph's Pasta and their tiramisu for dessert!
