Mr. Taco is the closest restaurant to my house & my wife & I finally had a chance to check it out last week after moving to Conroe back in March.Mr. Taco is very spacious inside & the wait staff was super attentive to our order. Ambiance is pretty standard "Mexican restaurant" style, so you probably wont see anything you haven't already seen at 1000s of other Mexican restaurants.I ordered a fajita nacho plate appetizer & a birria taco plate that both were VERY good. Standard Mexican food starters like chips & salsa were also very good. Margaritas were very good according to my wife.All in all, we are fans of Mr. Taco!

For authentic Mexican food don't pass this place up. The Menudo was piping hot with fresh corn tortillas and toppings (onions, jalapeños, cilantro and lime wedges) Menudo is served everyday of the week unlike other competitors who only serve it on the weekends.

Food was average at best, and waitresses were very nice.Went there because of all the great reviews and mentioned that to the waitress as well, with no real positive response. Restaurant had a handful of customers, but nothing to tell my friends and family to come here! Drinks were sub par, looked pretty but weren't made by a professional bartender.Everyone posted about the 'Creamy Jalapeno Sauce" like "Chuys" has, but there wasn't anything like it!We left and girl sitting down behind counter just looked up from her phone, saying nothing!

02-02-23We had a wonderful meal that arrived so fast via DoorDash! Sizzling Fajitas; Camarones Diablos and Queso with chips. Everything was fresh and delicious. Hubby wished the fajitas had a little more meat. Was pleasantly surprised that the Shrimp came with 6 as pictured on Doordash (instead of 4 as listed). The bacon-wrapped jumbo Shrimp were large and cooked to perfection. Charro beans arrived steaming hot and were good too. Chips/Red Salsa/Queso were spot on. Very happy we decided to try them again!

Why 4 stars? Because even under subpar circumstances, these fajitas were tasty. --- --- ---I was looking for a restaurant open on a Sunday evening and came across Mr Taco & Tequila Bar. I'm not sure how I missed this place before when browsing nearby eateries, but I was happy to stop in here, rather than drive much farther to the original spot I had mapped out for food.As has now become the tradition, I ordered mixed fajitas for 2, as my wife and I seem to have tried at least 15 different places in North Houston now and are hosting a bit of an unofficial competition.My gripe about this visit would not have been a factor if we had dined in, but we have a toddler who is terrible at restaurants, so I called in an order for pickup. I placed the bags in my car and had an uneventful drive home. Unfortunately, the condition of the food was as if I had been in a massive car accident after doing donuts on 105. The whole thing was a giant mess and I would definitely recommend they revisit their to-go packing process.But the food itself was really tasty. The fajita meat itself was the highlight. The chips and queso were a solid 4-stars. And the only other misstep was my fault - I should have request refried beans instead of charro, but I didn't hate them, when I normally do. Plus, the churros we ordered were the ideal, sweet finish.Next time we'll definitely dine in!

To be honest, I thought would just be your normal, anglicized Tex-Mex joint for when you don't want anything complicated and maybe something to keep the in-laws happy. However, I was surprised by their extensive menu and some of their authentic options. The pricing was moderate and the staff was very attentive.

Food is great! Drinks are amazing! They will accommodate a large party and provide great service. I've visited countless times and have never had a bad experience. They are consistently good. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and food is always served hot and fresh made. Stop by for a margarita and some good Mexican food!
