Mr. Gyros

We got the combo plate and the chicken shawarma sandwich for takeout! Combo plate - The beef and lamb tasted really good but wasn't too big of a fan of the chicken 3/5 Chicken shawarma - cooked really well and def hit the spot 5/5 This is a great place to grab a big meal for take out, wasn't really a place to sit down and eat. The staff was really friendly and they gave us the food really quickly, which we appreciate! We'd come again for the chicken shawarma but not the combo plate!

The food was mediocre, with the salad on top clearly coming from a pre-cut mix. It was hard to eat, even for a gyro. I would pass on these guys next time I need a quick meal.

The chicken shawarma is SUPER flavorful! I personally enjoy the salad- it's got cucumbers, tomatoes, pepperonis, onions, feta cheese, olives, delicious chicken, and Tzatziki sauce, all the delicious fixings and a vinaigrette sauce over it! So good! My boyfriend enjoys the same but sandwich style. The workers were super friendly and restaurant was clean. We normally go to the Wallingford location but they were already closed (8:30pm Saturday), called the Ballard location and luckily they were open til 2am Saturday. I think these hours should get updated on Yelp to avoid confusion.

Been going here since 2012. Huge portions, friendly dudes, and the gyro meat is always on point.White and hot sauce are solid, I always feel heavy afterwards but it's a happy kind of heavy.I've eaten here maybe once but much nicer to take it to go.

Super, super average. Would never go again. Food lacked any flavor, everything tasted store bought and reheated. The tzatziki tasted like someone from Gary, IN made it, not Greece - zero flavor. Pretty disappointing meal from start to...well, we didn't actually finish.

These guys are heroes in the ballad area. Helping the today get sober with water and great gyros, awesome guys working there.

I can only speak to the vegetarian options here, but if you're looking for an absolutely mid falafel experience, Mr. gyros is your place. Was it bad? No. Was it the best falafel I've ever had? God no. But it had relatively fresh add-ons, the falafel and fries were fried in clean oil, the sandwich was filling and it didn't make me sick. Staff got my order taken care of promptly and the Ambience has all the hallmarks of a drop-in late night stop, which may be the sweet spot for a place like this.Overall, a meal that gets the job done.

I love divey looking spots. Too often they have the best food. Unfortunately, for Mr. Gyros both look, and food are both average. I pass here daily and after a late shift I didn't want to have to wait long for food, so I used it as an excuse to try Mr. Gyros. As mentioned, you step inside and the ambience is much to be desired. The menu is like on poster board and the whole place just could use a remodel. I went with but of course the chicken shawarma, just the shawarma, no combo and somehow that equaled out to if I just got the combo. So right there that was lame. It wasn't very hot considering I got takeout so that wasn't good. The shawarma itself was just average. Didn't hold together well into each bite and I'll admit it's fairly well loaded with fixins and had decent Tzatziki flavor; it just doesn't measure up that well compared to other Shawarma I've had, like at all. Another Shawarma place opened recently literally a block away and now I see why - they're better and probably know it. It's so weird to me because they have, their little "People love us on Yelp" sticker and an award from Yelp as one of the best places in Seattle to Eat from the 2010's. I just don't see it. I don't recommend.

First time ordering here and I am extremely unhappy. The menu items listed are not what you get. Missing several items, the food I did receive had zero flavor. That is the complete opposite of usual Mediterranean food! Very unhappy and completely wasted my money. It's like an Americanized version, absolutely no flavor. Normally you have yellow basmati rice, their rice has weird noodles in it that look like maggots - and the seasoning tastes like sugar and cinnamon, it is SWEET! Not in a good way. Hummus tastes like water. Cannot emphasize enough on the lack of flavor.

Did carry out. Was told, it would be ready in 15minutes. Got there in 10min., food was cold, fries salty! Had to search for the meat on the Gyro, waste of Money! There 01/15/24. Jackie
