First time here. More like 4.5 stars. Overall, I like this place. It's well decorated--interior design is thoughtful and tasteful, not tacky. It shares parking in the back with several other small establishments. Today it's pouring outside, so it's extra quiet. Yet I can imagine parking may be challenging on a sunny day. Food-wise, I think their sushi rolls are better than their ramen--I'm just not into their noodle's texture. Their sushi rolls are of decent size and quality in their respective price category. Service is friendly. My only reservation today is: The restaurant is noticeably cold, as if they didn't turn on the heat.

An excellent addition to Berwyn!The service is very friendly and attentive.The owner comes around and talks with you. You do not really see that a lot anymore. She cares.The sushi and ramen were unbelievable.Order the Motto Motto roll and thank me later!The jalapeño poppers are delicious. What a cool fusion app. They were fresh and perfectly crunch. The tonkatsu ramen is fabulous. We were told the broth cooks for 8 hours and you can really tell. Cannot wait to return!

Very good fresh sushi. I've been here twice now and both times were great. Fast and friendly service. BYOB spot with tons of great options. Shrimp tempura was my favorite. The fried dumplings were ok but pretty greasy and didn't sit well later. They have a homemade sauce that's sweet. Too sweet for me. Shrimp tempura was good and crunchySpicy tuna- big chunks of tuna compared to the usual minced version. Slight spice kick but great flavor. Berwyn roll- fresh fish with great flavor

This is the best ramen and the best sushi we have had on the Mainline. They are at an entirely different level and we have had a lot of ramen and sushi. We ordered the yellowtail belly and bluefin tuna toro sashimi, the sea scallops sensation appetizer, the black garlic ramen and the tonkotsu ramen.

Superb sushi. The fish is high quality and fresh. The Toro roll (fatty belly of the tuna) is a must try. It was one of the best rolls I've had in years. The ramen is the best in the area. My wife and I LOVE ramen. We have tried the other local ramen spots (the one in Gateway shopping center and the one in Bryn Mawr). Motto is the best.The service is great every time. I feel like I've been invited into someone's home. The last time we visited was on my birthday. They gave us a complimentary chocolate dessert and sang happy birthday!Our family has made it a tradition to come to Motto every Saturday after our 7 year old daughter's soccer games. Our daughter always orders the salmon roll. The last time we visited, we had to order another one for her after she gobbled down the first! She says Motto's salmon roll is better than other places we've gone.I hate the term "foodie", but we are a family that enjoys GOOD food. Motto knocks it out of the park. We are so happy that we have a great Ramen/sushi joint so close to home.By the way, their prices are very reasonable.

This is a really nice addition to the main line.The sushi is out of this world and the ramen is my new favorite. The owner is super nice and always comes around the tables to chat. She told me the ramen broth takes 8 hours to cook! I always swap the ramen noodles for Udon, I highly recommend.The jalapeño poppers are awesome. A nice fusion app.Motto Motto roll is the perfect balance of flavors. Parking in the back is convenient.

I made it back to Motto tonight! (After a dynamite take out experience previously reviewed). Amazing! My friend and I BYOBed it with a great French white wine, and shared the "Motto Motto roll" for an appetizer- it incorporates spicy tuna, seared steak, asparagus, scallion, truffle and mushroom oil and is delicious. Now, if you, like most folks, equate Ramen to the 3 for a dollar sodium bombs you had when you were a broke college kid, you owe it to yourself to try Ramen at Motto- it is a specialty dish of highest quality, including home made noodles (we followed another Yelper's tip to order their "Tonkotsu Ramen" with the thicker, chewy and wonderful Udon noodles) their incredible 8 hour broth which is the best I ever tasted anywhere in my entire life, along with pork, mushroom, fish cake, red ginger, bamboo shoots, scallion, soft boiled egg. The portion is huge and fully gratifying, and we did not leave a drop! The service was great, it was a very nicely appointed setting and nice and quiet ( I hate noisy restaurants!) and intimate. They have an amazing sushi and sashimi selectio. I give them 5 stars and call them the greatest yet undiscovered restaurant on the Main Line, right across from the Berwyn train station, a couple doors up from 30 Main.

This place was beautifully redecorated. It has a much brighter interior design now. Their sushi is very fresh. The sauce is perfectly set with the sushi. Came in and surprisingly found out that they have happy hour menu! So I ordered the sushi sashimi combo, yellowtail jalapeños, and the mango tuna wrap. They all came out delicious! The staffs are very friendly. It's not easy to find a good sushi place in this area but this is the one! Recommend and we will come back for sure!

The food was delicious and the customer service was great. We split a few sushi rolls, all were good but shrimp tempura was my favorite. Also got the steak Ramen which was fantastic! The owner Mia was very nice and welcoming! Can't wait to come back!
