Pretty good Irish pub with the decor to match. Good to sit at the bar and have a quick glass, or sit down at a table and enjoy a dinner. The food is decent and all around price and quality is good. Good size chicken wing and sauce. Large drink selection. They're usually pretty busy so service can be slow, but overall decent spot to stop in. Thanks

I've tried both the Reuben sandwich and the Guinness beef stew here before. The fries are fantastic and the beef stew is the best I've ever had. Plus, Moriarty's is conveniently located near the academy of music. One of my favorite pubs in the city.

As the late great Toby Kieth once said, "I love this bar it's my kind of place just strolling thru the front door puts a big smile on my face!" So does the awesome chicken wings, half & half beers & French onion soup. Great service and a shout out to my NEPA bartender Britney

Got off to a slow start here since we were underquoted on the wait time for a table on Friday night. There were 3 of us and we were told 25 minutes, ended up waiting at least 45 while watching many parties of 2 who came in after us get seated. It's a tight space and hard to fit big groups I guess. The bar is full service if you can find a seat. While we waiting, we chatted with the hostess and learned a little about the history of the place.Once we were seated, the service was very timely. Water was brought out right after we ordered drinks and refilled when we needed it, beers weren't far behind, and meals came out in a reasonable time.Their draft beer list is long and has a really good variety of different styles, strengths, Irish vs domestic beers. Easy to find something you'll like. I ordered a Breckenridge "Christmas ale", which I loved - it was like a dark ale flavoured like a stout or porter.I had the blackened salmon to eat. I loved the vodka sauce that the salmon was dressed with and the sides of asparagus and bell pepper rice were great complements. It was a good-sized cut of salmon. The prices are reasonable across the board.Again, it's tight, and because it was busy, that meant people were really packed in the bar area, and it was loud, but the noise level wasn't so bad near our table. It did occasionally get drafty by the door though. It's a cool building and has the classic pub atmosphere.

Was in town for one night and wanted to watch NHL. Bartender was great - attentive, fund and kept the rowdy crowd under control.

My Fiancé and I came here for drinks on NYE 2023 while we were making our way to the river to watch the fireworks. We were looking for a place for good drinks that wasn't charging a cover and found this along our walk. The drinks were made great. My fiancé had captain and cokes and I had jameson and gingers. Service was quick and friendly and the price was very reasonable for Philly. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much we stayed until we had to leave to finish the walk to the river instead of bar hopping down. I highly recommend stopping in. The feel is a true Irish pub with dark woodwork, signage, and taps and mugs displayed throughout.

Came here for lunch with my coworker today to experience a new place. We had a good time.Empty for the most part when we arrived about 12:30pm. We got to sit wherever we wanted. Service was quick with menus and water.I wanted to compare Moriarty's roast beef with the one I recently had at Fergie's Pub (See my Review!) so I got the Ale House Sandwich and a French Onion Soup. The soup was so-so but not bad. The bread inside was a soggy mess. Cheese was almost too much (again, can't believe I'm saying it), but tasted fine. There was a good amount of onions within. The Ale House Sandwich was hearty but almost not enough meat. The horseradish I wished was more plentiful but did have a bite to it. I ended up taking half the meat out of one side and putting it with the other to make a "smaller" but more full sandwich. The fries it came with were nice and crispy. My coworker ordered only an iced tea and chicken cheesesteak. It was a full chicken breast cut up into small pieces with your choice of cheese. It, too, came with the crispy straight fries. She only ate 1/2 of the sandwich and brought the rest home.Service was fine and friendly. The bar is definitely an Irish Pub with lots of wood.$50 not including tip for a pint, iced tea, two sandwiches, and a soup.I'm tipping my hat to Fergie's Pub for this sandwich battle, but we'll probably be back.

This place has an eclectic vibe - it's filled with a ton of photos on the walls - wood bench booths that reminds you of small church pews - we were in town for a tournament so there were about 22 of us. We were seated in the back of the restaurant - so it was a private room feel. The service was great - they made sure to keep checking in to see if we needed anything - I ordered a Margarita and the chicken cutlet sandwich with fries. It was good but just a little dry - someone else ordered fish and chips and said it was delish - also had the fried avocado appetizer which was so yummy
